I sympathize with Kwite. I was accused of SA by an ex. as a result, I was potentially facing up to 10 yrs in prison for a crime I never committed. it was by pure luck of her changing her story so many times that I avoided going to prison
Wrongful accusations like that are a lot more common than people realize. I was accused of it once fortunately it never blew up and the person accusing never went far.

as someone who was SA'd multiple times and then had to deal with harassment from false SA accusations after all of that, what happened to kwite sickens me to my core. it's been almost a year since i was falsely accused and i'm still suffering and i still risk being harassed daily because of the absolute mess that was made by my accuser. (shit, she even tried to get in contact with me a few days ago and is still talking about me, including telling people around her about private matters that i went through. she brought up my recent suicide attempt, that i kept secret, at a mutual friend's daughter's funeral. this kind of shit doesn't leave you, even in the event of tragedy.) it's so disgusting to see this happening to someone else on such a large scale. kwite handled it so well and with such decorum. it makes me feel so much less alone and so much more valid in my sexual trauma; i just wish those feelings didn't have to come from seeing someone else's life nearly get ruined too. i truly hope that kwite is able to heal from this and move on with his life. and i hope that everyone who falsely accuses people of things like sexual assault, especially when the person they're lying about has been through that very thing, rots in the deepest pit of hell for all eternity. it's completely unacceptable.

Instead of a comment, let me tell you a story Back during my freshman year, there was a girl who liked to make shit up to start drama. One day she decided she was going to start saying that the nicest male teacher in the school had been SAing her. He was fired, and put on the registry, even after the claims were proved false, and the girl was suspended for 3 days. Later this same year, one of the female teachers was found to be grooming and regularly assaulting one of the male students. The male student was moved to a different class only 4 or 5 rooms away, and the teacher got off with 6 weeks paid leave.

As a victim of sexual assault, I was horrified to speak about it for over a year before I finally told my principal what my classmate did to me. I remember, word for word, her telling me “If it really happened, you wouldn’t have waited a year. He graduates in a month, stop trying to ruin his career.” It pisses me off when false accusations like this happen because it doesn’t just hurt the person being accused, but it affects every other person who actually IS a victim, because then people are inclined to assume it’s for attention.
Not even, all the 3 weeks took was for the Skype evidence. So he immediately had basically a novel of proof, Orion faked legal documents which you need to have years to get done to be remotely believable.

I know I'm late to this video, but thank you for posting this. I was sexually assaulted in high school by my then girlfriend and I was a virgin before this, and after we broke up she immediately started claiming that I was the one to assault her and I went through a very similar situation. It's very reassuring to hear you talk about this story and call people like her and all those who act without thinking out. It really helps bring light to situations like Kwite and I's, especially since many don't give a second thought when a male is the one being accused. So thank you Charlie, this video really helped.

Sadly, this. I had no real proof in court because my abuse all happened in person before I even knew how to use the internet. I am glad Kwite could prove he is innocent. It sucks that this will only add to how people discredit victims who don't technically have "proof". Word against word really sucks sometimes.
It’s a real dilemma for sure. I just hope more people can grow up and just understand that both situations (someone being the victim and someone being falsely accused) can happen. These people need to stop pointing fingers and refusing to hear anyone out and just listen to both sides of the story. The Kwite situation has taught me a very valuable lesson for not just the internet but for life, and that is that you don’t have to get involved. I really like Kwite and watched him a lot before he took a break (which he deserved), and when the allegations came out I was sad because I had never had a creator I really liked been accused of something like that before, and he was a genuinely funny dude. So I unsubscribed from him and all his alternative channels… that was it. I didn’t go and harass him and try to ruin his life, and just pulled from his direct line of support. And when they were proven false I subscribed again. You don’t have to insert yourself in a situation because it’s on the internet, and while I’m not saying to ignore victims. You can still comfort and console them, but you don’t have to go so far as to bash the accused because you think they’re deplorable when you don’t know the full story yet. Now every time there’s internet drama I kinda need to sit back and wait for the both sides, and see what each side has to offer.

