- In April of 2021, Mark Peterson traveled to the Orange Free State of South Africa for a plains game safari using the new Skuhl .375 Ruger from Gunwerks. Day one of the trip is packed with opportunity and Mark is able to take a giant Sable, followed up with a Black Impala and a Lechwe. The guide and PH, Jason Stone also learns a thing or two about using a camera. Check in next week for the conclusion of this hunt and see what else Mark can turn up.

good hunting trophy mark nice hunting videos.
Thanks, it was a Giant Sable.
I just back last November and was lucky enough to take a 44’ Sable myself. We chased him for 6 days.
Congrats, that’s a big Sable.
They are endangered species ,don't hunt them 😢
This would be such a cool animal to hunt
It was fun.
Awesome day for you. The Sable is beautiful and impressive.
The Lechwe looked huge. What did he measure ?

I never thought of Sable as Plains Game. More Woodland/Miombo terrain.
And what is a Lechwe doing so far from the water?
Am I missing something here about the different habitats?
The impala would be my dream to take
That impala was so cool.
I’m not educated on this topic but if it’s like regular hunting words regulating the population ETC then cool but if this is just one of those savanna hunts they are only able to do because you paid extra money to avoid the laws and that’s just some loser shit I never understood how humans rather kill and take a life or poach compared to even just watch the animals in it’s natural state….always boggled my mind how Shitty some people can be….But I’m also not a tree hugger and support hunting as a whole so if this is one of those situations than cool I’m just not gonna go look into it to find out
.375 for PG? WTH! I have been on 2 PG African safaris and dropped everything (zebra, impala, blesbok, kudu, blue wildebeest and springbok) on the spot with my .270.
Literally gave you the easiest ranch to hunt on down there. It’s just open plains 😂 Smh like picking fish out of a barrel.
Those animals are not meant to be hunted specially because they are nearly extinct :(
Ofc the usual suspects
Shooting from a vehicle? Canned hunt at its very best.
