- With the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire it is time for me to come out of my mother's basement and create an updated strength and power tier list for the monsterverse.

Great list, it's similar to where I'll put them but my issue is where you put Mechagodzilla. For starters Godzilla at the start of the flim (Gvk) was said by the novel and the artbook said that Godzilla was" half rested" to "near full strength " and, after he shot his atomic breath down to hollowearth and, fought kong he used 50% of his energy of his remaining energy he also drained his atomic breath to it's peak so he would be about 40-50% full strength with a weaken atomic breath when up against MechaGodzilla. When MechaGodzilla and Godzilla clashed Godzilla overpowered and launched back physical in a weaken state. It was said that after multiple blows,punches, stomps and his beam to his Godzilla's chest Mg did no real damage and that his attacks are impervious Godzilla's skin and that MG had to use his beam down Godzilla's throat to finish him off. Kong was also stated to be 50% of his full strength and even then Kong was able to catch and react to many of MG's atks and could hold back MG's drill tail for a set period of time, Kong also can break out of mg's his grip. Not to mention that mg durability just sucks he sliced to bits by a weaken Godzilla's atomic breath charged axe meanwhile Godzilla took two blow from a stronger changed axe and was bearing harmed. No matter how you put it or who said it MG is not that guy, he'll bearing scales to a full strength Godzilla, King Ghidorah and Prime. I'll put him on top of Queen tier tho and Dagon to.
I definitely agree Mechagodzilla is less durable than Godzilla, but I think it should still be a very close fight when Godzilla is at full power. It could be argued either way. However Kong should definitely be below Mechagodzilla since in GxK the humans said Kong needed the gauntlet to fight enemies as strong as Mechagodzilla.

In GvK, Kong was actually weakened for most of the movie. He had been sedated before and after the aircraft carrier fight and the novel states (if I remember correctly) it takes around 24 hours to get out of his blood. This means that in his initial fight with Godzilla, he was able to Headbutt and knock him out while weakened! He was also weakened facing the warbats and possibly in the final battle as well.
Also, I think Skar King should be just below, if not above Kong with axe as the one he fought wasn’t base king, it was with his axe.
And again, PUT THE ROCK CRITTERS UP! THEY’RE BIG!
Skar King did fight Kong when he had his ax, but Kong was quickly disarmed and ended up getting the better of Skar King without it.

@@weeaboo-warrior although kong did throw Skar king off, I’m not sure if that’s really getting the better of him. We dont know how the battle would have gone after that but since Kong had his axe at the start, and Skar King was basically winning against Kong since Kong only overcame him one time, I count that as Skar King being above Kong with axe. We can’t 100% say tho since the fight didn’t end.
@@XYZ_29129 that’s true, though Skar King can’t disarm Godzilla or Muto Prime like he can Kong, so I think he is kind of screwed against them. He should be closer to Mothra and Rodan than Ghidorah and Godzilla imo.
Nice content. Beast glove kong's placing is ideal. Some changes I would make : warbat >= female muto > ion dragon > male muto. Ghidorah >= gvk godzilla >=2019 godzilla > mechagodzilla. Current Kong could also be argued above mechagodzilla. I think tiamat deserves to be on queen tier given her energy absorbtion. Godzilla probably obliterated her using an atomic breath comparable to the one that blasted all the way down to hollow earth. I assume that given he was supercharged and glowing excessively. Suko is surprisingly durable to the point where he could be argued just below doug. Dude tanked the crystal explosion which was straight up in the kiloton range.

Warbat is kinda weird because it has great strength but terrible durability. Definitely Ion Dragon>male MUTO>female MUTO. ID tanked more powerful Godzilla beam and has projectile attack unlike MUTOs. Male MUTO did better vs Godzilla than female MUTO did. GvK Goji>Ghidorah. 2019 Goji was already giving pre power up Ghidorah the work. With some added speed/agression, Goji would definitely beat Ghidorah, especially since GvK Goji was so beam spammy

@@weeaboo-warriorYou should definitely get into it. It’s one of the best anime’s ever, and it’s 5th season and first movie are currently in the works. 4th season was dubbed and released in September 2023, so it is definitely in motion. Seven’s power growth from Seasons 1-4 is AMAZING

@@weeaboo-warrior episodes range from 12-20 minutes at most, so it’s not a very arduous task. You could realistically finish a 1 season in 2.5 hours or less if binging. Season 1 is a little slow and primarily comedic, but it is part of the worldbuilding process that becomes clear in the later seasons.

