- Today I had the privilege of joining Wayul's to try his INCREDIBLE escape room he made in Rust!
As you can probably tell, a lot of the pain of me struggling through the escape room was cut out to avoid boring you to death, but my goal with this video was to showcase what all is possible in rust on a totally vanilla server.. and all done by just one man!
Safe to say I am very impressed by Wayul's creation, and I look forwad to his future endeavours.

God damn guys, sorry this video took so long to get out. Weeks and weeks of tinkering, trying my best to make this as entertaining as possible. I kinda love the moral of this one, hoping it can help inspire folks to be more creative with their builds. Tried my best, hope you enjoy 😭🙏

I have had this discussion with many people where they tell me the point of the game is to get to AKs and rockets and “end game” and I always respond with “Rust is what you make of it, there is no point of the game it’s whatever you deem to be the end game” . This is someone pushing his own boundaries of what’s possible and truly having fun with it and learning new things . I much more respect this man than any other rust player that just wants to create turmoil and chaos.
You have no idea how much that means to me. Thank you! It is people like you - that is the reason I continue to keep making games in Rust: inspite of the chaos.
I entirely agree with your sentiments and have always viewed Rust as more of a social experiment than that of a "run and gun" game, and when they introduced electricity... it really did open the boundaries of what is possible. But because of people like yourself - you continue to inspire people like me to keep building new games and new experiences.

Well rust is actually about survival and loot but you can change that to what ever you want rust to be about.

First and foremost: Mike - I can't thank you enough for checking out my build and sharing it with others, and just wanted to say that it was my utmost pleasure to run you through the game! Some say not to meet those you revere [out of fear of disappointment], but you did not disappoint as it truly was an honour to meet you!
You did very well to escape under the allocated amount of time of 1 hour - especially considering you were trying to make a video and solve puzzles at the same time!
It must be mentioned that this build wouldn't have been possible without you!
For it is because of you and your content that has helped inspire me to be able to create such things like this in the first place!
From learning sneaky electrical circuits here and there from some of the crazy builds/designs you've covered [like Swift Coyote's "The Room of Death"],
to learning about some crazy people and servers [like "The Crossroads" on 'Rusty Moose: Monthly No Bp Wipe' - trying to make player-made monuments and a meat church] -
it's because of you showcasing these designs/these people/these servers that I was able to connect the dots and create myself!
So this is indirectly the fruits of your labour too Mike! :D
I hope your viewers get to enjoy watching this as much as you did running through it - but failing that - I hope to make some more games in the future, so I shall keep you posted and hopefully shall make something that is more accessible for others to enjoy themselves!

I would only ever try this on a pve server because the amount of time it had to take him to assemble all that only to watch some prick clan raid it would infuriate me. But the genius behind it, amazing! Great video!
Not gonna lie - Just having access to .sil makes creating these bad boys 10x easier [and the signs easier to read :D], but I try to build on Vanilla Servers to show that it can be built on *any* server. @@Lilpenguin-pw6vi I did try to build them on a certain pve server, but I had less grief building on vanilla ironically! Shame, as it was a good community of people!
@@ComeRee why did you leave ? And only easier in respect to there being no limits and rules on vanilla for it. Have to respect the process
@@Lilpenguin-pw6vi Well, it had a good community [with people like yourself!], but the server was riddled with issues [lag / excessive plug-ins / blind spots in their ruleset enabling "indirect" griefing], where I even built and designed a duo/trio escape room for that server - "Escape from Pookie Pyramid" - and then I was not able to rejoin the server after staff had saved and copied the design. Didn't appreciate that speaking frankly.

Surprisingly, I survived to the end of wipe. When you remove all doubt of being a trap base [hard on Vanilla haha], and get good reviews from those who've used it [in server chat] - you tend to be alright. But it's also the reason for the foyer: to vet people/"troll proof" as much as one can. Though I have been raided on other servers, where it's kinda funny because they use all that boom for... electrical comps and wooden signs. I can rebuild and laugh about it, but they've wasted boom and have nothing to show for it :D

I’m my opinion Rust is just getting so boring especially with new pointless updates and there isn’t anything in the game that makes me wanna play and stay on for more than an hour, this however is amazing we need more of this it feels like old rust 😃
Do you ever go out of your way to have fun in Rust? If not, that's completely your fault.
