@@JustinPiercee they went viral back in 2014 when they were just little kids with a cover of enter sandman which is what started it all. then in 2021 metallica invited them to do a cover of enter sandman for their blacklist album which they did a version with a canadian pop singer named alessia cara and also have an official video for that. then the live version from teatro is just awesome!!! i think it would be fun if you did all 3 in one reaction video!!!! if you want i can also get you the links.

The Warning has such stage presence because they have been playing concerts for 10 years (and the youngest is only 18 years old! Here is you lesson on The Warning-
The Warning is a band of 3 sisters. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra. They live in Monterrey, Mexico and have been rocking out as a band since 2012 (when they were 12, 10, and 7 years old)! Their parents loved music and they grew up watching and listening to rock concerts. Daniela (Dany) and Paulina (Pau) attended a music initiation class when they were 5 and 3 respectively. Alejandra (Ale’) attended the same class when she was old enough. They loved it. They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old. When Dany was 7 their dad bought them the Rock Band video game and they absolutely fell in love with rock music and performing on stage…. even though it was just a game. When Dany was 8 years old her dad asked her if she wanted to learn another instrument, along with piano. She chose the guitar. Pau chose the drums when she was 6, and Ale’ chose the bass at 6 (but was too small to play it until she was 7). Ale’ had been playing bass for about 1 month when they decided to play together and that was when the band was formed.
Note- their parents never pushed them to do this. This project was 100% the girl’s decision. Their parents completely supported them but never pushed them.
In 2014 they made a video to send to their grandparents to show them how they had progressed in their playing. The video was too big to just email so their dad uploaded it onto CZcams. It was a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman and it went viral! To date it has well over 24 million views and was shouted out by Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, as well as many other famous bands. The girls were caught off guard completely by the attention this video got and they had to make a decision- they quit school and started homeschooling in order to devote as much time as possible to their music. They were 100% committed to this project and have never slowed down since (practicing 2 hours a day separately and another 2 hours together daily).
In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was a mix of different kinds of songs as they sorted out their musical style.
They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood).
They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for and won many Independent Music awards in 2019.
They just released (in 2022) their third album (first since signing to Lava Records) called Error. It is simply amazing!
Dany sings lead on about 75% if the songs. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing!
They have opened for several great bands including Alice Cooper, Def Leopard, Stryper, The Foo Fighters, The Pretty Reckless, Halestorm, Three Days Grace, Guns n Roses, and Muse. They are now touring the world playing festivals and headlining concerts of their own.

Bonus- In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists (including The Warning) to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was also asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico. Great overview of the band. I would add The Killers to the list that they opened for and I would mention the many months they spent negotiating with LAVA for what they wanted. Including reading the damn contract and asking questions about it in which the LAVA lawyers apparently said "They read the contract?!" Also, a blurb about David Bendeth and that whole process. Love that you added Enter Sandman from the Teatro Metropolitan. 🤘🏽

@@JustinPiercee They are un Europe right now opening for Muse for 4 shows (after opening for them for 4 show in Mexico earlier this year). Muse is their absolute idols and to be asked by Muse to open for them in their European tour is a dream come true for The Warning!

Every song from The Warning needs to be reviewed with the lyrics, innate message & back story, if available. Because they are the most intellectual band to emerge in decades. Their profound metaphorical songwriting on contemporary society sets them apart from the crowd. So you can always read what the band says about their songs during your reviews.
This song is about how social media controls us with fabricated info. Pau, the drummer, got inspired about the main riff in a Canadian supermarket in 2019. She came home, composed the song on her piano including the bass intro and called her sisters. They were 19, 17 & 14 then. Their age of composing the song & playing it in public should be noted too in reviews.
That is why Dany, guitarist, starts the song as an antagonist with "The sun is YOUR enemy today" while Pau picks it up as a disciple in the 2nd verse with "The sun is MY enemy today". The sisters trade off lead vocals as demanded by the script. Its unfortunate that in this video they don't zoom on Pau more when she is singing lead. You can make out the difference in their vocal textures. Ale, the bassist, mainly harmonizes in the lower frequencies with infrequent falsettos as required by the song.
The Warning are masters in composing in minor scales. Quite often they introduce a full sequence of major chords for the same verse to break the monotony. And that downward bend in vocals you are talking about is typically The Warning with this progression G Bb E A G#m . I mean G & G#m in the same sequence - are you kidding me?
Among their 3 full albums & 2 EPs the girls have published a concept album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene where they have mused over unrequited love, death, self harm, suicide & lunacy. Pau was in middle school going through her emo phase when she tabled the 1st draft in front of her sisters. Just to keep it in context, five decades back Roger Waters dealt with death, lunacy & depression in The Dark Side of the Moon.
Dive into their rabbit hole that stretches back more than a decade to when they were playing classical piano as 6-8 year olds. Its all on YT. They have practically grown up on social media. After watching your reaction I am confident that you won't be disappointed. Happy diving from Kolkata, India.

