UPDATE:
1) I've been saying it wrong this whole time. It's actually PTFE, not PFTE.
2) PTFE/Teflon is actually very stable and safe!
It's even less toxic than, say, the microplastics we ingest daily. Its toxicity only arises when it's broken down; this only occurring at high temperatures (generally above 500 degrees fahrenheit) and during some sliding conditions.

"PFPE and PTFE are the most common fluorinated lubricants, and are generally regarded as some of the safest lubricants. They are used in the aerospace industry for their remarkable stability, but this stability comes at a cost. When broken down, fluorine can bond with other atoms and molecules to create particularly harmful substances. While PFPE and PTFE are stable against UV and oxygen, under tribological forces, the polymer chains can sever. PFPE, in particular, has been shown to develop a lewis acid (with iron) under very extreme tribological conditions, according to NASA. I'm not aware of any studies showing reactions under ambient tribological conditions, but polymer liquids and solids can still undergo chain scission under very mundane circumstances. This can include within a plastic joint. I'm aware that, while repeatedly and vigorously moving a POM part on another POM part back and forth, with PTFE powder coating it, that at some point it stick slips and eats away at the plastic. This at a significantly higher rate than unlubricated POM on POM parts. I don't know what is being generated in these conditions, but it appears to be short lived, and I don't believe this would happen under normal use."

What an incredible video, I'm always so impressed with your pacing and the consistently quality jokes that had me laughing the entire time. Not only that, but the actual builds of these Mata revamps are amazing! They honor the original aesthetics and scale almost 1:1, and the poses you can get them in are so expressive and dynamic. They seem so sturdy too, which is generally my biggest issue with a lot of Mata revamps. Fantastic work as always Charlie!

It's like asking Coca-Cola why there is no Cola anymore "Sadly production of the Coca-Cola beverage has stopped" - "My guy, YOU'RE the production"
Even If the molds are destroyed, Lego can make new ones with improvements to reduce parts breaking.
"But making a new mold costs a lot of money!" - Lego isn't a small company, and they're already cutting many corners, especially with the display sets.
Lego could incrementally add the molds to pick a brick and set a high selling price to get the money back for the mold.
I don't know how it looks like with the copyright, but I hope independent companies legally take a stab at making bionicle parts.

Lego does actually make red studpins now, they're listed separately as they have added friction. The frictionless ones have also appeared in white.
Also no Roodaka's species does not have dimorphism, the one guy they made green in the comic isn't even really green

Legends of Metru Mui is definitely my favorite movie.
I think I had the most fun with the Toa Inika and my favorite Toa designs has to be hands down the G2 CCBS Toa.

@@mootroidXproductions She did! Krahka and Tahtorak are sucked into the field of shadows whilst fighting the Zivon, but emerge on Voya-Nui a thousand years later, after Brutaka opens a dimensional gateway with the intention of sending Axonn to that accursed place
He fails, but after the two combatants are gone, and the portal remains, Tahtorak and Krahka emerge from it. Then they fight Kardas for a bit.
Eventually she makes her way back to her old den in Metru-Nui, and she cameos in Takanuva's Blog during the Reign of Shadows portion of the serial

random notes I think of as I watch because my impulse to nitpick is too strong I should probably add timestamps but I'm lazy
-The axle-mixel joint connector actually exists in dark tan (albeit only in one H^rry P^tter set, but you can get them from pick a brick. Also they came out in black in a technic set from 30 years ago.) LEGO is generally more eager to recolor the mixel/towballs, it's just the sockets that they're stingy about.
-While I do like them aesthetically as well I'm pretty sure the pins on pohatu's legs are just there to facilitate the combiner model
-The brown parts didn't fade with age, LEGO actually replaced their main brown color entirely at some point in the 2000s.
-you mixed old and new greys on onua's legs and for that I'm going to have to steal your kneecaps
-oh also all vortixx look the same as roodaka regardless of gender

I also very appreciate that the eagle sound (and the ass) is so loud that it actually simulates my hearing returning from a flashbang by ramping the audio back up to full volume after a few seconds.
Seriously though, this is a wonderful video. I love your editing style and getting a 45 minute video is a treat that I will not take for granted.
ok i talked to my chemistry buddy and it’s only toxic if it is heated to like 500f and otherwise it is very stable.
@@mootroidXproductions thank goodness. Someone came into my hardware store job a few years ago asking what type of sandpaper they would need to sand the Teflon out of their cooking pan. I landed on “don’t do that” because I had it in my mind that particlizing Teflon would put it in the guys lungs and that would be Bad.
Also need to heap on praise for the continued mindfulness of the current climate in the real world and how fiction reflects on those realities instead of hides from them, and also for what I would consider peak filmmaking in the last 40 seconds of the video. The timing, the perfect cuts between you and a ghost, the cliffhanger ending, the knowledge you didn’t wear pants to the door, I tried to do stuff like that all four years of film school and didn’t even come close.

Since you use mega parts, let me mention you can buy parts from Mattel through their customer support service, the form has an option for “missing pieces” where you can just say it’s a set that included that part and buy the piece as a replacement

I hope they bring back mask collecting in G3 but they do it in a way that also brings back matoran, where you get one of 6 matoran (no mask, one of each element) and 2 masks, one of which can go to the matoran or both can go to your mask collection

Shows some great building techniques and tricks but it doesn't end up being boring at any point in spite of its length because it is frequently spiced up with humourous bits (also known as jokes idk why i wrote such a long paragraph just to say "haha it funny").
