Hard to tell from a chair in my living room, but the car didn’t look like the RF shock was on the car the way it bounced going into 3. I bet it was a handful to drive like that. Talan did a great job salvaging what he did. Don’t compare yourself to Chase. He got a brand new car. Yours is great for learning on. With learning comes a few ups and a lot of challenges. Y’all will figure it out. Pulling for our boy.
Yeah that was just a different set of shocks to throw at it… wasn’t the right move for sure. We are not really comparing anything to anybody. Just working on our own stuff to make it as good as possible. This car should be better than what we have it right now. We will get it figured out!

Yeah man that thing was spot on!
Man I know the results of 11th don't feel like it but I think Talan drove a really good race and showed a lot of progression in this vid. You could tell early on when he hit those ruts in 3, and he tried a different line next time by, but unfortunately the car was slower up there so he had to just find a new line through the holes in the track. That's a smart move. He dodged a bunch of wrecks that could have made your night A LOT worse. Middle of the race you could tell he was overdriving it a bit when the car went backwards but I think he started realizing it and started calming down a bit and slowing up his entry into 1 so he could stay down low where the grip was. Another smart move. There was some tight racing throughout this one with restarts and he played them all really calm and didn't over drive the car.
I know up here in NY the crate cars are all so close that you CANNOT have a bad qualifying attempt or heat race if you want to do well in the feature. They are really dependent on a good starting spot, if you get mid pack to start it's tough to come up through there. Part of it and I think this was a better week than you realize based on what I said above. Some good seat time and progression from that young man IMO. Good job Dad, keep on truckin.

Talan did a great job at avoiding those wrecks, Hope you guys figure out the crate car but man that super looked great! Can’t wait for more super late model racing! I just ordered 4 Tshirts, will you guys have any 955 shirt or hoodies? I’d love to buy a few!

Close your eyes and listen to… hear that??? The super brings back memories of the old days, like 1989-90 riverside speedway. I was 15 , I will never forget that sound of the old late models..

Not bad for a fellow that doesnt have a liscence to drive on the highways yet ,and hes able to give drivers with way more seat time a run for it!

Definitely has lack of speed he is trying everywhere to try to keep up. U got this you will find the issue. Laps laps are always good. Be safe hope all is well saw the weather not to good. Motor issues can't say much in regards to as its tough to hone in on with the sound distortion but heres some thoughts. Not sure the age of the ignition system but the new style digital boxes have a really short life to run optimally. Also could be the coil on its way out and not getting full joules of spark.
As for the car setup the car defintely is lacking drive there. The LR is extremely stiff and doesnt appear to ever transfer any load back to the LR to apply traction off the corner. Check your extended loads if your trying to run a higher extended load to keep him up on the bars you may be need to go softer spring rate so you can still settle into the LR off the corner but still have the unsprung load to get on the bars.
You may have have a bind forming under dynamic travel causing the car to almost get stuck during load transfers. Check the timing on the heims and and bar alignments at dynamic hike.
I know Cade helps alot with your shocks discuss with him what he likes to see in a scotch load. When the track slicks off reduce the static load but install a rubber or 2 so that you can maintain the scotch load in the RR.
Thanks for the info… the shocks and springs in the feature are not even set for our car. We just wanted to try their xr1 stuff and it was way off. Definitely some good points here. Thank you

He really likes the super. He said it’s easier to drive to him. We are racing at Magnolia Motor Speedway June 14th & 15th.
Yeah kind of sucks when you can't get the car to do what you want it to but you made it through the race without tearing the car up and you got to finish it you'll get it figured out talan look pretty good in the super looking forward to him running some super races but good luck have fun be safe and take care

Talan looked great in the super but I’m afraid the crate car needs to go to Black Diamond and be put on the jig! I feel like the chassis is bent from when he tore the rear end out of it. Just my opinion

A cheap attempt with a crate motor is valve springs in my area.
But not sure what your rules are. Just my thawt from experience with them. That and timing. Just my guess

If we do need a motor the owner is more than willing to buy one. I just don’t like spending unnecessary money if we can find a solution to the one we have.

His car looked like a rabbit jumping up-n- down going down the back streatch. Maybe change the MSD box. It could be failing ever so slightly. Hey bub atleast you finished another race. Got some great seat time. It'll turn around just keep on grinding.

It’s me again Margaret for one I don’t like red clay tracks cause they all are like the way that one was some call it one laner I call it rubber racing I hate it even the ones that are here in Mississippi are the same way if there’s not a lot of traffic on the track it’s ok but if it’s a high car count then it’s not good. Y’all got it I’m gonna say it’s gonna be something simple or a very small change BUT y’all got it y’all will figure it out. My wife was wondering if y’all was gonna make Haley Bug shirts cause she wonts one.

Thats what sucks about racing. When your suckin you dont wanna race but need to race to get back balanced. When your good you wanna race but not so much your tear ya stuff up.

Looks to me like your RR shock is needs checked.. Car is bouncing WAY to much.
That was a complete different set than we usually run! Only ran that one time and pulled them
