I would also just put out there that mental mindset is vital right now as a lot of people tend to spiral down being negative and if you keep your mind positive then best believe you will feel better and do better.

100% agree here. exam season is long, and those who can stay fresh and positive during it will do better
english lit is my 2nd best subject (1st is lang) and i use mr salles essay plans because they cover almost all questions likely to come up, and give you the best versatile quotes. i make notes from his videos and use them to write my essays out, i do this till i have the whole thing memorised.
I'm predicted a 9 and my memory of quotes is actually so bad so its ver helpful.
one thing which is really important and often overlooked is having a good pen. i struggled sm in my sociology exam because i was using a ballpoint pen i found on the floor the day before the exam lol. would 100% recommend a more inky pen to write faster.

My teachers predictions were surprisingly accurate for the GCSE- They betted on food tests and enzymes : both were EVERYWHERE and wer the 6 markers! I think i fluffed up the biology maths by converting ine thing i shouldnt of, but i wrote out clearly so nethod marks. I actually needed additional paper which was painful, cause the head invigilator stopped in the middle if the hall during collection so they could fill it in - hands literally dhaking when i was wrotng out the additional oage form lol

How to handle stress, especially when faces with a difficult question
Jot down all you can remember about the Character/Theme in the question on a loose piece of paper/the question paper. This allows you to release a lot of information and therefore stress from your brain. Once you’ve done this, link each piece of info chronologically and use this as ur plan

Bio commied higher was calm for the most part except for a question about flocose and a 5 marker magnification question lol. I don't think anyone got more than 2 marks, I just wrote the formula to gain a mark and my answer was 1200 MAG, and glucose I wrote it was healthy bc I said not to refer to pricing.
I got 1200 it was 800😓😓😓 ugh I got it wrong and I hated that paper it was so bad
rest of the paper was calm but for the magnification question i messed it up

OCR biology was kinda different for triple compared to previous years. There was nothing on graphs at all and looking at data from them and analysing it nor did we have to draw any nor was there anything on guard cells like previous years. Multiple choice was definitely easier but i messed up a 2 marker on auxins by misunderstanding the question 😅😅. Another great video however

hey man thanks for the tips- just a quick question out of interest so i know how effective this is, what grade did you get in your english literature gcse, its alright if you dont get round to responding today, as obviously the exam is tomorrow, but if you got grade 6+, i will 100% be using this revision method
i got a grade 9 in all my subjects :)
although english lit was a predicted exam for me as we did it in year 10 - but we still had to do practice papers that our grades were based on, which i got 9s in too
If I use a quote from a section of the book/play, would I need to refer specifically where it is taken from, e.g. Act 1 scene 4, or can I be more general, e.g. for Macbeth: Lady Macbeth's soliloquy?
I don’t think u need to be that specific.. as long as u give a very general outline of where the quote is from

bio was pretty good aqa triple, there were 4 6 markers which was crazty and two practicals. There was a question on some guy with cardiac arrest and why the doctor gave him chest compressions idk but overall was peretty easy. also do you think i can learn 80 quotes tmrw

its a 19th centruy novel and SHakespeare so for me i do aqa and it is mabeth and ACC so 2 questions for paper 1...Paper 2 is poetry unseen poetry and modern day text for me it is aic
i did igcse edexcel biology and all the questions were literally 5 marks there was like 4 graph questions ;-; and 90% on plants, 5% geography global warming and 5% on inheritance LOLL

Henry, if you’re curious, here’s a bit more info about what was in Bio Paper 1:
- Firstly, the most high mark questions I’ve seen to this point, even after doing an addition 3 practice papers for paper 1. There were 4 6 markers, 2 5s, and a four - With one of the 5s and a 6 being very specific and tricky. The 6 was about why a person with Cystic Fibrosis will find it hard to put on weight (with very little help given in the Q. Also, this was question 1, so I bet a lot of people got worried straight away haha!), and the 5 being about how cells are adapted for cell sap exchange between them and the Phloem tubes.
- It should be noted the 6 mark maths question (and only maths question) was very simple, with very few steps, for the 6 marks we were given!
- Overall I suspect AQA are trying to reduce further the percentage of people getting grade 8s and 9s, even from last year.

im kinda scared because i thought it went quite beautifully but now that I think of it, the questions weren't very obvious and so I wonder if I oversimplified my answers and the fact that people found it quite easy scares me cause I thought they wouldn't

I'm aware this question was for him but what I'd probably do is get to know each poem on AT LEAST surface level - the context, and the writer's intentions are very important imo! (Structure and form can also give noteworthy, top band analysis; obviously don't feel pressured to get 8-9 if that's not what you're going for) And at least two important quotations that are quite versatile in each, though I think I would avoid MLD since it came up in the 2023 exam, and it's quite unlikely it'll come up twice since they've only ever done one repeat (Bayonet Charge) and that wasn't done in a consecutive year. It would also be noteworthy to look at which you're least confident in and start there. It's best to start revising at least 2-3 poems a day since the exam is on the 20th. Good luck though!!

get a piece of paper and write out the quotes (and analysis) then flip it over and try to rewrite them from memory, keep repeating this until you can write them out perfectly from memory - hope this helps x

its best to know 3 important quotes for the important characters cuz its likely a character like mercutio in romeo and juliet would come up
