      Get acquainted with a little color theory. Can go a long way with direction for editing. For example, teals and oranges are almost an unbeatable combo, after you find out where your comfort is after some practice.

      2:22 Are you talking full frame cameras as well, no? Because from what I know, on crop sensor that shutter speed should also multiplied with the crop factor, for example a 24mm on a 1.5 crop should need at least 1/50s. You could tell these in the videos also, because your videos are great, but we have different cameras here. :)

    The over and under editing is what I find myself struggling with on street photography, especially here in Vancouver where there are too many tall buildings creating shadows that mess up a shot, yet at the same time in some places the sunlight is completely blown out. Oof! Great tips though indeed! I really do need to learn to slow down and stop worrying about getting that 'one' great shot. 😅

  • @don7117
    @don7117 Před rokem

    Nailed it with the 'less is more'. Well, at least for my preferences. I often see incredible landscape photos, and for practice, I copy them, then crop and edit them to how I would have finished them off. Others have a better eye for composition that I do, but I think I can take a great photo and get more out of it than some much better photographers than me.

    The Basics! “Simplify! - Watch the shutter speed! - Nail the focus! Especially nail the focus. Blurry pics just don’t cut it. Razor sharp; colorful (unless the intent is a monochrome vision, obviously). A clear and uncluttered subject. That’s what we see in the best work, over and over. And finally - it’s not about the gear! Yay!
