The virtue of Kursi verse
Abu Huraira said: "Once the Prophet - may God's blessings and peace be upon him and his family - instructed me to preserve the zakat collected in the month of Ramadan. During this time, a person came to me and began to scoop up the food and put it in a bowl. I grabbed him and said: "By God, I will definitely take you to the Prophet." He begged: "I need this, I have a burden, I also really need this food," and I let him go.
The next day, the Prophet asked me: "O Abu Huraira! What did your captive do? I said: "O Messenger of God! He complained to me that he was both needy and burdened. That's why I felt sorry for him and let him go." The Prophet said: "He lied to you and he will come back again." I knew that he would return, because the Prophet had said: "...he will return again." So I lay in wait for him. He came again and started scooping the food into his bowl. I grabbed him and said: "I will definitely take you to the Prophet." He begged and said: "Let me go! Indeed, I need it and I have a burden. I promise I won't come back here again." I felt sorry for him and I let him go again.
The next day, the Prophet asked me: "O Abu Huraira! What did the prisoner you captured yesterday do?" I said: "O Messenger of God! He complained to me that he was both needy and burdened. That's why I felt sorry for him and let him go." The Prophet said: "He lied to you and he will come back again." I lay in wait for him for the third time. He came again and started scooping the food into his bowl. I caught him and said: "I will definitely take you to the Prophet." It's the third time you promise not to come back, and then you come back." He begged and said: "If you let me go, I will teach you such words that God will benefit you through them." I asked: "What is that word?" He said: "When you lie down on your bed, read the Kursu verse - "Allah, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Guardian of all His creations..." (Al-Baqara Surah 255) - until the end. If you do this, until you wake up in the morning, a guardian angel appointed by God will stand by you and the devil will not approach you. I let him go again.
The next morning, the Prophet asked me: "What did the prisoner you captured yesterday do?" I said: "O Messenger of God! He said, God willing, he would teach me words that would be useful to me, and I let him go." The Prophet asked: "What is it?" I said: "He told me that when he lay down on his bed, read the verse of Kursu - "Allah, there is no god but Him, the Eternal Living, the Guardian of all His creations..." - from the beginning to the end. If you do this, until you wake up in the morning, a guardian angel appointed by God will stand by you and the devil will not approach you. The Companions were the people who were most eager to do good deeds. The Prophet said: "He told you the truth, but he himself is a liar. Do you know who you have been talking to for three nights, O Abu Huraira?" When I answered: "No!", the Prophet said: "It was Satan!" (al-Bukhari, 2311).
Auuzu billahi mine-sh-shaitaani-r-rajiim:
Almighty God says: "Allaahu laa ilaaha illaa huwa-l-hayyu-l-gayyuum. Laa ta'khuzuhuu sinatuv-wala nauvvvvm. Lahuu maa fis-samaawaati wa maa fil-ard. Mannn zallazii yashfau' i'ndahuu illaa bi-iznih . l-Aziim". (al-Baqara, 255).
Meaning: "Allah, there is no god but Him, the (eternal) Living, the Sustainer (of all His creations). He neither slumbers nor sleeps. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Who can take refuge with Him without His permission? He , knows the future and the past. They cannot perceive anything except what He wills. It is not difficult for Him to preserve these things."