I learned a while ago now, that I don't always need to have an opinion. I don't always need to make a decision on everything. In my experience - most people who react the way ppl reacted against Kwite are younger ppl with less life experience. They're not stupid, they're less experienced in life and sometimes are less emotionally mature.

Can't stand how literally anyone can make accusations about another person and hundreds, thousands, even millions of people will instantly believe them and if the accused doesn't respond within 24 hours they're automatically guilty. Whomever accused Kwite deserves the same consequences they were trying to give him.
I would say the second worst side effect of social media (that also plays into this) is the "blood over justice" mentality. Encouraging harassment or even assault/murder of the person who is "in the wrong" (no matter if they were guilty or not) is a disturbingly popular opinion online.

You can't do that. We never know. People that retract are often forced to do so, regardless of truth. When a man can be found raping an unconscious woman behind a dumpster and get more than 6 months we can talk. Rape cases so often get no justice, tortures the victims, millions of rape kits go untested and almost all rapist never see any jail time. Its way more unfair for victims than the fasley accused and until that balances out, I don't care.

He was UNCOMFORTABLE with Orion taking pictures because he wanted to stay a faceless content creator, and then his very fear was thrown back in his face after Orion shared said pictures with other people and lied about it. Overall just an incredibly awful situation and I hope after everything Kwite can at least somewhat recover from the trauma and stress this has undoubtedly caused.
I will say Orion was terrible in this situation but I would like to say to the non-malicious ppl out there that Incase a real situation of what Orion lied about happens to you that it may be good to have a clear picture in your phone of the person/people, expeccially somewhat strangers, you hangout with but only if for the purpose of reporting it to the police (in the case that they do something criminal to you) to identify the person and with real evidence and trial, then maybe warn people online about them if they are not convicted.
It's crucial to take in all accounts of a situation in any argument so that you can recognize when you are wrong and build on each other to get as close to the truth as possible.
I've been accused of SA before on twitter, people don't understand how much anxiety accusations give you. like I could not sleep properly for weeks after the accusation and having people DM me calling me a disgusting pig etc. even now I'll remember it every now and then and my stomach will just drop and I'll nearly vomit. you don't just "get over it" or just be fine.
Honestly.. I can not believe someone would do that to another human being. What do you gain from accusing someone other than getting attention. It is absolutely disgusting to see someone actually think of doing something like that to someone completely innocent.
A sense of vindication. Those types of people are the most petty of the petty, and will pull out all stops just to see someone they feel hurt by or don't like suffer. It makes them feel better about themselves, in a self-righteous "I really showed them, don't fuck with me, ha" sort of way. Speaking as a petty, stubborn motherfucker myself, that's what I think, anyways. I personally would never step over that line of basic human decency, but I can see people who lack empathy to balance that stubbornness taking shit waaay too far.
In sophomore year of highschool I got accused of sexual assault by my ex girlfriend and it ended up evolving into rape and physical abuse rumors. It was so devastating because not even a single person had my back and everyone who I thought was my friend stabbed me in the back immediately, they didn’t even bother to ask my side of the story. The hardest part was some of those friends I had been friends with since young childhood, and I never thought they’d just switch like that. My house got egged and I got threatened all the time, and I even got in a couple fights. I was kind of popular so the rumors spread to even other schools, and people who I had never even met before would dm me or tell me in person “aren’t you that rapist guy” and everyone just jumped on the hate train. It ruined my high school experience so badly I had to move schools twice and almost self deleted twice. These rumors truly are life altering and sometimes they will straight up ruin your life. I’m so glad to see Kwite getting his justice that I was never lucky enough to get.

my ex had similar accusations of me and in result my childhood best friend (we met in 5th grade and the situation occured freshman year of college) believed her because, and i quote, he "always believes the woman." I've healed since but this kind of shit is simply atrotious. Pretending to be a victim to me is in turn spitting in the face of anyone who was/is actually a victim.
True, my fiancé was falsely accused and put on an ankle monitor thinking he would go for life bc we couldn’t afford a lawyer, drained of all our savings and lost our apartment and car and friends just for the case to be dropped a year later. Not to mention the effect it had on his mental health. 🥲

