Hoshi may be goofy most of the time but he's very hard working and responsible when it comes to their performances, what he feels back then makes sense and thanks to DK being sensitive that he worked harder and gave more than his best survived among 20 trainees. DK is actually very passionate when it comes to singing as much as Hoshi being passionate with his dancing
dk is indeed sensitive, other members often said he really gets sulky or upset or offended because i think he recognizes his emotions which makes him really pure 😭🤍🫶🏻
He has the same MBTI and almost similar personality as mine so I can relate a lot. If somebody said to me, I'd cry too not because they said that but because I'd feel like I disappointed them by not putting in enough efforts. I think it has more to do with thinking that you're being an inconvenience than actually the words. He was very new too so he probably wasn't all that settled and still uncomfortable so hearing that must've been not welcoming. I did have a similar situation though not exactly the same but it made me cry too. It's also isn't Hoshi's fault because I see where he was coming from. I think that's why they don't really like to talk about their trainees days a lot.

Oh the leaders nodded when Hoshi was saying that this is all they had… really Hoshi scoups and Woozi I feel even back then had a lot on their shoulders from what I’ve read. And I get DK too. From what the members says, he’s the pondering type. So I get him feeling hurt back then~ tho it’s all good now hehe. As he said.
Wow hoshi was right tho if someone who didnt put as much or even close to the effort he put in future there is always a chance they would slack or so. He had all the tight to worry but I'm glad he sorted it out with dk even tho it seemed like a small thing. Im glad they succeeded!! Thry so deserved it
Exactly. It was do or die for him since I heard that his family was struggling financially at that time too so I do get why he wanted it all to be perfect. Their company didn't really have that much funds so if it somehow didn't work out then he really wouldn't have any chance. For them, every opportunity was very important. So I do get why he was so sensitive and short tempered at that time. I think DK too understood the position they were in and that's why they're so close. Plus they were all so young, barely adults and the amount of responsibilities they had to bear must've not been easy, no wonder they were all so sensitive at that time.
He's got a good head around his shoulders. He knows how a single member's performance will effect the whole group and he stood his ground that he does not want someone to negatively effect the group. I feel like this is something that most new groups lack :') They just working hard on their own without criticizing the others since they're not close friends just yet.. Unlike hoshi being that bold and strict to anyone. But look at where that brings them, nobody in Seventeen half-assing things. Hoshi truly deserve to be one of the top leaders :))
Hoshi has always shown a great sense of responsibility. To his family, his team and his fans. It shows. He gives 200% every time as if it’s the last time. That’s what makes him Hoshi. That’s what makes him stand out. My bias 🥰

He himself was barely an adult who had to take responsibility of like 17-20 kids along with his family. He probably didn't see how hurtful it must've been at that time because he was having a hard time himself too. It's really hard to think about individual people when you've to make sure the whole team is perfect, choreograph their songs along with the pressure of losing your family home and making money for your family. He had too much on his plate to think about others. Maybe that sounds a little selfish but the situation he was in, it was best to be selfish because he was a trainee from a small company with limited funds. There wasn't time to slack off or make mistakes. He necessarily didn't mean it but the high stress situation made him unable to think and consider before speaking. DK though initially hurt, also understood Hoshi's situation. That's why he didn't fight him because of that comment as it wasn't something he actually meant. Him regretting it so much that he apologized several times does show that. We all say mean stuff when we're so stressed that our head's about to explode but the important thing is after calming down we should think it through and apologize to the person involved which Hoshi did.
I love how most of the comments here commends Hoshi for his good sense of responsibility and hardwork, which is all great ❤. But the bottom line remains - What he said to DK at the time was too harsh and condescending. To say people like Dk are "the reason why the group is doomed" was quite bad, regardless of whatever situation took place. All he had to say or do was demand that DK took his practice and work more seriously so as to not bring the team down...instead of making a conclusion on him or branding him such a term. I'm glad they've all grown. They now understand and love each other even more than they did before. It is wholesome and I'm here for it!❤

It is wholesome and I'm here for it!❤
Dk is very sensitive and it worries me when I think about the hate comments haters say. I hope he doesn't let them get to him.
He is such a sweetie how can anyone hate this cutie😍❤️
