    The paint grip metal you are using will never rust, the galvanizing is so good. We used that in the sign industry and I have letters made 30 years ago that have been in my barn exposed to the elements and just have a slight bit of surface rust on the cut edges. Good stuff

    Mike when we did my son's beetle and complete it when he was 16, i could see that look on his face; afraid drive it & park it at his high school and at college, it so nice what if..I told him look we spent the time and dollars for the car to be safe look like per your vision for the car, but more importantly to drive and enjoy. It gets dented wrecked we have fun fixing it. If some one steals it, we find another project vw & generate more great father son memeories fixing it up. He will be 31 this year and this spring we will do a some up-grades on his vw looking forward to it.

      Thats what its all about brother! I backed into my 65 el camino a while back. I started to loose my cool but then i got excited about seaching for parts! Lol. I did loose my shit when my daughter chipped paint on my 47k mile one of 24 1989 TTA pace car... i felt bad for it tho and apologized. I enjoy that car the least of all my junk because im scarred to drive it . I need to sell it and buy another bucket.

    The VW bus was basically a box, that the designers spent much time curving on every corner. When fabricating I give you credit. As there is more going on than what the eye can see.

    Love your work, nice to watch a down to earth approach. btw @22:48 you said something was "Mickey Mouse", here in Australia, Mickey mouse is rhyming slang for "grouse" which means excellent or great. Funny how things change meaning depending where you are.

    • @Mikefngarage
      @Mikefngarage  Před 4 lety

      Yea here mickey mouse means half assed. or not the "right" way. My buddys and I call our stuff PRO moused. mickey mouse but works well. ha ha.
