Thanks a lot Fabio for this great Synchron Brass walk through... I have to confess that I like the sound of this library but the section sizes are questionable to say the least. I would have liked very much to see brass ensembles like: Trumpets a3, Horns a4, Tenor trombone a3. Unfortunately these standard ensemble sizes seem to have gone out of fashion for VSL and I talk from a very happy VSL user of many years, but recent releases have left me a bit disappointed. Kind regards and blessings, MaxT
Hello Max, We are pouring our experience from our scoring sessions at Synchron Stage into our products and we believe that a little more choice in ensemble sizes is a good thing. Our "classic" Vienna Instruments collections are still great to use, of course, and now, you're free to mix and match as you like for your arrangements. Paul
13 GB is the ram used by ALL the Synchron Instruments I had loaded when recording. It doesn't show you the ram used by that particular instrument but it is capable of showing you the total amount of RAM you are using
@@FabioAmurri Thank you. Can you list the instruments used so I can have a rough idea of what 13GB is? Is it with all microphones enabled? Does the Synchron Player show the RAM used in one plugin instance or across all instances? - if in fact you are using more than one instance. Your response is appreciated.
Hi again, unfortunately they are too many to mention. That number shows the ram used by all Synchron Player instruments across all my Vienna Ensemble Pro instances. That means I have pretty much all Synchron Percussion loaded, all Synchron Strings Pro, couple of Synchron Pianos, pretty majority of BBO libraries and all Synchron Brass instruments loaded. For all libraries I am using the full version with majority of mics on at the same time. Buffer size is set at 3000 (I could probably go even lower than that, consuming even less RAM).
The amount of RAM you need also depends on the speed of your SSD drives (which is measured automatically). Very fast drives only load very small parts of the samples into RAM, which helps a lot with a lean system! Paul
Road to best brass library
damn, these sound nice. I want.
These are wonderful pieces, Fabio! They showcases some of the amazement that Synchron Brass is capable of. Thanks for sharing them!

13.68GB is one instrument loaded or the entire library with all microphones?

You can notice the RAM usage stays the same when I switch from instrument to instrument
