Thank you, I had to dust these off. I don't exactly remember when I did these. I know that I experimented with what held the outer shell together, it has held up.

G'day Ed, well, what a coincidence. Last year I got the 'Area 51' kit from an old hobby shop that was closing down.
I have opened the box but it is still unbuilt and in mint condition with the same decals that you have applied to your model. On the box cover there is text and a small photograph that mentions Bob Lazar who was 'introduced' to the world by Las Vegas journalist, George Knapp, in 1989. So, I'm guessing the Testors kit comes from about a year or so after that. Inside the box, with a vague 'instruction sheet' of sorts, is a colour pamphlet which, again mentions Bob Lazar and gives some details about his claims of working on the 'Sports' model saucer at S4, (some say S2) which is just South East of the main Area 51 complex.
I have not seen another one of these kits until just now, on your video!
I've tried to find out more details about this kit but I've been unsuccessful to date. I'm guessing it was a limited run and that they are somewhat rare these days.
I'm so glad that you made this video as I had no real clue how to put this together. It is so plain and lacking in surface and interior details that I thought it might be missing some parts. But now I've seen your model assembled I realise that this is the way Testors wanted it to look like.
In the box there are three tiny 'bug-eyed' aliens, most people call them 'Greys'. Three little chairs and the three consoles with the 'generator' or whatever in the centre. There are the three 'gravity wave directors' below the main deck, just like in your model.
The kit is in my stash and I don't think I'll build it until I can find out more about it. I'll certainly be keeping the box if I do build it.
I would really appreciate it if you, Ed, or anyone else can tell me more about this really strange kit.

Hello from Texas, Bill. You have the same kit as I do. I still have that booklet. I took down a video where I flipped through it, and reported what I had heard from a trusted source. It seems that Mr. Lazar is still big here in the UFO community. I took my video down for all the trolls that I was getting. See it seems that the guy was involved in a plagiarism suit and lost. These UFOs were in a comic book that was short lived in the former Soviet Union. My source has passed away from Covid and I can no longer verify any information on the subject.
I just know that he has a lot of supporters that do not know about the settlement or why he dropped out of sight suddenly, only to be revived on the fringe by his ardent supporters.
Yes, the kit has little detail. I sealed the hull with Future floor polish, (Now Pledge). The hull was an experiment on my part. I just think the kit is interesting and different. I had to share this build with the world, even without the commentary. I am so glad this video helped you to see what little detail there is to see in this interesting kit. I understand Round 2 has reissued the kit without the booklet.
