I make coquito but I never do tht boiled mix or those strong spices,tht was alot of cloves and star aniz wow or egg. To sweet no good, you need a good coconut taste and balance of ingredients. Am sure yours is good cause the 151 is good and should smooth out the bitterness for the glove and aniz. How much water do you add to the pot and for how long do you boil the spices ? Nice video
I add 2 cups of water to the pot and about 10 min boil till it looks medium dark in color and only use 1 cup of it , thanks for watching 😊

Except for the Don Q 151, this is pretty much how I make it. Also I was taught to use anise seeds not star anise but if it works!

She doubled up the recipe,,So instead of one of each X 2,,,the eggs is optional. I do not use eggs.