Poor dude did a whole face reveal and I got excited because I hadn't heard anything about any allegations (I'm not on Twitter much) but then it was this super serious video where he highlights some of his biggest insecurities and goes through all the texts etc. His video was so well made and he sounded so sincere and honest and vulnerable. What makes me SO angry is not only did the accuser lie (or maybe convince himself idk) but now he cast doubt on any other victim of abuse or r*pe or anything like that. It's very frustrating because there are lots of youtubers that are ACTUAL creeps and DO deserve to get taken down for it, but this doesn't seem to be the case here, and it just muddies the water when it comes to real abuse.

Well, good news is that might not be completely true. Orion (the fake victim) is associated with another big CZcams channel that openly supported their lies and claimed them to be true, Kwites video took a huge chunk of those channels fans away. So it seems they might actually face some kind of hit.
This is an absolutely horrific situation and having been SA’d myself years ago I’m disgusted that anyone can lie about this, but I know people are unfortunately capable of it. This is awful for the accused person involved but also for other survivors of R*pe and assault, because it’s hard enough to come out about it but what makes it harder is having people label you as a liar and question every detail making you relive the situation time and time again. As a survivor of SA, things like this upset me because false accusations make it harder for those who actually were assaulted to get justice or to even be believed. Being assaulted is one of the worst things that has ever happened to me. So the fact that someone used that as a form of ruining someone for a personal benefit is disgusting. Whoever falsely accused him should be charged, because false accusations ruin people too.
it's a catch 22 because it's important to weed out lying accusers but it seems like people in general become more and more hostile to believing victims when things like this happen, thus making it more difficult than it already was to come forward, and the cycle continues.
The fact that Kwite had a bad feeling about Orion almost 5 years ago, did everything he could to distance + protect himself- and this STILL happened is heartbreaking. In my personal opinion as someone who has been abused by a narcissist- Orion’s combination of love bombing, emotional manipulation/abuse (in many forms), and trying to make himself look like the victim while slandering the person he abused is very much covert narcissist behavior. i thought orion seemed incredibly immature and sort of bratty, reminding me of a lot of people i'd spoken with online when i was younger. but, narcs do have a tendency to seem like petulant children, especially when they don't get their way. it never fails to surprise me how blatant they are about their intentions, blanketing them just enough so as to make sense of it in their head, and so that their victims (who already feel pressured to give them the benefit of the doubt/not say anything to hurt them or set them off) can't pierce the thin veil. while orion allegedly described his parents as abusive, and it's worth mentioning that victims of (narcissistic) abuse are likely to mirror their abusers, it's still worth mentioning that orion definitely seems self-absorbed and to lack empathy. i hope he can see that about himself, so he can get help for it.
Personally for me, as someone who barely managed to get out of a toxic relationship alive, I felt secondary extreme pain hearing Kwite forcefully responding to all of these nonsense, as it made me re-live the most traumatising experience of my life, physically and mentally. I want to put a disclaimer on your comment. For a long time, I thought I was a narcissist. And, while it’s true that I can display the “lovebombing, victim blaming, etc” pattern, it’s from CPTSD, not narcissistic personality disorder. This was a point of great shame for me for a long time, and the hatred I felt from everyone around me prevented me from getting help, even though I knew something was wrong with me.
As an SA victim myself, I hate it when people lie and make up allegations like this. It makes it much harder for real victims, male, female, or otherwise, to come forward. I really wish people would stop making allegations like these up for clout or to ruin someone's life or career.

