- There’s no denying that pickup trucks have become vehicles of leisure for many people. But there are still plenty of folks who buy big trucks because they need to do things that only big trucks can do. And the new Super Duty from Ford can do those big-truck things better than ever.

I can’t believe after all these years John Davis is still the host of the reviews
When I was a kid in the 80s these acceleration numbers were sports car worthy SHEESH
When were you a kid, in the mid-70s? Sports cars from the mid-late 80s would stomp this boat into the ground in performance lol
@@DrBeef216 the 80s and unless we are talking high end super cars most daily sports cars 0-60 was averaging in the 6s and 7 second range and 14-16 second quarter miles.

My eyes and heart loves this truck but my credit score sure as hell doesn’t 😂
That’s actually fast!
My uncle just bought a gardening spec F-250. $70k. Ridiculous.
bidenomics kicking in
@@artvandelay837 keep telling yourself that. It really helps.
70 grand for a janitorial spec F250, Jesus Christ Bidenflation is real I tell you what
@@artvandelay837 what economic policies drove up the price of Ford F-series trucks?

Ah, a truck where you need to take a shower at the work site before coming home
I love the look of a lifted Super Duty, but it's more of a truck than I need, and the price tag is eye watering.
As I look at the video, I am kinda on the fence with the front end. Some of Ford's grill iterations made me scratch my head, but after talking with an engineer online, it was about cost savings, at least on the F150. It still reminds me of a GM design years ago. Beyond that, it's capable, powerful, and has a nice interior. 1200 pounds of max torque. 😮
Lucky for ford ,workers who use these for their jobs don’t give a single F about how they look. But the week end warrior’s might not buy them. Actually they might, as cosplaying as a blue collar construction type is big in pick ups just listen to how the gravelly voiced guy talks on those truck commercials.
Paid $58.9k OTD ( final MSRP $63.5k) for my custom order 2022 F250 supercab Lariat. Price of these Big Boy have gone up even higher now. That one in the test drive is most likely close to $100k😮😅
Ah yes. The ford f350 owners edition. No one is buying those but company owners and office people that tow once a year. I think a special license should be needed for them. Some people think they are semi truck drivers now. They start at 60k. What a joke.
No MSRP as tested? I’m guessing at least $100k if not more for that one
Ill keeo my V10 ford Excursion
15.9 ghat damn what a rig!
When did they stop doing the brake and slalom tests?
An HD diesel as fast as many '90s sports coupes.. in the 1/2 😊
When it comes to heavy-duty pickup trucks, I think “dually”. Hey, by the way, what happened to the F550?
All I got for my 16 part time jobs that don’t pay much is a little neon green toy 🧸
Under a Victoria secret 🤐 commener knowne Ande knowne used make do engineering , tin island 🏝️ food 🥘 can , of far away island 🏝️
Yes i would buy a ford if i were to buy a brand new truck. But no i will never get rid of my paid off 98 ram diesel with 460k mi.
I have a 2004 Dodge 2500 5.9K with 245k miles. Keeping this for as long as I can.
Guys, you could have spooled it up at launch. Geez!
0:58 don't they mean 5th gen?
“Garden spec” must be different from “Base”, since “Base” starts at ~$45K
🔥🔥🔥
Very nice this truck
What a beast
Mucho torque
7 seconds to 60... whether you're towing a house or not.
1200 torques, for when you need to pull an A380, with the brakes set
Almost as nice as my 63 F100 stepside with a 6 cyl 3 on a tree and manual choke.
You park it next to your John Wayne Commemorative VHS collection 😅
Cant it rusted quicker than a 70' s Toyota truck made with post war Hiroshima steel
It might be a 3/4 ton truck but it needs to be 3/4 of the current price.
They tested a 1 ton
@@moejr1974 Okay I was thinking F250, thanks for the clarification.
6.8 gas V8? What happened to the 7.3 gas Godzilla motor?
It said it was still available
I dunno maybe watch the video?
they said its still available and has 20 more lb ft of tq now from new intake...in the video.
Zazur ford f350
3:34 I love hearing Americans correctly pronounce "route".
That platnum is more that 61K!
Bro you'll never find a platinum for less than 85.... market adjustments are done at the dealership
pickup trucks used to be a vehicle that the everyday average Joe could afford. Now it's like buying an expensive luxury vehicle.
@Snake-ms7sj trucks range between 20k to 100k anyone can buy one. Just depends on how deep your pockets are and also the point of base vs luxury. Duhhh
*Platinum, not Platnum
@ohguy1991 I'm sorry are we in English class. 🤣🤣🤣
F-Series: The LAST vehicle with a whip antenna?
Do you know why they still have a whip antenna?
GM still install whip antennas.
Why does this car have such a low front bumper?
Could be some kind of safety regulation so you don't run over people or little cars.
The bumper or air dam? The latter is for fuel efficiency.
@@CalvinHikes I understand. But in this case, protection should also be on the sides and behind. )))
@@AngryManSki Does the air flow under the bottom of the car create a lot of resistance to movement?
The new grill is really ugly. I like big blocky super duties

2024 Super Duty
Only 1 year late😂
The older vehicles were the head daytime running lights they would shut off when you turn on the headlights the new vehicles keep their daytime running lights on which blinds people as a drive thanks ford
Reporting For Duty
This is LITERALY the LONGEST LASTING Vehicle you can buy! It can go OVER 1 MILLION MILES!
They don't have those anymore. You'll be digging into this one for major engine repairs way before 100k miles, I'm afraid.
@@westhavenor9513 You are so WRONG! It don't matter I am going to probable buy a Ram.
First
Unfortunately, Ford drivetrains have so many engineering faults now that you'll probably have to have the engine out sooner rather than later, which requires cab removal.
It's disgusting how tall the front ends of these trucks are today. The DOT needs to ban this stupidity. These are being used as PASSENGER VEHICLES.
cry about it. Just picked up an F450 Platinum as a family car.
