• Shantae and the Pirate... - Hry
I'm currently in this level. That cage puzzle had been pissing me off. Can't believe the solution was so easy. Thanks for the help.
+Darkstar263 You're welcome! Glad to see the video helped. Thanks for watching too!
I had looked this up because I couldn't find what to do in the Oubliette after picking up the map. I had no idea I had to scimitar DOWN into the next floor... Thanks for sharing your playthrough!
Quite the interesting puzzle, that. Giving you the map to show you that there's no other path to take, forcing you to deduce there must be a hidden passage somewhere.
@@ShycoWar yeah but like how would you even know that. This is borderline nes cryptid great game otherwise im loving it
Gee, who could've guessed that Dagron was some kind of dragon?
😓🤦
Apparently, there's a fan theory that that guy who's only a silhouette is Shantae's own father
+Chris Dodds Interesting!
Charles Darwin I can see that being the case.
he is Shantae's father
@@borisnetwork dont just assume things please.the creators will tell us if that is the vase
im not, just a theory that it could be her father
Dagron pissed me off so very much
Me too
I like this game, but why does this level have such a huge difficulty spike?
this entire island is cheap as hell if you ask me.
This is the first time in the whole game i got frustrated especially watching the boss fight to make sure im doing it right and I'm literally doing the same thing and not once has he lowered himself
You think *this* is bad? Wait until the final level. Even after playing for *years,* I still haven’t gotten through it.
@@phreakout93 I know this is an old comment, but i think you have to hit him in the head for him to come down.
@@imagineumnomefoda500 i got there eventually but thanks
The dragon is acting much much differently on the Xbox One version. Every time I jump up to hit him, his head knocks me back and immediately crushes the pillars.
Wow, this is fucking crap. I'm doing the exact same movements and setups and the dragon is acting 1000% differently. Fought it for like 15 minutes until my items ran out. Hit the blocks, jump on pillar to hit, his head knocks me back, he crushes all pillars, proceeds to flame me multiple times as I try to hit the blocks, repeat exactly. I get maybe one or two small hits on him each time. Can't fathom why there's such a complete difference.
What I don't understand is how you can get Dagron to collapse in order to swipe him - I tried with the super pike ball and hair whipping but he just keeps on flying around...
Fucking preach brother
THIS IS ME RIGHT NOW!!
I know this is 5 years late buuut you’re meant to use those stalactites(stalagmitess?) as a platform to hit it’s head and then attack em’
This stupid island is my proof that Wayforward is a cult of pain vampires that feed off of human misery. I mean, It's literal Hell. (Not a profanity, just an observation.) I swear to God, I've died on this level more times than any one area in Dark Souls.
Why do so many people seem to have this opinion? I'd genuinely like to know...This was my favorite island in the entire game.
@@whisperstar13 you're clearly a masochist
@@phreakout93
Oh, no, I enjoy breathing very much, thank you. ;)
...I don't really know what "masochist" means, but I like the island because of what you learn about Rottytops while you're here, and because you meet someone who's implied to be Shantae's father. It's the first time in the entire game that something meaningful actually happens, and I appreciate and enjoy my time there for that reason.
Plus, I kind of like the imagery. I think it's a mark of her strong character that Shantae can say she literally went to Hell and back without it dampening her spirits in any way.
I love this game to bits.
Great music! Just wondering where I've possibly heard something similar before ;)
4:43 shantae is the new sanic xd
Sonic vs shante in a race
@@floofycupkim1197
in music, one could say that they are already rivals with castlevania. The 3 have the hard-fought position.
Dang I ended up skipping like half the dungeon because you can charge the boots by going back and forth on the steam version and I basically skipped part of the cage puzzle and went straight to the boss. Now I finished the dungeon with an extra key and its bothering me
I guess that she got Link's Pegasus boots.
Is there a way to get the row of pots at around 11:18 your first time there, or do you need another powerup for that?
Haha funny, Shantae's charge is much like Wario's :D
It reminds me more of sonic
@@floofycupkim1197 Its based on shinespark from Metroid.
@@slippy318 yea, definite Shinespark vibes
I know the scimitar doesn't act exactly like Scrooge McDuck's cane, but do the boots act lexactly like Samus's speed booster/shinespark i.e. Can you keep it going after a jump glide with the hat or temporarily store the charge to use for one big boost later?
You can keep it going after a jump glide yes, but you can't really store the charge.
*DEMOKNIGHT SCREAMING*
One, that move Shantae did withe boots of Risky Boots looks suspiciously like the shine spark from Metroid, and two, was she wearing the pirate bandanna while she was charging? I could swear I saw it while the charge was happening.
"Dagron the Nerd Spike-Tail Dragon"
This name doesn't make sense, but its because of his FUCKING SPIKE TAIL SWINGING AROUND THE AREA!
im having trouble with one of the heart squids, i cant find the remaining key to open the door at 7:02 does anyone know if there are more doors than there are keys?
with that speed, she could give Sonic the Hedgehog a run for his Rings.
1:23
I didnt know that i was just expected to know there would be a random place to down thrust to
also yea, this thing was the reason i had to search up a walkthrough (sad)
8:00 These look like stone monsters from Rayman 1.
So literally nobody is gonna show how to get that line of pots, huh. Greeeat.
You need to jump when you hit the small ramp right before and use the hat to get that small air boost. Alternatively you could use a pike ball then hit the dance button to suck up the gems.
@@scottydo5282wait you can SUCK UP GEMS???
Gets Risky Boots... boots. Allows you to use the Shinespark. Really? *facepalms*
7:53 I hate this part
1:22 WTF WAS THAT