I’m not sure how long I’ve been watching him either but this whole situation has broken my heart. I hadn’t heard of these allegations until just this morning when the entire internet came back onto his side and first of all I’m so glad I never heard them in the first place because a) I don’t think I would have believed them and b) if I did it would have broken my heart, kwite is a creator who is dear to me. A parasocial relationship that i value more than the others up there with my one with Charlie because they are both people that I can implicitly tell that I can trust. The most heartbreaking thing about this situation is even knowing what Kwite looks like at all to me. It’s obviously been such a big deal to him to never show his face and, despite him being FAR more attractive behind the mask than I thought he’d be over my years of viewership, it sucks to know the face of one of my favorite creators in a circumstance that is very much NOT under their terms when they had earned my respect without showing their face in the first place. What makes it so much worse is that ultimately it was over nothing. That makes what would ordinarily sting burn.
I remember reading that callout post and thinking that it was sketchy. They offered no real evidence and the stories they recalled were very vague. I want to always believe victims, but some people make it really hard. Every time someone does something like this to get back at someone, they are harming legitimate victims.

as someone who was SA'd multiple times and then had to deal with harassment from false SA accusations after all of that, what happened to kwite sickens me to my core. it's been almost a year since i was falsely accused and i'm still suffering and i still risk being harassed daily because of the absolute mess that was made by my accuser. (shit, she even tried to get in contact with me a few days ago and is still talking about me, including telling people around her about private matters that i went through. she brought up my recent suicide attempt, that i kept secret, at a mutual friend's daughter's funeral. this kind of shit doesn't leave you, even in the event of tragedy.) it's so disgusting to see this happening to someone else on such a large scale. kwite handled it so well and with such decorum. it makes me feel so much less alone and so much more valid in my sexual trauma; i just wish those feelings didn't have to come from seeing someone else's life nearly get ruined too. i truly hope that kwite is able to heal from this and move on with his life. and i hope that everyone who falsely accuses people of things like sexual assault, especially when the person they're lying about has been through that very thing, rots in the deepest pit of hell for all eternity. it's completely unacceptable.

Back during my freshman year, there was a girl who liked to make shit up to start drama. One day she decided she was going to start saying that the nicest male teacher in the school had been SAing her. He was fired, and put on the registry, even after the claims were proved false, and the girl was suspended for 3 days. Later this same year, one of the female teachers was found to be grooming and regularly assaulting one of the male students. The male student was moved to a different class only 4 or 5 rooms away, and the teacher got off with 6 weeks paid leave.

I've had people stalk my socials to find my private ones, just to blow up in my face about shit I keep to myself. And even after trying to explain calmly to get them to calm down even a little bit, I'm always met with "I don't care, I just think you're a freak/etc. etc." and then they block me. Every single time. People like that are truly the worst.

As a victim of sexual assault, I was horrified to speak about it for over a year before I finally told my principal what my classmate did to me. I remember, word for word, her telling me “If it really happened, you wouldn’t have waited a year. He graduates in a month, stop trying to ruin his career.”
It pisses me off when false accusations like this happen because it doesn’t just hurt the person being accused, but it affects every other person who actually IS a victim, because then people are inclined to assume it’s for attention.

I immediately knew from the texts alone that Orion was abusive as fuck and super grooming Kwite. Felt that, been there, hopefully he has friends to help him not go to the end because he never deserved that. Hell, he even explained faults he did make.
Had someone leverage suicide to keep me in a relationship. I was 13 and easily scared, but after a year I couldn't take the stress any more. A year after the breakup he said he told me he'd been hospitalized three times and it was all my fault. It's the absolute worst shit.

He was accused of a very serious crime which according to his video was very hurtful as he himself was raped/sexually assaulted. I know I'm late to this video, but thank you for posting this. I was sexually assaulted in high school by my then girlfriend and I was a virgin before this, and after we broke up she immediately started claiming that I was the one to assault her and I went through a very similar situation. It's very reassuring to hear you talk about this story and call people like her and all those who act without thinking out. It really helps bring light to situations like Kwite and I's, especially since many don't give a second thought when a male is the one being accused. So thank you Charlie, this video really helped.

Sadly, this. I had no real proof in court because my abuse all happened in person before I even knew how to use the internet. I am glad Kwite could prove he is innocent. It sucks that this will only add to how people discredit victims who don't technically have "proof". Word against word really sucks sometimes.
The worst part about this is that it makes it that much harder for real victims to get help. And in the end helps real abusers rather than stop them.
It’s a real dilemma for sure. I just hope more people can grow up and just understand that both situations (someone being the victim and someone being falsely accused) can happen. These people need to stop pointing fingers and refusing to hear anyone out and just listen to both sides of the story. Eventually, the person lying would get nervous and break, so they’ll get their punishment.