Well done, though my only note would be how long you out the spirit tiger, while it’s listed as only like 15 meters, visually it’s shown HUGE compared to kong, who was nearly fully grown, standing only like 30 feet less than Godzilla vs kong. Either way, In this specific case I’m biased because I love the feline monsters in the monsterverse.

Couldn't have said it better. It would be super cool if you could do it on time with another one on May the fourth (Tales of the Empire maybe). That's not easy tho cuz his work is really refined and well researched unlike other Star Wars CZcamsrs especially the "bigger" ones.
Doing Tales of The Empire on the same day or within 24 hours doesn't sound impossible cuz it's short and doesn't have that many characters. However completing Bad Batch on 1st may is a bit of a challenge but still it's just 3 days before he planned so he can still do it. Come on Master we are rooting for you !!!.

Well done tier list! Cool stuff. I think Kong, Skar King, and Shimo have been underrated imo. I have a hard time believing Kong/Skar King would lose to 2014 Godzilla, who was much weaker compared to later.
Shimo has certain better showings vs a more powerful Kong than what Godzilla has. Head up, it looked like Shimo was actually stronger. Godzilla tackled her when she was distracted. Shimo has a faster win con imo.
Thanks! A Godzilla prior to 2014 defeated Skar King and his whole tribe, so I don’t see why 2014 Godzilla wouldn’t be above him. Shimo could be above Godzilla, that’s a fight that could go either way.
@@weeaboo-warrior I think that speaks to fluctuating power levels due to fluctuating radiation levels. Also, post 2014 Monsterverse Godzilla has better feats across the board compared to 2014 Godzilla (GvK Godzilla can throw Kong a large distance. 2014 Godzilla couldn’t throw male MUTO as far. 2014 Godzilla tail whip takes alot more effort to do than later. Same with atomic breath. Etc). If a few apes can give Kong some trouble than dozens of apes should be able to beat Godzilla. I would say if he was at a distance he could just beam snipe them but his accuracy was not great when trying to hit Kong and/or Scar King

In short, it's a series that starts with the adventures of a boy called Yugo who wants to find out who he is and where he came from.
The series starts with a more childish feel but becomes more serious as the seasons go on, the series is very reminiscent of Avatar from the Legend of Aang.
It has reincarnation, it has several races with varying powers, it has world exploration, the cartoon universe is very rich in content.
There are 3 movies in 45-minute that you have to see before going to season 3

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it the Kong in King Tier that Skar King scales to?
Skar King initially disarmed Kong, but still lost. The reason Kong needs the axe to be up a tier is because he can’t lethally damage the kaiju in that tier without it and he can’t block their breath attacks. So while the axe doesn’t help Kong much against Skar King, it massively helps him against Godzilla and Mechagodzilla.

Also do you think its kinda just plot tiamat lost so quickly in gxk, godzilla busted down her house and then she got off screened, just note that godzilla took her lair for a short while and became op, she was there for years and was putting up a good fight even before then.
Yeah Godzilla was amped up on a nuclear power plant before fighting her, so that had something to do with how easy he won.
@weeaboo-warrior still she should have been about even with godzilla in the water before gxk and both got powered up after that. tiamats lair was so effective that godzilla killed her to take it and evolved quickly, she was there for years so shouldn't she be more powerful?

I can actually agree with most of this. Although I would still put Shimo over Evolved Godzilla. I know the movie does not do a very good job at showing how powerful he is but it is stated in the novel that he is stronger so I would just go with that
Thats actually a lie. Evolved G was still inferior to Shimo by monarch officials, only with Supercharge it said he is equal to her, but it's still a toss up.
Kong himself described her during Rio battle as the strongest thing he ever faced, including Godzilla. Not to mention, she could go absolute zero and Godzilla must safed by mothra from her ice beam. A moment longer and all his atoms had be stopped and a charge up to free himself would be impossible.

Ghidorah should be above all Godzilla forms that aren’t doping. Bear in mind, Ghidorah essentially won the confrontation with Godzilla during KOTM. The latter was dead to rightz after Ghidorah dropped him, and only rebounded after Mothra's magic brought him back up, the use of the ORCA, and his transition to Burning Godzilla (itself an apparent one-time deal born out of Serizawa's nuclear sacrifice, which had already supercharged him beforehand).
While Godzilla gave Ghidorah a good fight in Boston, he would've decisively lost if not for Mothra and also humanity's intervention/aid. His best showing against Ghidorah was the oceanic fight off the coast of Mexico (and, notably, 'in the ocean' was also where he had a much easier time fighting Kong during KvG). There’s no good case for Ghidorah to not be higher by some small but definitive margins within the same tier.
Ghidorah won due to amping himself with the power grid. Without that he was about even with base Godzilla. Godzilla would have killed Ghidorah in the ocean battle had it not been for human intervention.
@@weeaboo-warriorand to add to that, it was said he would have still won even without Thermo (idk if this was true but it wouldn’t change anything). There’s also so much proof that Ghidorah isn’t as powerful as Godzilla.

