I agree on the ruins mod, it feels nice to not be struggling to get all the resources but it is less satisfying to have them handed to you. Nice to see you back in it.

Hey, You have traversable openings into the Tower Ruin. So, you blocked the main ground doorway, but there are two other "doorways" that lead inside.

That's a nice spawn you've got there. I left my new world on default, so my copper spawns are rare. I had to travel so far just to get one copper deposit.
Yeah, I don't want it to be too hard, so I always up it. The grind is real in this game so making it a bit easier is ok with me 🥰
Could probably place a raft on the other side of those narrow cave openings and sit on it to pass through the 1 block openings. If you have the option to make a sling, it (and a lot of stones) will take out a bear from a distance safely.
I like the sling a lot, I usually play a malefactor. I am hoping to get a bow soon because as a hunter this time it should be ideal for those pesky bears LOL

I love better ruins too but yeah it gives too many goodies. I think there was mention that there will not be aged boards in the ruins in the next update.

I would definitely not mind if the loot was nerfed a bit in Better ruins :)
Yes the loot nerf will happen with the 1.18 update for BetterRuins 😊
I always make 2 stacks of rope ladders right after baskets. That way, once I fall down a hole, I can climb out. I only carry one stack in case I die in the hole...
I still haven't gotten used to using rope ladders. Old habits die hard! LOL
rewatching so I can catch up, and oh boy, i'm glad that the better ruins mod rebalanced before the 1.18 full release. So much better now.

The loot in that ruin was pretty ridiculous in a bad way, IMO
@@Pest789 Agreed. I think there is too much stuff. Like I said, I am going to embrace it and see where it leads. So many people love that mod, I just wish it was less op.
Working on it with a complete loot overhaul for the 1.18 update.
No more aged boards.
And every loottable revisited.
Will see how it goes a lot of testing to do

The upcoming 1.18 release for BetterRuins will balance the loot with a complete overhaul.
No aged boards anymore.
And all loot pools Revisited.

Thats a nice structure. Sometimes I wish we could rebuild and settle these places with craft friendly NPC who tend crops and trade surpluses...

I had that mod in my SP as well and it is a bit overpowered but I think it would be good for a playthrew where you wanted to be a nomad and never settle down .

The more ruins mod I love.. but until its updated to new version, I do not use it.. too many blocks get turned to AIR.. so stuff floating in the air all over for me with it. same with the dungeon one. love em.. but waiting for updates.

@@HypnotiqueAKAHypi on the BIG ruin you can find.. or bigger 2.. had the issues. BUT it could be another mod replacing those bits.. not resting my server yet, waiting for replies from the others if they are up for a reset (expected with pre version of course ) So may good mods.. I like how some of the mod people are doing even more, like the corpse mod, and his others.. DArkHekRoMaNT has a commonLib now for all his mods so i think easier to keep them up to date. So many modders are doing updates, so its great! More than willing to give them more time to get 1.18 going pre is meant for bug finding and the mod people to sort out issues. LOVE this game

How do you drop items into your inventory from hotbar and crafting menu with key strokes?
I am not at my computer right now, so I cant confirm but I think it is shift and left click and they will go back and forth

Haha, no, I have been remiss in updating the mod list mainly because I don't know what mods are working with the 1.18 update.
Currently I have Carry On, Medieval Expansion, Zoom, and Better Ruins. They all seems to be working. Also, I know Tels has updated Bricklayers for now, and I have that one too.
I do know that Prospector Info is NOT working as of pre 7. It actually caused me to not be able to access my game (which completely freaked me out for a bit until I read the crash log!), so I deleted it!
I will be sure to make a mention of the mods as I know what is working and what is not!
