OH YES, in 2012, it must have been VERY hard to hear this existential truth for a lot of people. Not as much now, 9 years later, but still.. this cuts right to the core of the nature of existence, and thus seem to "threaten" the ego/personhood, the false separate self.

This is what the ancient Egyptians believed you should look into there foundational beliefs in numerology!!! Ancient kemet set the tone for the Greeks and airman’s and more importantly us to this day. Look up the root of the original roots to words like Horizon (Horus Rising) or animology. Very good stuff! We are ALL God!

I have been following Shunyamurti for 2 years now. It is wonderful to return to this teaching after all this time. This is such a warm teaching so full of love. And so helpful to be able to laugh at the ego as well as see the comedic paradoxical structure of conciousnous and the crazy path of trying to liberate ourselves from this illusion. I am so grateful for these teachings. Shunyamurti's bredth of understanding is unlike any other teacher living today. If this is your first encounter with these teachings I recomend the Sat Yoga channel - it is an undiscovered treasure trove of wisdom!

I awoke one morning feeling so happy...don't know where I was while sleeping? But the words and realization " "there is nothing to do nowhere else to search" were CLEAR... I don't have to do anything more was such a relieving moment of joy and happiness. 🙂 of course I got out of bed and returned to personhood and was gone....but that feeling of knowing and joy/love/relief was AWESOME!! 🤗those more and more often moments of clarity are undescribable!!! 💟🙏

It is the PERSON, the IDEA of ourselves that doesn't exist. It is a concept, thoughts - believed in. As we believe, so we (seem) to manifest. It informs our experiencing.

Do you know A real no-ego guy can't be burned by fire.
They can fly. And they don't get drown by water.
And they are powerful than god. Because the no-ego guy don't born to exist.
In ancient myth I think there exist something like some guy is son of god.
Or similar thing exist in some religions. That's proven that god still born. Usually the guy which is borned they finally die. The no-ego guy is beyond the birth & death. Not because these thing don't exist. It's because they know that it really is.
You describe my near death experience- the ego is really the flesh - to really experience this leave your body - but since my near death experience I have rare episodes of leaving my ego or body - but yet like homeostasis within the body we must still live within the matrix while understanding this illusion

What separates things in nature is space. What if there was no space but it was all full of infinitely dense matter? What could fit inside that? What would there "be".
Existence is a vibration of -1/+1

But "something is a wave or vibration and that's what gives the illusion that there is anything at all but not nothing or everything

Well, sitting around and giving talks about how we don't exist doesn't seem to be the most fulfilling way to spend my human experience. It seems he has a very strong self-image as an "enlightened guru." He's actually suffering deep down and taking comfort in hiding behind this game of not existing.
If you are empty, you won't feel love for those who's lives are improved with the love they receive. Kids deserve to experience love. Those who grow up without it, suffer unbearably.
I rather have an empty mind than have my head full of negative thoughts..
My mind is like an cloudless sky but I still have great love and compassion in my heart.

This guy has a great vocabulary and strikes me as a good speaker. However he is selling his own concept. You can learn to quite the mind. Thought is Illusion, however thought is needed. He has some pretty cosmic concepts BUT his very concepts are only real if you BELIEVE them. Not everyone is dead on. Be careful what you Believe. The mind and thought's are very strong and create experience.

However, if you follow Shunyamurti's teachings you will find him like a wet bar of soap, he contradicts his own concepts, renders his teachings essential yet meaningless, speaks in both complexity and simplicity.. it is not meant to make sense. If you really spend time with Shunyamurti you will discover that his words are meant to confuse just as much as to clarify or teach, and it is in the moments of silence that he truly transmits what he is pointing to. i bet you Shunya himself would watch this video and have a good laugh at it.
And since you speak of belief, there's some interesting food for thought in Sat Yoga's latest QA upload - "Free from Beliefs" that seem to walk alongside your arguments. i must say i enjoyed it, perhaps you will too.

@@jackd9300 It wasn’t so much the visualization aspect that hit me so hard (was the typical “being enveloped in a white light”) it was the almost instantaneous realization about Idealism (the philosophical concept) being the case for “reality”. I had somewhat understood it intellectually - but now I was aware of it empirically. This was so profound that I fell to the floor in cosmic laughter and complete existential awe. I also (to a lesser extent) became aware of the illusion of time. Return trips have only strengthened these cosmic epiphanies….
Consciousness/Intelligence/Awareness has levels - the levels that exist that we are not aware of are absolutely mind blowing.
The Neverending Story takes a human through many stages including the Swamp of Sadness (dark night of the soul), the two Oracles (balance of mind), and dominating the ego with spirit. When the ‘nothing’ came, the boy reading the story realized when he gave up all attachments to his reality, he could then start over with a grain of sand. With the grain of sand, he could create his reality anew all over again...going from 1 to 0 and back to 1. Zero is the nothing. But when we give up trying to hold onto this life, we come to realize we created everything therefore, we have power over it. Just like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, just like Labyrinth, just like Alice in Wonderland. And it’s boooorirrring when I realize I’m the only one & I lay around like a cat teasing a mouse in my mind...bc I have nothing better to do

Wow, the speaker has obviously done some work on himself, but he is overlooking the most important aspect, we do the things we do because that is what we are supposed to be doing, it doesn't matter that everything is illusory, we still have to chop the wood so to speak.

