    Same experience. I Can only use NXTR it in the winter in Northern MN. Wagtail blue fits my 2.0 and 3.0 channels without much movement, and hasn't been too hard for the cold.

  • @awedwardscleaningsolutions

    I found the 3.0 helps with the nxt-r rubber but it's still not a great rubber. Never found the need for extra clips in any of my liquidator

  • @PartridgeExteriorCleaning

    I agree with the nxt. I actually stopped using my liquidator because i thought that was the issue not the rubber. Popped a razr red in it one day on an off chance and thoroughly enjoyed it.
    Loving the green now though almost feels a shame i rarely clean windows anymore!

    Hey Peter,
    In Australia, our Moerman distributor is now selling 3.0 clips in packs of 10. So for A$28.00/£15.00 I can update 5 channels with 3.0 clips.
    This week my first NXT-R rubber is arriving. Keep you posted on my thoughts on its quality, remembering your experience with it. 😁👍

    I bought a 18 inch 3.0 with a razor red rubber in it not a good fit for me it sticks the glass if I straight pull down I can get away with it I’m going try a Ettore in it to see if that makes it slide nice as I use them in the 2.0 and today tried the Tesco’s eucalyptus brilliant slip and control and it actually made me faster with less effort and the ettore rubber was over a week old but felt like new honestly worth a try I love the moreman range.

    I’ve just got the 12 inch liquidator after using unger s squeegees for 17 year thought I’d give it a try. I’ve just put my usual pulex soft rubber in and used the under s handle. I find I have to press really hard on the glass otherwise it’s not taking all the soap of the glass and missing patches in the middle.

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Před 3 lety

      Are you putting soap on the applicator after dunking in water then rubbing the glass to get a good solution?

      No mate I just full the bucket up with soapy water and get a dip when needed, I did buy a 14 inch used it with the rubber that it came with, sent it back then watched your video so ordered another in 12 inch and tried with different rubber. It is better but still Easyer with the old faithful, maybe I just need more practise with the Morman🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Před 3 lety

      To get the moerman to work properly you need to apply soap to the applicator and not the water. Use a clean bucket of water, then after dunking your applicator, apply a line of soap on each side of the applicator and then rub the glass with the applicator. You'll notice the solution is more stable and will find its more slippy than watery soap from the bucket. Give that a go and see how it goes for you. 😎🤜🏻🤛🏻

    Hi mate, not seen any videos for a while, thanks for this 👍 one.
    Can't see the point of Moerman manufacturing these clips, if no different?
    Seems strange, you say 🤔 you still have to put end clips in...do you think you could be using too much soap for slip,possibly?
    Also I'm gobsmacked at the timescale of one side of the rubber...one week, wow! Try cutting down old rubbers, or those that you don't like....don't bin them!..and use them on a small squeegee to do the tops and side first...this will help your main squeegee rubber last months!

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Před 3 lety +1

      It was suggested to moerman years ago to make there own little insert clips but for some reason they just think that the blue end clip is sufficient when in fact the rubber just moves around causing lines on the glass.
      I never have issues with unger green or ettore master. moerman need to sort this rubber out, bigger bulb to get better hold in the clips, and sort out the squeaking / durability issues.
      I always pin the rubber anyway as this ensures it doesn't pull out the channel at all

      @@TradMan i find moerman soft in the 2.0 unbeatable . Like kids in a sweet shop aren't we, so 🤷 much choice of squeegee and rubbers...
      Been working hard, looking for a boab that doesn't nick the rubbers, very important in my book, decided on a very soft , flexible material, don't see these for sale anywhere, fabulous, lightweight, kind on the squeegee rubbers.

  • @bigdon3975
    @bigdon3975 Před 3 lety +3

    For me it's the opposite. The unger is like an eraser to me, no matter how much soap I use. even with the ungerly soap. the moerman rubber, on the other hand, slides like ice skates on ice. But there are also very rare glasses on which the green rubber is unbeatable! here in germany this type of glass is very rare. i love the nxt rubber it lasts longer than ettore's.

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Před 3 lety +2

      Interesting! Sounds like the nxtr rubber is hit and miss. More seem to dislike than like but some do seem to get on ok with it.
      For me I need a rubber thats consistent, reliable and good quality. Ettore and Unger have done very well with the rubber but Moerman has always been hit and miss, sometimes it's good next its not. Shame really.
      Glad your getting some use from it though 😉

    After watching a lot of your videos I gave Moerman and „zero detailing“ a try and it worked surprisingly well.
    I had to change my technique what took a little bit but it worked.
    I also changed to the green UNGER rubber because of the reasons you mentioned.

    Hey TradMan! Always a fan of your vids, I'm glad I subscribed a while back! Question for you; it looks like the 3.0's new design comes with what looks like a clip at the end of the channel. I take it you don't use that since you don't cut your rubbers to fit the shape of the end of the channel. I plan on using Ettore Master rubbers and Unger clips. I assume that if I did cut the rubbers to fit, I couldn't fit the Unger clips while also using the new clips at the end of the channel... ??

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi! Thank you for your kind comment 😊
      You can use the unger green clips, you'll find with ettore rubber its a tight fit anyway as it's got a bigger bulb at the bottom. The unger clips will help to stop any pulling if you go over a bit too much dry glass when fanning or on a surface with high friction etc.

    I think a slight movement, a characteristic of the rotating handle (EXCELERATOR2.0) from above the 18 inch channel of the liquidator, has a great influence on the pressure that rubber exerts on the glass, what do you think?
