- If you have some wrapping foil or saran wrap at home, be creative with a special painting technique! In this video I like to show you how to paint an enduro MTB frame with wrapping foil. The result is an interesting carbon pattern on this enduro mtb carbon frame. MARTIN

Why use the word foil instead of wrap? Because it is easier to find in CZcams and Google search and more people can watch it.
Hi!
@Hayes Otis This has nothing to do with the painting techniques in this video. Go somewhere else with your SCAMS!
@Stetson Lewis nice second account
we call it Cling Film, not foil or wrap , in UK. Great vid )
It looks like forged carbon. Super cool idea and execution.
Forged Carbon oO?
I thoroughly enjoy watching you create such beautifully painted frames.
WOW you blowned my mind!!! That's look's even more than amazing!!!
Martin, I just love watching your video's. You do amazing jobs and I love your humour. I crack myself when I listen to what you say. Love it.
the detail in those logos is amazing, I wouldn't think it would be possible to get it so clean and perfectlookingwith paint and masking tape.. Great work on another beautiful paintjob!!
Opens up a whole world of ideas as well . A piece of leather maybe effective as well . Great helpful and inspiring videos you do my friend :) thank you
Fantastic...great work and amazing editing. Thanks for sharing your process but also all the hard work and lengths you go to editing these videos for us. All the very best Andy
Another great job Martin thanks for sharing.
Splendid! Realy love silver and copper color contrast on a bike.
Amazing work!
I have been looking for a cool way to paint my old GT, and I think I have found it. Thanks for posting this.
Another masterpiece!!!!
For Q&A: Please show us how you prep the frame Martin. We know it's boring but it is such a crucial step of the whole paint job.
slick paint job, dude!
this looks awesome
Wonderful work 🙌
another great paint job and very useful video thx Martin :)
Martin, Du bist so talentiert.
amazing paint job
i've done it and it looks amazing!!
Absolutely beautiful skill set
Love the idea, I'm definitely will try it out.

Woow excellent paint job so great , you are a master greatings from Mexico
Another Amazing Video !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice work 🙂👍🏻👍🏻
Hi
FANTASTIC. I just finished applying the same effect with metallic gold over satin black. I am very pleased with the effect. I went for a slightly different effect to allow more of the base colour (black) to show through. It was easy, you just wrinkle the foil into a smaller size then press into the paint and when you remove it from the paint you stretch it out tight and you end up with a growing mineral structure appearance.
Thanks again so much for your inspiriation

Did you sand in between ?
@@marcelopajueloarteaga814
Of coarse, and also sanded the gold also to reduce the stepped effect of the clear coats. This also softened the gold effect so that it didn’t jump out that strongly. I was going for subtlety.
@@frankkiss3701hello dear need a help could you guide me for some problems
I’ll try to help.
@@frankkiss3701 i have problem with stencils some time it lift the base coat. It is necessary to spray a clear coat over base before spraying stencils or can directly paste stencils and spray them over base coat ?
Felicitaciones usted es uno de los mejores
Wow ..... i thought , here’s a quick spray job , I’ll watch a minute .... but it was done so well i watched the whole video . Very impressive video editing , and the end result was equally impressive !! Well done 👍
Beautiful, it's even easier than painting into solid color, as imperfections aren't that noticeable. 👍
ART..............................................SUPER SKILL CRAFTSMAN👍🎬❤️
That was awsome. So good in fact I feel I could do too. I love the blue peg boards.
sun burnt nah you probably can’t
great video thanks i am familiar with these ' mottled' finishes, its something we were seeing in the show/custom car scene several years ago.. it was very cool to see it applied in real time sort of to a bike frame i will probably try this when it is time to restore/ refresh my CF Devinci ;-)
Pretty awesome, I could imagine it sprayed with a candy red after the silver foil.
Color Genius!
Your work looks so great, I wouldn't dare to drive.😅
This is art!
👏👏
Oh but he wants you to show off his work by driving it around! When people ask where you got it done, you can refer them to him!