He had hollow earth energy and could barely even harm a critically weakened , 4 years exhausted Godzilla with less that 50% nuclear energy and had to fight him for like several hours just to be a little bit better than Kong that was brought from the dead by a power source.

The arguments about Godzilla and Kong being 'tired' is so uncalculable and lame imo. When I went into KotM, I saw base Godzilla almost effortlessly tearing apart Ghidorah's limbs underwater, and when I saw Godzilla vs Kong I saw MechaGodzilla practically win a 1v2 against the two main characters. That's simpler than reddit AMA's from character artists.

Few errors I noticed in scaling
1. Kong even without axe would decimate Godzilla 2014, Dagon, and mute prime because of his speed and power
Like he was matching so well against the powerful 2021 goji so good even without axe until the atomic breath was fired like the 2014 Godzilla and Dagon would not have a chance they’re too slow and no where near as powerful and prime would just get blitz or jumped on and smashed
2. Monster zero and Godzilla from 2019 to 21 beat mechagodzilla because the robot threw everything he had against weak Godzilla and he couldn’t finish him or barley damage him critically, and his speed ands agility was the only thing keeping him ahead as Godzilla was too tired and weak to do it but physically mecha was still outmatched in the beginning
3. Mothers is underrated and she subdued so many titans including ghidorahs heads and threw Godzilla she should be above camazotz and near base Kong
4. Beats glove Kong + axe Kong can beat mecha Godzilla
The god tier should be: thermo and evolved Godzilla (it was stated that evolved Goni is still evolving and not done yet)
King tier should be: shimo, 2024 goji- full power, 2021 goji, monster zero, beats glove + axe Kong, 2019 goji, mecha g, beast glove kong, base Kong, skar king, 2014 Godzilla, multi prime, Dagon, mothra
Extra things
1. Kong with a beats glove and a charged axe would be higher (we assume the axe isn’t always charged)
2. Kong with glove increases his durability and endurance as he fights very well against evolved Godzilla when holding back and takes the stomps to the chest without almost dying
3. Skar king would beat 2014 goji and below as he can fight axe kong, and Skar is so damn fast just to hit
4. Regular full power 2019-21 Godzilla would beat mecha definitively as he would be faster and just use his atomic blast to slice up the robot
1. Kong is faster, but he will have trouble actually damaging them. Maybe he beats MUTO prime.
2. Mecahgodzilla would have killed Godzilla if Kong hadn't saved him.
3. Mothra could be above Camazotz, especially GxK Mothra.
4. Beast glove Kong with the axe definitely has a chance against Mechagodzilla.
Extra things:
3. Skar King would be hard to hit, but I think Godzilla would survive all of his attacks and eventually come out on top.
4. Godzilla might win, but it would be a hard battle.

O Envolved evolved tem mais radiação que o thermo.
E a radiação deixa ele mais forte e mais poderoso, a prova disso é a luta do Godzilla contra o Ghidorah em Boston, onde o Godzilla conseguia arremessar o ghidorah que nem lixo por aí.
E na própria novel também é afirmado que a radiação deixa ele mais forte em todos os sentidos, tanto que o godzilla de 2014 pra 2019 até cresceu por absorver radiação de bombas atômicas e do seu covil.
E não, o thermo não é mais poderoso que o evolved.
Primeiro que o thermo tem energia de mothra + uma ogiva nuclear.
O evolved é a energia do maior covil de radiação do planeta (que é derivado da radiação solar + energia da terra oca) + toda a energia q o Godzilla acumulou antes. (da Scylla e do reator francês).
Já dá pra ver que o acúmulo de energia e radiação do evolved é muito maior que o do thermo, a ponto do corpo do Godzilla ter que evoluir pra suportar tamanho poder.
E também, no filme foi dito que as sinaturas de radiação do Godzilla estavam em níveis nunca antes vistos, oque já prova a superioridade do evolved, e isso ainda é reforçado nesse trecho da novel:
"tartaruga jacaré. Certa vez, ela ouviu dizer que se alguém se agarrasse a você, não iria desistir até a próxima vez que um raio caísse.
Quem disse isso a ela? Não importava. Monstro H-sim, isso foi melhor, não tão complicado quanto "Hipotético" e um aceno para Monstro

Hampton viu isso agora, mesmo sem instrumentos. O novo brilho exalava de Godzilla estava se acumulando em sua cauda, incendiando todo o seu corpo com energia mal contida. Seus olhos eram estrelas gêmeas, nebulosas chorosas e brilhantes. Todos os cabelos do pescoço de Hampton se arrepiaram.

