Gutted he had to pull out of strictly come dancing due to health issues. He was the only one I knew on it anyway. He was fantastic in this dance routine amazing.

On one hand.... that dude was out there trying to earn money for charity.
On the other... this was his one time to show his nation that he could.... dance. He could have just smiled and clapped and gotten a laugh. But he took it to another level.

That's the best thing I've watched since... *crickets* Nothing comes to mind. My cheeks are still sore from grinning so much and I'm wiping tears of laughter off of my face. Robert Webb, I'm completely smitten now. (Weird that seeing him in a leotard dancing to Flashdance was the moment I realised I wanted to wreck his marriage - not Peep Show, Bruiser, Mitchell & Webb Situation.) No - that friends was sheer brilliance. The intro, the DANCE, how Robert stayed in character for the judging. ADORE!

I'm equal parts disturbed and impressed.
this is far better than anything that was shown that year or this year.
what made this brilliant was that there wasn't a huge production team and squad of backing dancers, this was just robert webb.
it gave the impression that he did it all himself, and practiced it in his room at night, and that's what made it good, his comittal, not just to a joke, but to the dance.

It's a shit movie and I already mentioned elsewhere but Beel did none of the dancing. The real dancer was uncredited in the movie. Beel never worked in film again

Contrary to what some claim dancers and non-dancers can pair up quite nicely, and I've always seen David Mitchell's relationship with both Robert Webb and Victoria Coren-Mitchell as prove of that. :) I'm also pretty sure that Charlie's wife is a dancer too.
Coincidentally, the first time I saw this Comic Relief clip of Webb, was on that episode of BFQ, and Jonathan Ross even makes a comment about Robert being the "dancing half of Mitchell and Webb," because he spends most of the episode giving David grief for his absolute refusal to dance.
Much the way Russell Howard refused to give everyone a "gun show" in the 2012 BFQ, despite pressure from both James Cordon AND Jonathan Ross - who was his teammate in that episode - to do so.
As badly as I want David to dance, I don't think he'd ever unbutton himself to THAT degree, though if you ever find the old Kino Library archival footage of Mitchell and Webb doing a cross-dressing thing for a musical in the mid '90s, you'll see an ever so slight amount of dancing from Mitchell. Oh, and he is very, VERY made up too.
