nobody measured the domisticated python in Bohol Philippines.. its always measured by the owner that when the snake died it was 27ft and almost 300 kg. but it is not considered official because it wasnt measured by any official body. but the bones of the snake is being preserved at the haouse of the owner and can be measured at anytime to be acknowledged to be one of the largest snake in captivity.

Why would anyone want a snake big enough to eat them is beyond me.
Let me answer that as I have an anaconda. Considering there has never been a pet anaconda that has ever killed its owner and not even one single documented case of an anaconda eating a human being, are statistically safer with an anaconda than a dog. They are beautiful creatures and while I completely respect people who choose not to keep them, they are amazing animals. Without large constrictors the ecosystem would fall. They are one of the most important animals on the planet. Now to put this into perspective I am just under six feet tall and I weigh 210 pounds. I have very broad shoulders, my buddy has an 18 foot anaconda which is just about as big as they get. The biggest one ever officially documented was around 21 ft. Do you know how big the prey items are that he feeds his 18-foot snakes? 40 lb. The biggest pig he has ever fed his snake was 50 lb. I am literally four times bigger than that. And once the snake gets to a certain size I absolutely will not handle it unless I have someone else around because it's just safe to have someone there in case something does happen. But that doesn't mean something will happen. I am on his Facebook group with 10,000 people that all own anacondas and while some of them will bite, none of them have ever been killed none of them have ever been attacked and every single bite was out of Defense and not an attempt to feed.

There have been several Anacondas much larger than anything mentioned. Look up Arthur C. Clark's Mysterious World: Giant Snakes. I saw an old picture of one from the 50s that was a meter in diameter, as was it's head, with a cow and s horse in it's stomach. 131 feet long, weighing 10,000 lbs! There were several Anacondas over 100 feet, one with incredible quickness and agility, almost swamping their large boat. All taken out by the Brazilian Army gunfire due to panic among the local natives.

Bee Kendricks Ive read discussions around that snake being 200ft long and it would basically be impossible for it to move as it would be too heavy, the general consensus was that it was 50ft maximum in length, still enormous.

There is no documented case of an anaconda exceeding about 18~20 feet in length. But, considering the anaconda is a fairly heavy bodied snake, even an 18 footer would be massive.

then it's bogus. The snake in the video is nowhere near 33 feet, the lens is just very close up on it but you can tell by the chains and the trailer it's on that it is no 30-footer. All the photos of it are forced perspective, and one of them is not even of an anaconda.

TITANBOA, perhaps bones were found in S. America by fossil hunters but archaeologists from the University of Michigan (as the picture shows), found a python vertebrae 3 or 4 Xs bigger than the present day python. This was only a few years back. The guys built a model of scale. A mining pit was left to rest for a few weeks and the archaeologists asked if they could look thru the multi layers of earth beckoning them.
