    What happens if the tank is currently doing the work but the valvehead was accidentally detached? Last night, it happened and our brine tank was overflowing with water. Almost the whole area was full with water.

      Hi Scott, that's not one that we have had first-hand experience with, as it's not the typical model we use. However, we are going to try source one, and if we can we will try to get a video up on its programming as well.

    • @semiusefulinformation144
      @semiusefulinformation144 Před 3 lety

      That doesn't sound correct, it could be the control board or just something jamming the mechanism inside. If you're based in South Africa www.filtershop.co.za can send it in for repairs for you. I would take it off and check if you can see if there is something in the mechanism that might be interfering first.

    Hi, I have two of these tanks with the automatic backwash system. But mine makes a noise every 30 mins for about 10 seconds. Why is that?

    • @FilterShopZa
      @FilterShopZa  Před 5 měsíci

      That is very frequent, as normally you would set it to only cycle every few days. Check the drain side to see if there isn't water leaking past the seals when you hear the noise.

    Kindly explain. The back wash outlet pipe at the back how its connected and where it leads.

    • @FilterShopZa
      @FilterShopZa  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Hi, The backwash would normally run to he drain or to the garden if possible. It is where the dirt that is captured by the media is released.

      Please don't be offended
      Last time i told you that i had a raw deal from puritech where i bought the eco 2000GPD machine. They dont even respond to my questions.
      Unfortunately i am in Zambia.
      Last question.:
      What can cause the machine to produce more water from the drainage than the purified water thats going into the final tank?

      @semiusefulinformation144 Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@joshuachisanga8417 Hi, That is normal on RO if you have a higher mineral content source water. You can adjust the product water to waste water ration to improve this but you need to keep an eye on the product water mineral content as if it starts to climb then you don't have enough waste water to clean the membrane.

    • @FilterShopZa
      @FilterShopZa  Před 8 měsíci

      @@semiusefulinformation144, Here a video showing the components, you adjust the ratio with the valve on the drain side of the membrane. czcams.com/video/QMfhe1pvykc/video.html

    Sir How to do manually backwash

    • @darrenryall1995
      @darrenryall1995 Před 2 lety +1

      To manually run through the backwash cycle, you will want to unlock the valve head, by holding down the up & down buttons till there is a beep, and the key icon disappears.
      Then simply press the “enter” button, the second button from the left.
      You will hear the valve head’s motor start to turn, and a -00- code will show at first. After which a countdown clock will become visible, counting down as the valve head goes through the various cycles (backwash, and fast rinse).
      During all these cycles, the drain will run, and there will be no “product” water being produced by the system.
      You will know when the valve head has completed all the cycles, as the green bars on the left of the screen will start to flash again, the drain will stop, and the system will start to produce water from the product side.

    Hi. who here has one of this showing E1 error?

    • @darrenryall1995
      @darrenryall1995 Před 3 lety +2

      Hi,
      Typically an "E1" error means that there is a fault with the pc board inside of the valve head. This can be caused by something like an electrical surge or moisture getting inside of valve head. So you will need to either replace the pc board inside the valve head or replace the valve head itself if the replacement pc board is not available.

      Hi,
      It would depend on several different factors:
      What size vessel are you currently using (liters or inches)?
      What Media are you using (Sand, Glass Media, Birm, Carbon, etc)?
      What are you trying to remove from the water, dirt or chlorine, or something else?
      What type of source water are you using (municipal or borehole)?
      Have you had the turbidity levels in the water tested?
