You know, as we come to the end of this phase of our life,
we find ourselves trying to remember the good times
and trying to forget the bad times,
and we find ourselves thinking about the future.
We start to worry , thinking, "What am I gonna do?
Where am I gonna be in ten years?"
But I say to you, "Hey, look at me!"
Please, don't worry so much.
Because in the end, none of us have very long on this Earth.

Yes you write truth. And it hurts like hell because there's so much that my heart desires to achieve in this life time yet it seems like there's always unexpected obstacles. Robin Williams' speech is so true. And every time I watch this video, my heart releases tears and encouragement.

I am a 43 yr old man. Hairy chest, plenty of tattoos and testosterone, scars from injuries and plenty of knocked teeth from life..... and as I sit here listening to this, I am crying.... yes a grown middle aged man 😞 why robin why? There are millions of us who have helped you just like you always manage to lift us from our despair....
I agree he left us without knowing us.
He could have asked for help and gave us love not tears.
But he will always be remembered

Sadly, he had early Parkinson’s but more importantly Lewy Body Dementia for which there is no treatment. In an interview with his wife, she said he knew he had it, yet still was paranoid, hallucinating, hearing voices, but also having periods of clarity. She believes he took his life while it was still in his control to do so.

When Robbin Williams passed away I felt like I lost a family member he brought so much joy to me and many people’s lifes. He was a great man with a gentle soul. RIP TO A LEGEND ❤️

Being a Comedian for over 15 and battling depression for most of my life i knew the day it happened why it happened. Everyone was quick to blame it on drugs. In one way it was. It was the drug of the limelight and the feeling you get when just for awhile you are somebody.When the lights come on and your foot hits the stage it's showtime and for the next 30 minutes, hour or ever how much time you do you are somebody. Your looking out seeing the laughter getting your fix for the night. It's your high but then just like other drugs when you've done your thing the lights go down and you take that first step back off stage is when the low sets back in because for the next 23 hours your just you again. No one special and most of the time alone. They are a lot of Comedians who suffer from this problem. We love the light and find the darkness hard to handle and i believe the bigger the light you are the darkness is so much more frightening and Robin was the brightest light. A comic Genius.
How can I miss someone SO much for whom I have never met?

i listen to this in memory of my grandfather 12 years ago we lost him. he was spectacular a tank commander. chief electrical engineer, miner, mayor of wivenhoe in essex and a counsellor. he was wacky and wonderful he bought so many smiles to my family he encouraged the weird and unusual he encouraged me to be an individual to be myself. i now care for people and use his lesson to make them happy to make them smile and laugh even for a momeny

I actually got Frickin tears watching this. Robin was one of my favorite actors, and as sillynas he was he sure knew how to make me cry. Especially at the ending of Alladin and Mrs. Doubfire. When I was 9 and my mom told me that he passed away it destroyed my heart. But Robin would want everyone to stay happy instead of grieving. Even though he's gone his memory will carey on. R.I.P Robin Williams.
I like to think Robin chose his film scripts to show his own humanity. If this is so, he was an amazing human. Sorely missed by many who loved his film work, but the films were just a scriptwriters thoughts. Robin was a very clever man in his own right, his stand up observational comedy showed his integrity. I really miss Robin. Good guys with a good heart are scarce nowadays. Very unfair for a guy like him to be afflicted with Lewy Body Dementia. His films, and these clips, are a lasting legacy to remind us of his integrity. Thanks for sharing. x

Robin Williams was so much more than being a comedian. And he personally struggled with depression and drug and alcohol addiction, and he wasn't perfect, I'm sure there were times when he drove the people around him nuts, but still, what an AMAZING guy!!! It's so sad how he died, but you know, we have to remember him for the way he lived. He was NOT afraid to take risks or be vulnerable, and he probably knew there were times when people just thought he was acting stupid rather than funny, but he didn't let that stop him!!! We're NOT going to forget him, and he still lives on in some of the great movies he did, as well as some crazy Mork and Mindy reruns!
I wish he was still around to witness the SPECTACULAR work he left behind in "Aladdin" is FINALLY being done in a live-action movie!😢 ALWAYS LOVE when it comes to you, my hero, Mr. Robin Williams...R.I.P.❤️

Still tear up when I see/hear this. From the start he had me hooked. This brilliant funny man made me laugh more than anything. Ours lives are better that he was here. Patch Adam's is my go to movie when I am feeling depressed. It gives me so much hope but also shows how fleeting life is. When he is reading her the poem over her casket is my favourite moment. Showing the love we give to people even when they are gone. That's all we have now. These tears and the memories that he gave us. Robin wherever you are I hope you know how much we all miss you. ❤