I've seen a bunch of first-time reaction videos to The Warning. This is a great song and performance to cut your teeth on! One thing you didn't mention, that others have found shocking, is the lead vocals by the drummer Pau. Suggest you have another look at the second pre-chorus. Pau sings the lead vocal - perfectly! - while playing an 8-bar, 16th note crescendo - also perfectly! - starting out on the snare drum but she goes around the kit at the end. I'm an ex-drummer. What she does here is amazing!
One thing I love about this band is their performance quality. Yes they play well, sing well, but they have amazing stage presence. Pau and Dany especially just slay with amazing energy, attitude and style. And Ale is the cool chill vibe to balance it out. Lol.

Welcome to the wonderful world of The Warning! As I'm sure you will find out soon - their fanbase The Warning Army is a large, diverse, and loyal group and we love welcoming new members. There will be others here to fill you in on all the important details about them, so I'll just focus on a request. In 2014 they got their first big break when they uploaded a video of them performing Enter Sandman to CZcams for their grandparents to see and it ended up going viral (currently over 24 million views). In 2021 they were invited to join Canadian Pop singer Alessia Cara to record a song for Metallica's Blacklist album. The instructions from Metallica were to stay true to the lyrics, but turn the music upside down, inside out, rearrange it, and make it your own. Naturally they chose Enter Sandman. In one week during the Pandemic, their producer got down to Monterrey, they completely stripped down the song to it's roots, built it back up as a pop song for Alessia, and then added The Warning rock sound to it. All in one week, they re-wrote, composed, recorded, and mixed the entire song. It is nothing like the original, and to many people it is better than the original in many aspects. It is now one of their favorite songs to play live, and they have further modified it to be a little heavier and fit with their style.
So, the suggestion is a triple play. Start with the straight cover in 2014 (when they were 14, 12, and 9 years old by the way), followed by the official video of Enter Sandman in 2021 with Alessia Cara, and then their performance of it at this same concert Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022. Welcome to the GREATEST power trio in rock today! And they are ALL GEN Z, all SISTERS, and from mexico (completely bilingual... fluent in english and spanish without accents at all). They write all their own music. They have been a band pretty much their entire lives (particularly the bassist, Alejandra, who was in grade 4 when they went to Berklee school of music in Boston and then had to go in the recording studio for their first EP and, shortly after, started playing festivals, making tv appearances, and then wrote, recorded and released their first full album (XXI Century Blood... check out the official music videos from that album, there are at least two, and a bunch of amazing live performances of all the songs)... all before The bassist was a teenager!)
Wow they've been at it hard touring and performing by the sounds of it, good on them for bringing something new to the table, there will be plenty more of them on here for sure

Duuuuude, just saw the band last night in Berlin at Hole 44. I never thought they'd make it to Germany and then without having to see them at a bloody festival!! This promotion gig, for a fantastic price, and pretty much a private party was like Holy Fuckkkkk!!!!
Many people knew the lyrics as the ladies spread their charm amongst us. I've been following them for a year saying I'll never see them until it's stadium time, but easily had that Badass ticket to Hole 44.
My friend and I are 60ish and have seen Rock and know Rock. These ladies ROCKED BERLIN and all I can say is thank you for the grin going home. We're friggin hooked...

I am an OG rocker that has been going to rock concerts for over 40 years and I have not seen a band this incredible in decades. You are in for a treat! The oldest is only 23 yet they already have a EP and 3 full albums of originals (all but 2 in English, their second language), and not a bad song in the bunch! More Please!

Welcome aboard! The Warning is INSANELY good. They’re on a world tour, right now. In fact, they opened for Muse, tonight, in Plymouth, UK. They’re super original and have an extensive catalog of 50 or so original songs on 3 albums, 2 EPs and several singles. Anything you listen to is going to be incredible. This pair of concerts at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX is EXCEPTIONAL. The group is very reactor friendly, however their label does guard the official music videos a little bit, so exercise the proper cautions and those are fine. Anyhow. These 3 sisters are the nicest, most humble rockstars you will ever meet.
They will return on June 26th to play O2 Islington to finish off their European tour. I will again be there. Get your tickets as there is nothing like seeing The Warning live.

Their live stuff is the way to hear them. Try Money and Enter Sandman from this same concert. Dust to Dust Live, etc.! They have a bunch of great stuff. The only song in which I prefer the video for is Evolve. The video and the way it was shot and a bit of emphasis on the drums make it the best version in my opinion. Oh, and one of my favorites is Error. Really cool lyrics and it's so relevant to some of the concerns people are voicing in regard to AI. These girls really write about relevant topics. The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (civil engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter, they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers; and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released 47 original songs.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their North American MAYDAY TOUR and ERROR WORLD TOUR.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.
Where do you live? The Warning are in England now and are touring all around Europe throughout June into July. Go see them LIVE if you get a chance.

You must go backwards to go forward..Start at Enter Sandman when they were very young and it went viral. Then do Enter Sandman that they re-imagined and made it their own a few years ago. I subed to see more of your reactions to The Warning.

Live at “Teatro”? Which one? 🤣 Dude, it’s Teatro Metropolitan, one of the hundreds of theaters here in CDMX, and one of the important ones. Lots and lots of local and world artists have stepped up there. I’ve played there a few times myself and is always a big milestone (as was also for TW). Beautiful place that deserves its own mention :)

Recommending another band, that has a lot of fan cross-over with The Warning, even though it’s very different style. Finnish symphonic metal band, Nightwish. Five Japanese women (not related). And Maidiacs are nearly as dedicated as The Warning Army....