THis is what I like about the ancient non-dual philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism... it does not deny the Mind's "Experience" of DOership ... but it does address that the *Ultimate* Reality... that we ( to say our True SELF) are NOT the "DOer".
From the limited perspective of a dream it does SEEM as though we travel to London and have tea with the Queen... while actually our "Head" never leaves our pillow. Likewise .. this so called "Physical" world SEEMS so real .. to the MIND, and yet all apparent ACTIONS take place in the non-local / non- physical Mind..
From the highest perspective.. there is no "OUT THERE" out there. The Mind is the creative tool of "God" ... our own Higher SELF / Pure Consciousness .. THAT One true Constant which both supports and permeates ALL Experiential realities of the Mind.
To KNOW Thy SELF is to Realize that "We", our True SELF .. are the ONLY ONE "Here" .. and always have been. One = One and can never actually become TWO.... but can only create the experience of TWO and Otherness via the Mind.
This is a WISE WISE man 🙏

Shunyamurti: Ego death is more than a metaphor. It is the sine qua non of every spiritual path. It is not a sufficient substitute to use "death, life" because that does not clarify that it is not a matter of physical death, but of recognizing the delusional nature of all mental constructs, including the I-thought, and transcending them, and abiding in the inner silence of pure awareness that is our true nature. You ask who does that, who lives without ego. The answer is: every liberated being.

I do exist. When you say you don't exist, then to whom are you saying that? The self is the awareness. Death is oblivion. Life is a gift from the eternally self-existent great Spirit Who gives life to every living creature. Some will live forever, and many will not.

Shunyamurti's response: In our depths, yes, we are always at peace...but at the surface of the ocean of consciousness, there are waves, and sometimes storms. These are caused by the ego, which itself is just a bubble of foam carried on a temporary wave in the ocean...
You said it "caused by the ego" So it's proven that you think ego is exist.
Because The no-exist thing never have any effect. Even fake effect.
What you talking is self contradiction.
No and you are not peace because you are getting old. Your thought of old is still exist. Because your ego still exist.
You are acting/doing and hurting your body how can you say you always at peace.
If you say ego is temporary wave and such wave have effect. You already accept the ego's existance. Whatever it called. It's is an existence. The me or ego have direct connection with existance.
People never say Oh!! I'm not exist so it called I. People think this is I(the body or mind of soul ...etc) And such thing is an existance. People never find something that nonexistance and think that is me.
Or even if you say the temp-wave is not ego. The ocean it self without many small wave. The big ocean it self is real me. Then ego still existance.
If you say ocean is totally not an existance because it's nothing. Then anything is nothing. Because there don't have real or not-real think. They both not exist.
If you say ocean is not me but an exist. Then anything don't have means anymore. And you should not get old or have any problem. Because no-me so people should not suffer from anything.
Whatever you say it's just play words. True love can't be just said by words.

You still caring your ego because you are acting ego thing. So you will die.
In the context of the fake reality there is ego, but it's not real, as anything. My consciousness unplugged for a split second, right before attempting suicide. All I felt is this all loving/accepting/having, timeless blip, you cant reason about it. You have to experience to "understand" but really you can only feel it. Sat yoga saved "my life". Now the illusion makes a meditation app, in honour of this knowledge. If I dont encounter the videos, I'm sure, I would of finish myself. But how could I not encounter, if its already been calculated! It's hard to integrate back to society, after a profound experience like this. It's like everything already happened. It's done. As it was always. Im not even playing the game, since all my decisions been made before. I saw massacres, burning childs, and God was happy. There was the Mario theme song, playing under it.

I didn't find this a very useful session, but I'm a huge fan. It's from 9 years ago, Shunyanurti has matured since (for me). The message is true, re subsuming/ transcending/ killing the ego delusion, which can never be satisfied demanding its particularity, maintaining duality not oneness, but the delivery during that past 2 years speaks to me more. Just saying. Cheers!

dont need to feel.depressed, the guy is selling his own beliefs. his own I believes this. trust me. he also believes reality is a simulation he is actually saying that in HIS view you dont exist as a real entity, but this isn't true. its is HIS OWN faulty perception, of his own I.

I don't get this. What is the fun being emptiness and nothingness. No existence at all. You are like bones in the grave. Nothing nothing and nothing. Better would be if you feel at least love in that emptiness. but no. You don't exist. I wan't to fly between galaxies and create happy illusions. Not like this earth.
You are nothingness, but you are also everything. Don't mistaken nothingness for not being conscious and aware.
Also there is nothing wrong with what you want to do, you can go do it the choice is yours.
You have eternity to break all illusions and go the path of union.
It's a very subtle phenomenon, your reality is more or less the same as any other man or woman, but it's not ultimate reality, we can't see this other reality because our minds are to clogged up with so much falsehood and delusion, listen to other teachers, this one isn't very good, but to realise emptyness is a complete release from all pain and suffering, it's called Nirvana
