- Found some ways to custom 2023 Chevrolet and GMC Colorado and Canyon Infotainment System. Remove annoying icons from non subscription of Onstar and add icons to the left side menu. - Visit my blogsite to support my channel - gear137.blogspot.com/ or www.gear137.com
Excellent!
Cool! Thanks!
Good tips!
Great tip thanks!
Nice! Just did a video on my setup on my 3rd gen as well!
I will check it out
So what do you do when it doesn't stay there? Mine resets every other day?
How do you remove the extra screen? I accidentally added it and can't figure out how to delete it???
I did the same if I am understanding you correctly will look into that.
Can you remove the system and just put a radio/player with standard knobs.
press the trash can icon and hold it for 4 days then it will delete all touch system items and install an old school standard push button and knob AM radio
You can do whatever you want. It was a free country at one time.
so if you dont have on star your maps wont work ?
I believe one just has to have any wi-fi connection. I had a T-Mobile module that plugged into the OBDII connector. That gave you T-Mobile's version of On-Star including a wi-fi hotspot for connecting phones, tablets, etc. It worked great in my 2019 Equinox and 2022 Tacoma giving me Android Auto maps with no problems.
Android Auto Google Maps work fine ! Just not the onstar wifi version.
you can use your cellphone's hotspot by going into your cell's setting and turning on hotspot and if they are paired your car/radio/info screen can use your cellphone's internet service to run maps and all other internet services like google assistant/siri and so on
Is there weather/weather radar app. I was looking on mine and didn’t see it.
That would be nice - I like the Android maps in satellite mode., but no weather app that I am aware of
Ur on star should be good for 3 years? So not sure why yours isn’t working
Not nowadays - They cut it off after 30 day trial
I think the 23' Colorado has 30 days and the 23' Canyons have 3 years of Onstar
Yea my Canyon definitely has 3 years! Not 30 days
Canyon’s have 3 years free and free wifi as well.
My 23 ZR2 had 90 days of free OnStar
Ah, cool, thanks! I just picked up a ZR2 last weekend, and having to dig thru menus for the foglight is annoying AF. What is more of a HUGE issue to me, is that I use Sony Walkman's for music, not my company phone, and even though the Walkman has bluetooth, I can't get it to play thru the audio system. I don't like satellite radio and refuse to pay for it, so, not being able to play MY music is going to be a huge issue if I can't find a workaround. I'm going to try my new Walkman that has updated bluetooth, and if that doesn't work I'll try plugging in a thumbdrive with the music into the USB in the dash.