The Kwite situation has taught me a very valuable lesson for not just the internet but for life, and that is that you don’t have to get involved. I really like Kwite and watched him a lot before he took a break (which he deserved), and when the allegations came out I was sad because I had never had a creator I really liked been accused of something like that before, and he was a genuinely funny dude. So I unsubscribed from him and all his alternative channels… that was it. I didn’t go and harass him and try to ruin his life, and just pulled from his direct line of support. And when they were proven false I subscribed again. You don’t have to insert yourself in a situation because it’s on the internet, and while I’m not saying to ignore victims. You can still comfort and console them, but you don’t have to go so far as to bash the accused because you think they’re deplorable when you don’t know the full story yet. Now every time there’s internet drama I kinda need to sit back and wait for the both sides, and see what each side has to offer.

You can't do that. We never know. People that retract are often forced to do so, regardless of truth. When a man can be found raping an unconscious woman behind a dumpster and get more than 6 months we can talk. Rape cases so often get no justice, tortures the victims, millions of rape kits go untested and almost all rapist never see any jail time. Its way more unfair for victims than the fasley accused and until that balances out, I don't care.

Overall just an incredibly awful situation and I hope after everything Kwite can at least somewhat recover from the trauma and stress this has undoubtedly caused.
I will say Orion was terrible in this situation but I would like to say to the non-malicious ppl out there that Incase a real situation of what Orion lied about happens to you that it may be good to have a clear picture in your phone of the person/people, expeccially somewhat strangers, you hangout with but only if for the purpose of reporting it to the police (in the case that they do something criminal to you) to identify the person and with real evidence and trial, then maybe warn people online about them if they are not convicted.

It's crucial to take in all accounts of a situation in any argument so that you can recognize when you are wrong and build on each other to get as close to the truth as possible.
I've been accused of SA before on twitter, people don't understand how much anxiety accusations give you. like I could not sleep properly for weeks after the accusation and having people DM me calling me a disgusting pig etc. even now I'll remember it every now and then and my stomach will just drop and I'll nearly vomit. you don't just "get over it" or just be fine.

A sense of vindication. Those types of people are the most petty of the petty, and will pull out all stops just to see someone they feel hurt by or don't like suffer. It makes them feel better about themselves, in a self-righteous "I really showed them, don't fuck with me, ha" sort of way.
Speaking as a petty, stubborn motherfucker myself, that's what I think, anyways. I personally would never step over that line of basic human decency, but I can see people who lack empathy to balance that stubbornness taking shit waaay too far.

In sophomore year of highschool I got accused of sexual assault by my ex girlfriend and it ended up evolving into rape and physical abuse rumors. It was so devastating because not even a single person had my back and everyone who I thought was my friend stabbed me in the back immediately, they didn’t even bother to ask my side of the story. The hardest part was some of those friends I had been friends with since young childhood, and I never thought they’d just switch like that. My house got egged and I got threatened all the time, and I even got in a couple fights. I was kind of popular so the rumors spread to even other schools, and people who I had never even met before would dm me or tell me in person “aren’t you that rapist guy” and everyone just jumped on the hate train. It ruined my high school experience so badly I had to move schools twice and almost self deleted twice. These rumors truly are life altering and sometimes they will straight up ruin your life. I’m so glad to see Kwite getting his justice that I was never lucky enough to get.

I felt awful for him as well. Poor dude did a whole face reveal and I got excited because I hadn't heard anything about any allegations (I'm not on Twitter much) but then it was this super serious video where he highlights some of his biggest insecurities and goes through all the texts etc. His video was so well made and he sounded so sincere and honest and vulnerable.
What makes me SO angry is not only did the accuser lie (or maybe convince himself idk) but now he cast doubt on any other victim of abuse or r*pe or anything like that. It's very frustrating because there are lots of youtubers that are ACTUAL creeps and DO deserve to get taken down for it, but this doesn't seem to be the case here, and it just muddies the water when it comes to real abuse.

