I originally started making the first part of this video about a month ago, but then kinda forgot about it. It took me a while to finish this, but now it's done.
The song is "Knight of the Wind" by Crush 40. The clips all come from Sonic and the Black Knight.

That sounds like a recipe for awesome. Change it so that the king is not on his horse, but standing with his troops on other horses standing tall behind him, and he can run faster than the naked eye, and you've got a recipe for God-Tier.

Andrew Avery Truth. A lot of more recent Sonic games have really been rather bad (not being elitist, some just plain weren't fun and a lot of people feel that way). But despite the strange plot of this game, and Sonic having a sword, I remember this game was pretty damn fun. I feel it captured what most people enjoy about Sonic games while still adding a unique mechanic. It's been a long time (like, 2009? god), but I also don't recall it being too glitchy either. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about the glitches though, haha.
Though I do agree with muffinman guy below that a SA2 HD remake would be amazing. Or, maybe I'd prefer they make the long asked for -- and fabled -- Sonic Adventure 3. I wouldn't be disappointed if they made an HD remake of this game though, maybe make it so you don't HAVE to use Wiimote motion control though.

Hello, we are in 2023 and many people may have forgotten about this lost gem! But those who grew up with sonic sure as hell didn't. So! whether you're just coming back or just now finding out about this song I suggest you sit back and as time stops for a moment and brings you back to a time were things were simple and enjoyable.
Listening to this while doing homework puts me in a great mood, it makes me feel so confident in myself especially the line “the power in you”

This game is INCREDIBLY underrated. It's an on rails Sonic game. Okay. It's not like how Sonic is supposed to be. Mmhmm. So? This game is awesome! Great music, great controls, and even though the final battles were piss easy, they were cool!! Seeing Sonic turn into a fucking GOLDEN KNIGHT WITH A HUGE SWORD is so badass! Sonic should wield Caliburn for a Smash game or alternate. At the very least, an alternate for Project M.

I think I finally pinned down why I like the story/atmosphere of this game so much more than games like Colors and Generations- it achieves a balance between silly and serious. Sonic Adventure did a great job of this too, while the other modern games tend to try too hard to be silly, and wind up seeming painfully unfunny and completely patronizing. You don't need to make Sonic completely ridiculous, because we already know the setup is silly. Sonic with a sword is silly, and the game knows that. It doesn't point it out as if we're too stupid to notice, and it also doesn't go out of its way to try to deny it, like the game Shadow the Hedgehog does. Instead, it presents a silly situation, and kind of ignores it in favor of throwing some unrelated humor and making some legitimately awesome moments. Because it just lets the goofiness of the scenario be, the audience can accept it and move it to the back of their minds. Other modern Sonic games don't let that happen, and therefore it breaks the suspension of disbelief. If you keep reminding the players that a hedgehog with a sword is silly, it'll break the tone when you throw him into a golden set of armor. If you let that silliness fade into the background, however, then the music and context of the scene takes over and makes it badass.

Trust me when I say this, but I think this game is heavily underrated and that it’s a good game. It’s not as good as mania or generations, but I found it very entertaining. If you can get it cheap, then do yourself a favor and please get this game, you will not regret it, as long as you stay away from critics.

I gotta say it but the sword really blends in on Sonic so I don't see the problem just like how guns blend in on Shadow. Well I see little problems but it still blends in pretty well and it just looks badass!

Man, this brought back so many memories. I played the shit out of this game as a kid and I adored it to hell. This was definitely one of the best sonic games I have ever played. I remember being amazed by the graphics, the great soundtrack, the amazing character design, and the gameplay itself. I miss this game so much. I find it weird how it took me so long to finally beat the final boss. I died hundreds of times which led me to rage quitting. I went back almost a year later. The final boss is actually really really really easy. I miss this game. :' )
this and sonic heroes are my favorite 2 sonic games but I have to put sonic heroes a little higher for a couple reasons
A: I grew up playing that game
B: I wasn't a fan of the motion controls

Man, along with a lot of other StormRedDesesrt Sonic AMVs, I used to watch this almost every day in the fifth grade. This video was a part of my childhood.

This game is hard to capture good music video footage of, but you worked the best with what you had! And what you managed to do RULES! Excellent transitions, excellent choice of footage and showing of great action and cool moments while showing story moments too. Just… great work all around.
