How to run and use Llama3 from Meta Locally. It only takes a couple of minutes to get this up and running on your computer. You can use Windows as I've done in this quick tutorial, Mac or Linux.
We use Ollama to download and run the LLM locally on our computer.

This gives us a speed advantage. The model performs faster locally than online (depending on your hardware).
THIS IS BEGINNER FRIENDLY. You will have to open Powershell and paste in a command, but then it behaves just like ChatGPT or Gemini or any other chat based LLM that you may have already interacted with.
