CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Dre (Jaden Smith) faces Cheng (Zhenwei Wang) for one last point on his bad leg, and wins.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
When a 12-year-old from Detroit moves to China with his mother and incurs the wrath of the class bully at his new school, he makes an unlikely ally in the form of his aging maintenance man, a kung fu master who teaches him the secrets to self-defense. Upon arriving at his new school, Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) develops a powerful crush on pretty classmate Mei Ying. The feeling is mutual, although the cultural divide between Dre and Mei Ying makes a friendship unlikely, and romance impossible. When cruel classmate and kung fu prodigy Cheng learns of Dre's feelings for Mei Ying, he harasses and humiliates the young outsider in front of the entire school. With no one to turn to for help, Dre confides his fears in kindly maintenance man Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), a kung fu master who knows that serenity and maturity -- not punches and power -- are the true keys to mastering the martial arts. As Dre prepares to face down his intimidating tormentor, he begins to realize that the real fight is just beginning.

No one is talking about how Dre was so obsessed with the snake technique, from the moment he saw it to this final scene, that he realized how being still and doing nothing are two different things. He was hung up on that technique and even drew it. Great foreshadowing.

Small detail: I love how Dre still wasn't sure if he won or not so he looked at his instructor/translator to make sure of what happened. Him saying "you won" before Dre celebrated was honestly a really nice touch.
The crowd cheering for him , his mom facial reactions, the epic music , Dre’s tears , him getting up . Way to emotional. This scene was everything!
It's actually emotional to see such a raw moment of someone so fragile, like a child, conquering pain... He goes through all stages, sadness, fear, courage and satisfaction so distinctively. Great acting and great script.

@@jenell4375 Eh, I like both. They each had their own stories to tell and, in some ways, I think this one did a better job of it. This scene, for instance. While it's fairly unlikely that Dre could've managed a kick like that on one leg in real life, I find his "psych out" of Cheng very believable and intriguing. Daniel was clearly terrified and that move because it was his only option, a last-ditch effort if you will. Dre's, on the other hand, was much more carefully planned. You can see the change in his eyes once he breathes past the pain to that almost eerie calm. No wonder Cheng was confused and attacking wildly.
@@asherikamichaela8425 Sure Daniel's was a last ditch effort, but it was something he had practiced under Miyagi during his training. That was the cherry on top of Daniel's growth and the patience, trust and values he learned. I think the original not only tells a better story but has so much more to it. There is so much packed into it and so much that went into the film, the things your need to pay close attention to in order to notice. Overall, i think the original is far better and tells a much better story and message. it was more than a case of Rocky where he overcame an obstacle, and i think the 2010 failed to meet those standards
This ending is much more emotional than what we had in KK1. Just like in the original, Cheng gave the trophy to Dre, but we could see in those few seconds and in their smiles that the war between them was over. I refuse to believe their rivalry continued like Daniel and Johnny did in Cobra Kai.

Remember what Han thought him, He told him before while he is in training "be strong, Stay focus, concentrate, and attitude". In the end of tournament, he finally unleased them while he's in desperate situation. He kept away all his desperation and pain. Use his own attitude fearless look to stay focus on rival next move. (obviously it just like cobra's attitude, focus before ready to attack). And maintain his body strong. Despite Cheng’s relentless assaults, Cheng witnesses Dre’s determination and Mr. Han’s love and support for his student. In this moment, Cheng realizes Dre as what he wishes he was. the one thing i will say somewhat contradictory is the physical. the backflip kick was REALLY phantom, to the point its somewhat distracting to me. emotions and all that were great. but the physical was sorta absent. i suspect that comes from their age too though. in that the ability to throw a punch and hard stop an inch away from the target is something difficult to pick up even over a few years. i didn't think this was a bad movie, though i think this fell into a similar pitfall the avatar last airbender movie did : it gets compared to its source material, and because it doesn't hold up to THAT, it gets generally panned.

@@Samvatsara what? Your comment makes no sense
He learned a move it takes grown people years to learn. With his leg being broken he had to balance on one, making the snake stance the perfect option. Because it was the finals he only had to focus on a single target. And to gain respect from everyone (including his crushes dad) he had to win or risk losing everything. His stance, mood, and action were all in the form of a snake. Balance, focus, and strike like a snake.
Wow einstein ur good
It wasn’t broken, it was just heavily bruised.
CGI helps
This movie is MY FAVORITE NO CAP
The best part of the final fight was the respect of the opponent which was not shown in this video. 100% of RESPECT is Kung Fu.