In your workshop, frames float in the air. It's magic!
i just finished my bike with very similar colors, its a great idea.
Holy sh*t that is just magnificent!
Absolutely rad video!
Will do this to my Niner RLT steel bike comes fall. Right now I do not wish to be without it, but after the summer I think I could manage to be without it for maybe 2 weeks while doing this. Will paint about half of the frame (back end) silver, and the front end black with silver decor like this. Will also, completely shamelessly, copy the color of the logos, but will order pre cut vinyl stickers instead of doing the graphics using spray cans. I know, simple solution, and perhaps not 100% as good looking. But way less chance of me messing it up!
Like your Videos very interesting THX amazing work also like the way you explain the topic
love it!
good job!
You are awesome!
Would love to see the full shop. Are those just a random set of LEDs behind the peg board. Whatever it is, it looks great!
Nice flame! ;)
thank you, great job
Muy Buen Trabajo
Yes yes I LIKE IT!
I love this video
*thinking*

thats cool AF.
Im trying this for sure! My new favourite channel im watching all your videos hahaha also What happened to you social media pages? I just looked and nothing. I would really like to see a closer look at this design if you have the footage :)
Haha,Paint wizardry 😍😎
Only I can say is Waaaaoooow😍😍😍🤙
I wish to see the build of that bike , or just the finished bike , cool paint job ...
very good
Sehr geil 🤙
This dude's magnetic
Looks great, curious how he got the marbled effect on the slab he used for the wrap though, would like to do a paintjob like this but not sure how to make the texture to transfer onto the foil aka wrap
Thanks for videos :) how did you get such a nice straight line on the edges of the gold? Is it the masking tape or the brown paper that stops paint bleeding through the lines?
The frame is good
Always fantastic results. You’re a magister in the replies here, too 😂
Hey, looks really good!! I like your works more understanding how much love you put into it. By the way, what kind of a clear : Matt???
And how do you solve a problem of a stairs , which appears when you take the masking film off( in this case letters). A gold paint has some thickness and you can see that it stands a bit higher on the edges...how you make the surface smooth using gloss clear?
Hi Etoe
I love all your videos. You have such great ideas and perfect execution.
I am painting my mountain bike at the moment and planning to apply gold paint foiled over black satin.
I am completing the project with spray cans and have some questions please.
1. I love the metallic mineral growth pattern, but do you have any ideas how I might allow for more black to show through (i.e. less gold on the frame)?
2. Once I have applied the foiled paint, would you recommend sanding and if so, with wet rub or scourer?
3. Would you recommend gloss or matt 2K clear as the finishing coat.
Thanks for your help and keep the fantastic videos coming.
Frank (Australia)
U are magic man:))
Very' very' nice..... 😎😎😎😎
Parabéns 👏🤙
good idea :-)
Hi, have you got a video that goes thru the basics, what grit paper do you use for first prep, then after primer & do you wet sand between top coats & clear coat? Thanks
awesome work! what o you think of doin the wrap paint on a black frame, and then give a layer or 2 of candy color. then some clearcoat ?
best regards.
Like this video to help this talented guy out 🙏
Question for your next Q/A session :
Can you tell us about a good brand for spray can clear coat?
It seems that spray cans are generally lower grade, compared to the paints you use with your spray gun.
Great job.
All the best.
The airbrush he uses is definitely better. A spray can is really just a portable airbrush. The real thing is always better.
Unglaublich danke dafür👍🏻
Gr8 video. When U applying foil do U need to keep spray board with more paint? Cheers Graham
Hello,
Thank you for your video it's amazing what you do !
What is the model and name's brand of your printer machine that you use for make your stencil and your stickers ?
Thank you by advance for your help
How do you level the logo paint with the base colour? You sand it between clear coats or before the clear?
lavoro stupendo
Hi Etoe.. Great work as always! I take it you aren't using water base paints for this. But rather the older solvent/oil base paint.
Appreciate the lessons! How do make paint have the cracked effect? I did a florescent green with gunmetal topcoat that cracked and it looked great. I don't remember how to do it. Can you help?
Can you also use a spraycan as the printing color? And can i use this technique on black primer or what should i do to start with a black frame? You gave the the inspiration to spray a frame myself!
