I have a 7 month year old pug that will be within 2 feet of me at all times. When I sleep it goes under my blanket and sleeps in between my legs the whole night. The moment I get up it follows me, and will cry if I go into another room without her. Seperatiom anxiety is really annoying

I can’t go out of the door she outruns me and gets there first it’s really hard to leave . I used to give her some food to keep her distracted so I can sneak out but now she knows that if she’ll go to the food I will leave and doesn’t go . She makes me feel awful I don want her to feel like that …

My Boxer took the dead bolt off the door , then went to bathroom and locked herself in there, and tried to scratch her way out.. she’s an alert dog so she was trying to find me.. my already high Anxiety is over the top if I have to leave her

I wish this worked for my stubborn Boston terrier she is so strong willed, won't let me out of her sight and she even fights sleeping to the point of being delirious...its getting ridiculous
Horrible advice. Train them to not worry about it. Just leave. You're not asking your dog for permission to let you leave your own house. They should be ok with it. And if they aren't, the owner is feeding this energy to the dog. Anxiety & mental health trends should not be encouraged nor entertained.

It doesn't even take leaving the house. If I'm more than a foot or two away from my dog he has a complete meltdown.

It is different for everybody. For me their separation anxiety makes me anxious.

if I was the dog Id be freaked out if shes just gone so I probably would try even more to have some quality time with her and always watch her...

I’m sure this is great stuff for most dogs. I need 2 hours a day for months to have any chance with my Collie
My mom got me a puppy and he has such bad separation anxiety. I have to be 100% in his line of view or else he'll whine. Hopefully this will help!

This doesn't work. Been trying and my dog is smart and acts normally till they know my car has left