Red saiu dos escombros, virando o olhar freneticamente até pousar no fragmento. Ele correu em direção a ele. “É isso”, disse Hampton. "Ele precisa disso para controlar o Monstro H."
Godzilla parecia ter descoberto isso também, enviando seu hálito ardente para o macaco vermelho, forçando-o a se esquivar do fragmento, escalar edifícios e pular de telhado em telhado para evitar o ataque de Godzilla. Ele cambaleou pela cidade destruída e chegou perto do cristal azul, pegando-o e segurando-o bem alto, com um sorriso de escárnio triunfante no rosto.
Até que o sopro atômico de Godzilla atingiu sua mão e fez o fragmento voar mais uma vez."
Se você ler isso, vai perceber que o evolved carregando o raio espiral foi dito tendo um nível de radiação nunca visto antes, o thermo é até citado aí.

Bare minimum Ghidorah's up there with Shimo, all her feats are stated to be in Ghidorah's capability and everything we have has him equal or above her.

Shimo is blatantly implied to be above Ghidorah in the movie and novel. Ghidorah might be close, but definitely below, and not equal either.
Mechagodzilla is as high as it is due to beating Godzilla and almost beating Godzilla and Kong at the same time. Godzilla and Kong were tired, but there is no blatant proof they could have won on their own, just some statements implying Godzilla might have been able to do it. So Mechagodzilla could go right below Ghidorah, there is nothing wrong with that.

There are. Literally MG's creator said multiple times Godzilla would win. The fact beast glove Kong is stated above Mg in the film and book, but still would be torn apart by base Godzilla, is proof enough of this. MG's too weak to even damage Godzilla really.

Godzilla not being at his current full strength doesn't mean his current full strength is stronger than his previous full strength. Official statements say Godzilla is stronger, and his weight given was also higher than it was for KOTM, so if you take that at face value he is massively bigger in GvK.
I need to see those statements about them saying the overexaggerated Shimo's power. If I remember correctly the statement that said Ghidorah was Godzilla's strongest opponent came out before the new movie, which means the statement obviously doesn't apply to Shimo.
The guy who designed Mechagodzilla said his opinion was just his own opinion and not canon. He also said it would be an extremely close fight. So by his own words Mechagodzilla has to at least be right next to Godzilla.

Okay by canon GvK Godzilla when hyper weakened with "barely any reserves" according to Wingard one shots the mech, we know cause it happened in the movie. Any Godzilla above end of GvK one shots the mech too, it's not a close fight.

Like I said, if the Ghidorah statement came out before the release of New Empire, it doesn't apply to Shimo until further notice. You have to go based off other things. Shimo doesn't even need a statement of her own to counteract that, but she does since the novel implies she defeated Ghidorah and straight up called her the ultimate titan.
Wingard never said weakened Godzilla can oneshot Mechagodzilla. He said things would have gone different if Godzilla was at full power, and that maybe Mecahgodzilla wasn't stronger than full power Godzilla.

I would argue MUTO Prime goes above Godzilla 2014, given her raw power is immense and the fact she technically defeated Godzilla 2014
Her species directly counters Godzilla’s, so I think Godzilla is overall stronger, but she might be able to beat him due to the match up. Another thing to consider is she had to repeatedly use hit and run tactics against Godzilla to weaken him before their final fight.

Also the differential between capacity and potency is pointless as we know they’re intertwined. Godzilla has always powered up by having more nuclear energy in every way. Now he has 20x more. The entire point of Burning Godzilla is that he’s release the energy that was going to explode him via a gift from Mothra.
Evo Godzilla is naturally holding more energy than that at all time. And is therefore more potent in every way.
Shimo should also oneshot burning as well. How he breath works in the novel is that she specifically neutralises the energy Godzilla feeds on. Evo needed to evolve temperature regulation to have a shot. And Evos breath is stated above Burning anyway and she tanked it. Those are the top two by all indications.

Meaning that even a 100% out of prime Kong easily overpowers mecha. Granted he might need the glove or axe to punch through mechas armour but he’s for sure stronger

Mechagodzilla is trash it lost against Kong and Godzilla after they were fighting for hours tired as shit they were. Kong was even on some type of sedative even. It's not a Ghidorah level threat by a miles.
If you are including amped Ghidorah I could agree, but I think at base level of power it’s very close. The people who worked on the movie imply 100% Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla would be very close, and Godzilla got stronger since KOTM where he was already around Ghidorah level.
