Tbh, I appreciate the work everybody put on repentance. Both Killburn and Edmund can and should be free to branch out from this game after all the work behind the scenes for the past years. They deserve it. Plus, I believe the AB+ code would be a mess to fix, I understand people being scared of even approaching that.

I genuinely will never understand why apollyon is as unpopular as he is within the isaac community. Dudes one of the strongest characters if you know how to use him. Hell, I'd argue he's the strongest non-tainted character

You can use it to void bad items on curse of the blind, use it on passive shop items/devil deals if you have extra money to spend, on bad items in general, and on unreachable items. Also voids tear buff ignores the soft tear cap, so apollyon can regularly get above 5.00 tears. Plus there's so much useful actives you can void, even if you mainly void passives. And for the bad actives, you probably wouldn't have taken them with any other character anyway. Is him not being unique enough seriously the reason so many people overlook how powerful he is? I'd argue characters like samson and Maggie are much worse than he is.
@@lazykirby57the problem is: voids curse of the tower - range up and shot speed up, plus people like items that are normally op or easy to use, void is not one of those, sure it can trade bad items for stats up, but it isnt much if all the stats up ate shot speed up, like man, he IS boring, i finished tainted lost before him, and he indeed is, not saying samson or maggy arent, they are too, and i wouldnt say he is the strongest non tainted as isaac with the D6 exists, and the lost if you have the holy mantle

Seriously, I've gotten perfection levels of luck with apollyon. Though I do wish shot speed wouldn't be upgraded. Void is easy to use and powerful though? Just void bad passives. It can even save you from a bad curse of the blind item, or void items you can't reach. Plus there are a handful of good actives to void, just look at like half the library pool, or items like deck of cards or blank card. Sure, optimizing it can be pretty tricky and can require some luck, but its not too hard once you get the gist. I can consistently get stupidly powerful runs with apollyon due to how strong void is. Isaac may be debatably stronger, but theres no way the lost is. He can't take advantage of any self damage stuff, eternal d6 deletes items a bunch and he dies in 2 hits. Idk, maybe im just biased because I love the gargoyl boy.
Guys, why does everyone don't want old bandsnge in their run? Like when you get hit it has a chance of dropping a full red heart, it so helpful on blood donation machine or sacrifice rooms? Isn't it like one of the best healing items in the game?
Imagine clowning on devil deals when clearly it's better to take them as some characters. And it also goes the other way around. Both deals are pretty balanced overall.

The two worst characters in the game (technicaly 4) are J&E and tainted lazarus. They both require you to JUST BARELY scrape by in order to get any of the harder completion marks like mother, delirium or even boss rush and hush
@@maksuzbrojony8221 no they don't t.Laz after rework is much easier and he has only few hard marks since you constantly changing(beast, boss rush and greedier), all other bossfights require only one version of Lazarus to be strong and another to be able clearing the rooms J&E are just strong. I think so many players are biased towards them, when in reality you have two active slots, two trinket slots, two consumables slots and so on. Yes it can be hard to control 2 characters at once, but in my opinion they get much more viable advantages. ...🤓
