- Kawasaki Vulcan VN 800E Drifter, fishtail pipes, muffler or exhaust, side or manual shifter, front and rear crash bars or rear saddlebag guards. The Drifters are intended to be a "tribute" to the 1948 Indian Chief and so closely resembles the Indian Chief of the late 1940s that the uninitiated mistake it for an "old" Indian.

I really like the looks of your bike, very nice stay safe brother
Sweet!
my lovely custo drifter!
Sweeeeet!
Badass bike cutie
Hello good night, I would like if possible to help me, I have a Kawasaki vulcan 800 year 1996 ... and I have not found anywhere on the internet a service manual for it (I only think in English) ... I would like to know if you have something related to that, thank you in advance
Where did you get the crash bar on the back of the bike I've looked everywhere no success yet
Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad bars!
Mine came off a '96 Vulcan classic. Had to use a grinder to remove some material to make fit. Ironically, now my saddle bags/mounts won't fit with rear bars on. I saw a guy cut front highways bars in half and weld connectors to the ends for rear crash bars.
Did you install the side shifter? Was there a modification for the clutch as well? I would like to get one for my '05 Drifter.
Side shifter is homemade and it is all bolted on, so no modifications to the clutch. It attaches to the toe/heel shifter so I can use either
@@joeblasia1427 Thanks for the info! I would love to make one of my own, but I'm not sure my knee wouldn't bump into it. I'm 6'2", so maybe my knee extends out more than some people. I see there is about 6" of space between my tank and my handlebar, which doesn't seem like a lot of clearance. Is it at all awkward for your leg placement?
@@syncopated It's definitely for looks but it is functional. I have to swing my right leg out to downshift but it's very nice for shifting into neutral :)
@@joeblasia1427 I see there are kits for Jockey shifters that attach on the left side. Did you use a kit but alter it for the right side? Or did you make it from scratch?
I would want parts that are chromed, like yours. Your bike is beautiful, btw.
@@syncopated Mine is made totally from scratch even has a Hurst shifter built in there...The right side jockey is nice for cruising through gears...On the left side, I imagine I'd have to speed shift--no clutch--to use the jockey or reach over the tank (not recommended) although I've reached over and speed shifted with the jockey. I like to show off :) Since I really don't want to tear up my bike, I just drift nice and easy.
Were did you buy the crush bars?
Ebay...97 Vulcan classic....had to to fabricate slightly to make them fit.
@@joeblasia1427 do you weld new parts or just vend parts of it?
@@robertofernandez2784 I just had to use a grinder to make fit them fit. I've heard of cutting and welding the front crash bars to make rear ones.
@@joeblasia1427 thanks.
Вид хороший, но звук как консервные банки.
