Very good video. We are headed out on the Emerald on Jan 22 for Panama. I actually love your tour because it show us places we missed the first time. Your photography is very clear and sharp. We loved it! We are snow bound right now but it will be dry when we leave. Thank God. Thanks again. Keep this up.

Thank you for an incredible tour! It’s exactly what I wanted and needed. While I very rarely invest 30min in a video, yours was excellent in showing the whole ship, pacing, visuals, the pop-in maps - just everything!
Having been on Crown and Sapphire, both Grand Class ships, the layout is nearly identical; but you found things I never discovered in about a month at sea between the two ships!

I personally like to see the dining rooms before my cruise. Because I don’t gamble, I didn’t know speakeasy existed - cool as an fyi thing. And, I love knowing where the library is (didn’t find it in my last cruise).
This ship is the twin of the Crown Princess in every way. And it shares many features with the whole Crown Class ships.

We got back from a 2 week cruise on March 6, 2024. We had a great time and the wait staff on deck 15 was wonderful. Some of the food was very good and some wasn't very good. Overall we had a wonderful time. We'd do it again in a heart beat.
Yep, we feel the same way about Princess, especially the service. It's what makes Princess tops for us. We liked the dining room food the best. Buffet was ok, as was the pool food. For the moment, they're our first choice for a cruise line, although we need to branch out to other brands for our ship tours. Have you been on other lines?
Great video tour! Probably the best I've seen in a long time! We'll be sailing on the Emerald in April, and it was very different than the Caribbean Princess. We will have to go to the Adagio, instead of the Wheelhouse for our pre dinner cocktail, as I don't want to compete will the Gastropub crowd. As I said very informative!

Good review of the ship. We sailed on the Ruby in November. I think the Emerald and Ruby are of the same class. We have cruised on much larger ships but i think this size class is our favorite.
I enjoy Princess overall. Elegant and dependable with great food!

Really informative video! thank you :). We will be sailing on Emerald this summer and this was a cool overview of what to expect. How did you find the food? We have unlimited casual dining and 2 specialty dining with Premier package, if that helps with your descriptions of the food. A few years ago (pre COVID), I sailed on Norwegian and the food was so horrible that I am worried about the dining. Excited about everything else though! The ship looks great!
Thanks! The food is one of our favorite things about Princess, the reason we keep coming back. The dining room is our favorite, the food has always been spot-on for us. We use the same waiters and dining room, so they learn our preferences and plan ahead. It's really nice! International Cafe is also a favorite - 24 hrs with great sandwiches. Let us know how it went! so where would you suggest, would be the best place for our small group of 4 adults, to play games/cards, in the evenings, where we wouldn't be loud, but wouldn't want to be in the way or bother anybody, ... just a social/card playing table/comfy chairs area?
My vote would be the buffett dining area after hours. Lots of large tables to choose from, and you can grab a tea or coffee, dessert too. I've seen lots of folks do that!

Ok, let’s unpack this.
What is free on the cruise?
Buffett, International Café, Fitness Center, Dining Room (reservations recommended), Pool, Shows, Activities
Are all the buffets free?
Yes
Is there anything to drink free like juice or you have to purchase the drink package?
Fresh squeezed juices at the bar is for a fee. Pre-made juice at the buffet is complementary. That said, International Cafe charges for coffee and tea.
Are the buffets only open at certain times?
They open around 5-6am and close at 11pm - Midnight but always check your specific sailing.
The $200 deposit to book is converted to onboard cruise credit?
Different offers have different rules. Check the fine print on your offer.
Can it be used at the casino?
Possibly, but check your offer as they differ.
Is there a fee for the kids club?
No, but the child or teen needs to register with a parent beforehand.
@@ThePortLowdown thank you, i always receive free casino cruise certifcates but i have never used them and have never cruised but now my child wants to go on a cruise so im trying to figure out how much this "free cruise" is actually gonna cost me.
@@nicemeetinguhereCasino offers differ so not knowing your specific, here are the guidelines
1. Yes the $200 can be used in casino
2. If your offer does not include "Plus" then alcohol drinks are extra
3. The offer is valid for a room for 2 people, means you have to pay for the 3rd and 4th if you bring them
4. You have to pay for port taxes and fees - different sailings will be different amounts
5. You have to pay for gratuities at the end of the cruise. It's $16 per person per day, unless you are in a suite then it's higher.
Here's an example:
7 days sailing to Alaska for 2 people will cost $250 port fee + $112 gratuity. So $362 each for passenger 1 and 2.

How do you use the Internet Cafe?
For the inTRAnet, that is the ship's internal system, you can access anytime. For the inTERnet, you'll need an internet plan and access during business hours. Not sure if you can do this per hour or you need to pay for the day. During business hours, there is staff to assist
Why don't you show the cabins
We did, but the video files got corrupted, so I couldn't include it. Sorry about that. Our cabin is a normal feature of our videos, usually.

I just got off the Emerald Princess on a two week cruise and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had at sea. The food was just putrid and the entertainment was a joke. I feel like I wasted my money. The layout of the ship also is so small. All the pool decks have very little space to traverse. The ship is a disaster and Princess should be ashamed of themselves for allowing the food to be as bad as it was. I will never sail Princess again. I took a chance after years with Celebrity and now I will never venture away from Celebrity and Disney. Princess needs to stop resting on the laurels of the Love boat. Those days are over shame on you.
Wow. I'm sorry to hear about that! Holiday sailings are always hit or miss because of overbooking and crowds. Most of our sailings with Princess have been quite good, with some bad experiences too. But our service has always been friendly and reliable.
Yikes. I was considering booking this ship for 14 days this summer but it sounds like that might not be a good idea 😂
We had the exact opposite experience on both the Princess Emerald & Sapphire. The food, entertainment, staff, and ship was excellent. We love Princess and just booked another 17 day cruise on the Emerald. We just did a family cruise on Royal Caribbean and I had a similar disappointing experience with RC to your experience on Princess. Everyone has different experiences based on their expectations and specific cruise date. I'm sorry yours was not a good one with Princess.