This is an absolutely horrific situation and having been SA’d myself years ago I’m disgusted that anyone can lie about this, but I know people are unfortunately capable of it. This is awful for the accused person involved but also for other survivors of R*pe and assault, because it’s hard enough to come out about it but what makes it harder is having people label you as a liar and question every detail making you relive the situation time and time again. I’m truly disgusted by this mess and just really sorry for him being accused of something so heinous which turns out he didn’t do.

As a survivor of SA, things like this upset me because false accusations make it harder for those who actually were assaulted to get justice or to even be believed. Being assaulted is one of the worst things that has ever happened to me. So the fact that someone used that as a form of ruining someone for a personal benefit is disgusting. Whoever falsely accused him should be charged, because false accusations ruin people too.

it's a catch 22 because it's important to weed out lying accusers but it seems like people in general become more and more hostile to believing victims when things like this happen, thus making it more difficult than it already was to come forward, and the cycle continues.

The fact that Kwite had a bad feeling about Orion almost 5 years ago, did everything he could to distance + protect himself- and this STILL happened is heartbreaking.
In my personal opinion as someone who has been abused by a narcissist- Orion’s combination of love bombing, emotional manipulation/abuse (in many forms), and trying to make himself look like the victim while slandering the person he abused is very much covert narcissist behavior. Covert narcissists are wolves in sheep’s clothing, and usually the only people who know are their victims.

i thought orion seemed incredibly immature and sort of bratty, reminding me of a lot of people i'd spoken with online when i was younger. but, narcs do have a tendency to seem like petulant children, especially when they don't get their way. it never fails to surprise me how blatant they are about their intentions, blanketing them just enough so as to make sense of it in their head, and so that their victims (who already feel pressured to give them the benefit of the doubt/not say anything to hurt them or set them off) can't pierce the thin veil. while orion allegedly described his parents as abusive, and it's worth mentioning that victims of (narcissistic) abuse are likely to mirror their abusers, it's still worth mentioning that orion definitely seems self-absorbed and to lack empathy. i hope he can see that about himself, so he can get help for it.
Personally for me, as someone who barely managed to get out of a toxic relationship alive, I felt secondary extreme pain hearing Kwite forcefully responding to all of these nonsense, as it made me re-live the most traumatising experience of my life, physically and mentally. I genuinely hope the worst for that creature for stepping so fucking low than even earthworms doesn't want to associate with that person. It's truly disgusting, and horrific that we are breathing the same air as these type of people. I want to put a disclaimer on your comment. For a long time, I thought I was a narcissist. And, while it’s true that I can display the “lovebombing, victim blaming, etc” pattern, it’s from CPTSD, not narcissistic personality disorder. After the Slazo situation, I started to wait for both sides. And when Kwite came out with his side, he came out with receipts and chat logs from every conversation. Now that Orion has been exposed, I'm waiting on a lawsuit from faking medical forms and placing that doctor's name and the office. Everyone who tried to cancel Kwite owes him a public apology.

I’m not sure how long I’ve been watching him either but this whole situation has broken my heart.
I hadn’t heard of these allegations until just this morning when the entire internet came back onto his side and first of all I’m so glad I never heard them in the first place because a) I don’t think I would have believed them and b) if I did it would have broken my heart, kwite is a creator who is dear to me. A parasocial relationship that i value more than the others up there with my one with Charlie because they are both people that I can implicitly tell that I can trust.
The most heartbreaking thing about this situation is even knowing what Kwite looks like at all to me. It’s obviously been such a big deal to him to never show his face and, despite him being FAR more attractive behind the mask than I thought he’d be over my years of viewership, it sucks to know the face of one of my favorite creators in a circumstance that is very much NOT under their terms when they had earned my respect without showing their face in the first place.
What makes it so much worse is that ultimately it was over nothing. That makes what would ordinarily sting burn.

I remember reading that callout post and thinking that it was sketchy. They offered no real evidence and the stories they recalled were very vague. I want to always believe victims, but some people make it really hard. Every time someone does something like this to get back at someone, they are harming legitimate victims.
