Today I paid a visit to a construction site, and on the construction site they are building a new Amazon Depot.
When I got there the security guard was quite present and we had a nice chat, then the site manager turned up, not quite so nice lol.

The irony of threatening to knock down your drone when Amazon are investing in drone delivery systems. I'm sure they wouldn't like it if people started knocking their drones down.

It is also an offence to fly a drone without a license over private land and especially below 50m.
Now that’s not a bad idea. We should all place our orders. Then arrange to get their drones knocked clean out of the air. Remember any of your neighbours can do it. And it doesn’t have to be you personally.

Most big construction site have a social media ban on them these days. Usually in case a breach of health and safety is accidentally filmed and posted, opening them up to critism.
Can't do anything if you're filming from public land.
With clean boots, hi-viz, hard hat... he must be one of the bosses. Having clean PPE, shows he doesn't get his hands dirty...or come into contact with the dirty side of construction...!
It's a shame Amazon don't pay Thier taxes as quickly as getting a ambargo
I like when the guy said he doesn't give your permission to publish his image you just say OK and keep filming, instead of saying you don't need his permission and starting an argument instead of getting that whole conversation.

Its been law for several years that nothing dirty is to leave site and this is the reason they clean the site with water bowsers and have wheel washes for lorries before they leave site.

You are correct, a media embargo is an agreement (contract) between a group/person and certain press officers, the press officers don't leak a story and as a result at the right time are given details that make their story better. If you are not one of their press officers you have no contract with them and if anything the guy shouldn't have even told you that a media embargo was in place because now you know there's a story and all the press officers will be aware that they were beaten to the punch by them telling uncontracted people about the embargo.
This also means there's a much bigger story behind the site so it could be a UK first.
Also as you know you don't need consent to film people from public.

PJ @ 21.32 in the video they were laying out the solar panels on the roof, and looked like all the fixings on the roof were for solar.. If you want to see another it is at JNt 30 of the M62 just down the road from the Jnt45 one.

A controversy took place in Texas when a Man shot a drone down from over his property. It was fairly early in the drone days,and the Man's Wife and teenaged Daughter were by the pool sunbathing. The Judge stated that since the law was not clear,he'd work it out by having the drone paid for and the flyer of the drone promise to not fly his new one over occupied areas until the law was settled. Now,the regs are about the same here as the UK.

DJ audits would like the illegal number plate you caught, on the grey audi :) N600DNG with a yellow screw on the 6 to make it a G. I'm guessing it belongs to " Neil Gooding, site manager at winvic". If they want to pull you up on the legalities of videoing around their site, someone should say something about using illegal altered numberplates.

There is no media embargo and they cannot stop anyone filming and their contractual conditions only apply to their emplooyees and contractors and not the general public, he refuses to give his name and tries giving orders, remember that every village has an idiot and you found theirs, ironically you passed lots of signs stating CCTV so they can film tou but you can't film them.
I was thinking the same thing. Amazon has no jurisdiction over the law, i.e., they cannot force parliament to make it unlawful to film the site. Even whilst onsite, all they can do is ask a person to leave.
Kinda funny about the drone thing seeming Amazon sell them by the bucket load.
Amazon appear not to want you to film with a drone - they didn't have the same aversion to drones when they sold me mine for £550 !!!!!! The irony was that the first one they sent me had been used and they sold it to me as new. They did replace it when I pointed that out however they never replied to my letter of complaint about them selling second hand as new.

P J just a little fact about construction ie; carbon produced during the making of any cement (Lime based) products for every ton of cement manufactured they will be a ton harmful carbon produced and let into the environment, even if they filter it out at source to stop it entering the atmosphere where do they put it for safety Inthe ground where it will leach into the water systems or even disturbed and released into the atmosphere there's no stopping it...
PS , That's not including the machinery that it takes to move it and use to build with it

PJ, You mentioned solar panels and near the end of the flight. At 21:31. I noticed solar panels being fitted and most of the roof has what appears to be mounting brackets for hundreds more. I think you need a bigger screen or something, but don't stop filming and the drone shots are great. Maybe when uploading you can voice over a bit. Thanks

Did you know that the big white ball on the sewage site is full of I think methane (?) which they use as a power source?

Sadly, Amazon is massively killing the high street, but we all use it, so we’re all to blame really, but then there are competitors about, saying that they’ll never be as big as Amazon, they’ve got 3 large sites down by Avonmouth in Bristol as well.

The DJI Mini 2 technically has a range of around 12km. However, visual line of sight (VLOS) must be maintained at all times, and from what I understand that is only up to about 500m before it cannot be seen by someone with good eyesight!

Typical of a lot of construction sites and projects. They start multiple aspects of the plan with hole here and roads there but end up with a handful of people working towards completing anything much. They ain't ever going to get finished unless they put labour on site to get on with it. The Covid sites are there to make money for fat cats in the excessive equipment hire at exorbitant, over-inflated prices and as can be clearly seen the whole size of the operation and the staffing levels are well over the top for the demand. Disgusting waste of tax-payers money. Stay safe PJ, love your work.

The drone shows the workers fitting the solar panels @21:30, and looking at the way the roof is set up its looks like its going to had loads of solar panels fitted.
