Another thing you should be careful about is the swampert matchup. your team has no reliable way to threaten one, and a variant with earthquake and icebeam would have soloed half your team
I enjoyed this discussion. Registeel is pretty cool. GG on the replay. It was looking dicey but you made some moves and pulled through. I know the feeling of "oh I'm gonna build this cool team" only to find that pert walls my whole team lmao.
I was like "Yeah, I think I've seen this guy before,I think I've seen that profile picture before but I can't put a finger on it" but then I learned that you're the guy who made the super library for 3s and really what happened man,you have significantly less subs than I remember....I was really looking forward to a Remy video(ps: I am competitive singles fan too and nice choice of meta,let adv be revived)
Most consistent set I've found is counter, s toss, t wave, and boom. With max HP and SPD and 8 or 16 into attack. He's able to countertrap a dug or mag. Good partners include zard, lax, mence and jirachi (the later two using wish support) I find myself using registeel as a secondary special sponge to snorelax or regice on teams lacking bliss. He does great on boom offense. He's a very honest bulky steel type that can 1v1 physical staples while walling and disrupting special threats. It's just important to explode on those 101 health sub users to allow a clean entry for an answer.
Have you considered counter on the moveset? I think it’s great for registeel when you know a physical attack is coming and puts the opponent into an awkward spot. I lowkey think curse doesn’t actually get much value at times but I guess it can work too. Also I think you should put HP grass on zap I think having a swampert check is absolute necessity.
