You can tell Jon love it, when you got that caliber of musicianship, wow. And that Landau solo, speechless. No offence to the Bon Jovi Band (which I love) but this was kickass
Michael Landau is a living legend amongst guitarists and musicians in general. Smart move of Jon Bon Jovi to hire the greatest musicians on the planet. Better than the originals.
Vinnie Colaiuta not in the same league with Tico Torres? Did I read that right? Yeah, if you mean that Vinnie is a major league all star, and Tico's playing little league. That pretty much works for me. It's hard to imagine a better backing band than this one. This song has never sounded better. And yes, Kudos Landau, of a fire-breathing solo. That's why he's my favorite!
The Camera director surely loves to shoot Nathan forever...LOL, he appeared at all time on the middle led screen. The music is so fuckin greatly powerful and so ALIVE, look at how Bon Jovi and his singers enjoyed and immersed into this BAND!!
Vinnie Colaiuta, the drummer here, is particularly famous for being an awesome drummer and excellent at reading first sight. He plays jazz and much harder music to play. Bon Jovi's music is great, but it is obviously a piece of cake for Vinnie to read and play. It's like reading 2+2=4.
Man, what a lineup. What an arrangement. Horns and backup vocals were incredible. The only disappointment is that nobody transcribed for Vinny Tico’s “thump own chest” unison line that’s essential during the “I haven’t found it yet” bass drum break. (That’s the only reason you didn’t see it. If it were on the page, Vinny’d have nailed it. )
The best Bon Jovi ever sounded!! Mr Landau… hats off to you brother! #Legend
Vinnie Colaiuta - best reader there has ever been.

Performing with super musicians makes all the difference.

He is playing with Eric Clapton's band... what else could we expect???
Holy shit :-)
Ok,vir ..sorry,Vinnie and Landau NEVER play With the Clapton Band
Great backing vocals... Amazing performance!
Landau just killing it ..

Oh my god... the guitar solo&backging guitar is so great.. I would like to see more Landau's live session performances
Vinnie is reading!!!! They probably didn't even rehearse for this......amazing
The Best MUSICIANS on this stage but LANDAU IS BRUTAL!!!!!!

Superb solo concert
The guy with the red guitar is Heitor TP from Brazil...great guitar player....
The Camera director surely loves to shoot Nathan forever...LOL, he appeared at all time on the middle led screen.

He's not only the drummer, it's fucking amazing Colaiuta !!!
It's fucking Vinnie!!! WTF!!

Who needs Richie or Tico ,these band is 10 times better !!!!!

@Marcus Hansson You're right. He's in a higher league. Tico's fantastic and all but he can't match the diversity and abilities of Vinnie Colaiuta.
.. and: Vinnie is READING the song. That is badass defined...
but more importantly: check the rack on the girl in blue 0:31
hey it's paul wix!
@betotheguitar not a second! ;o)
was that Nathan East on bass??
great clip!
I think Dann Huff is playing guitar there as well
Jerry Hey and Gary Grant on trumpets?
Poor Vinnie had to be put through this
He is reading first sight in front of 50k people. thats a top session musician.
Top drummer, Top gig..... poor who? Vinnie accepted and ruled just like he did with Megadeth and Frank Zappa, come on now
It's not that he's in the same league, he has a different style when he plays than Tico has.
@tcmdrumz Dann Huff could've played that! Or Lukather! But it wouldn't have sounded anything like Mike! He's such a great musician!

@tibobine101 ummmm....
I was at this concert and I know it wasn't Dann.. sorry..
I think this guy played for Simply Red at some point.
well....it didnt fit
wow its so obvius that tico isn't behind the drums , this guy really not in the same league
You can tell the difference between rock stars and professional studio musicians. Rock stars make it sound better
?
I'm sorry gents... the band is very good, but we still missing Richie and Torres...
haha!!!!!!!! u hear the guitar solo???? pathetique, no one can perform bon jovi's songs guitar solo like sambora there is only one sambora
