12:40 onwards was my favorite part. Love the Greenery.
Deze remises heb ik met mijn vader vaak bezocht, ik weet de beheerder nog in Scheveningen...zat ook bij de HTM drumband, jammer dat daar geen materiaal van bestaat!!

This was frightening to watch what has become of Holland. Tramlines on very narrow streets and far too many ugly skyscrapers. Where did you hide Scheveningen? I couldn't recognize any of it.
Narrow streets are indeed a problem on line 12, one of the busiest routes. With very narrow streets, the line found its origin in the 1900's. When streets didn't have to be that wide, even for trams. (Tip: search for "Haags Gemeentearchief" and type in: "Regentesselaan")
Whatever this is, it is extremely clean!

Are the tracks in the grass older than the street tracks?
Not particularly. Grass is aesthetically more pleasing and more environmentally friendly. For example; it helps to prevent flooding after heavy rainfall and doesn't attract as much heat as asphalt does which makes the city cooler.

The trailing point switches(the ones at the end of the switch set) are they snap points. You go though the are the tram pushes them open?
Probably spring switches? We have the same at our railway museum.

This must have been a Sunday morning with so little traffic and few passengers.
It is actually in the evening: at 19:34 ( Houtrust stop ) the clock on the electronic board says 20:40 or 22:40. It's a bit hard to dechifer, but increasing resolusion to max helps a lot. Other indicators: lot of parked cars along the roads, and the lighting is evenig light as we know it just a couple of hours before sunset.
edit: reply from HTM5000: dat moet ongeveer rond de klok van 20:30 uur geweest zijn. So it was 20:40 at Houtrust!
Just when I thought at 5:00 I bet there are accidents with those cars parked in tbe middle a car pulls out at 5:04! Such a bad design!
It was probably done to get the maximum amount of parking space in a small area as they also have the platform in the middle.

This is a not in service route from depot Lijsterbes to depot Scheveningen. No one wants to go to the depot nor is it allowed ;)

Gaat automatisch via sensoren of de binnendienst doet ze open of dicht. Alleen de deuren die bij 1:03 te zien zijn, moet handmatig open en dicht gedaan worden.
