- Galactus is back in Spotlight Caches this week, and I fear he might be coming back in the meta in a big way too, bringing along his annoying friends Alioth and Sandman.

Power Estimate: This deck has good data across a large sample size, and proved successful for me too. It feels surprisingly great into the meta right now, where lots of decks are looking to spam multiple cards per turn in the late game, making Sandman a reliable counter, while still providing its own proactive win conditions in Galactus and Doctor Doom.

Although this deck is probably higher winrate, I still have the most fun trying to get a 80 power galactus through wong etc and moving it out the way with cloak! Regis showcased that previously. Galsctus is fun

for my new players grabbing galactus this week heres some cards id swap if you dont have them:
sunspot for howard the duck since you normally float energy here and there
hobgoblin for aero cause the hobgoblin into galactus combo is really good
leader for alioth which isnt as strong but if youre lacking alioth playing a leader after you galactus is still pretty good
nightcrawler for jeff which is another downgrade but really the only substitute you can make daredevil can also be played here since its nice to know what the opponent is playing when you want to galactus on turn 5

for beta ray bill, you should run that combo deck you talked about: Thor->BRB->Jan Foster->Hammers+Odin
and opponent will play Cosmo before your Odin

I always think like that a Galactus deck is easy to look through and counter but it kinda works on a consistent basis and even tho I know what will follow after a wave, it is sometimes hard to counter xD

okay I'm gonna preface this by saying that I'm really stupid but at 20:00 wouldn't it have been better to play doom and mid in preparation for Odin because the doombot would've had 8 power? I know the explanation was that Odin wouldn't flip mid but it still would've added 8 power to DC on turn 6 because of the +3 buff?

22:37 two doombots would have been 16 power in DC, which is still higher than doom+odin. I think you were safe to play doom+odin mid. Not that it mattered though

The Sera Zabu deck might be a really greedy surfer deck that I also play. You run Zabu for Wong, you play Sera and Magik to allow you to play Odin + Surfer on Wong. It also runs Brood, Shaw and Cosmo (to protect Limbo).

@@jakubskonieczny5750 Zabu, Ironheart, Brood, Magik, Silver Surfer, Cosmo, Crystal, Sebastian Shaw, Wong, Shang-Chi, Sera, Odin.
Crystal is just there to try to draw the combo, but I don't play her if I have other things to play on turn 3. Cosmo is there to protect your limbo or interrupt the enemy. Ideal play is to get Wong in a lane alone, play Magik for turn 7, turn 5 you play Sera, Turn 6 you spread your three drops into other lanes, maybe play Ironheart on Wong, turn 7 play Surfer and Odin on the wong lane.
It's not a consistent deck, but it's not a common deck so it can steal cubes because people don't know how high it's numbers get. It gets countered by an enemy Cosmo obviously, as well as location changing away Limbo. Magneto also ruins your day if he pulls your Wong away into a lane that's already being used.
Regis getting not nominated for the best thumbnail maker of the year is totally a big crime.
My good sir it is not stupid....I will defend galactus as this season I reached infinite from the 80s to infinite using a galactus deck that had kang the conqueror lol so I love galactus and can't wait to play him this week

I love Galactus, one of my favorite cards. WInning with Alioth always feels awful, though.
Oh man, in the last 10 games I think I've come across a lower-tier version of this deck like 3 times. The version I keep coming across is an electro ramp into hobgoblin on turn 4, and galactus into the same lane turn 5. It's so insanely annoying unless you happen to be playing destroy, because you can see the play coming every time but without destroy have very little you can do to win the galactus lane on turn 5. I hate decks like this if I'm honest.
SandPantherArnimGalactus is what im running with 3 piece ramp package (ElectroWavePsylock) and it carries me to Infinite every season without fail.

Idk if it's a severe skill issue on my part (probable) or not having Howard in the deck (if someone knows any replacement please tell) but at the moment to try this deck I was at rank 97, fast foward to today of trying to climb with this deck and i'm almost being demoted to 93, damn.

I am CL ~3.200 i am still missing key cards like Elektro, The Hood, Sera, Patriot Cerebro, Aero...

To not go to much into detail now you get a short burst of S3 cards between CL ~500 and CL ~1000 (not knowing the exat number, maybe around 20) and after that you get EXACTLY 2 S3 base cards every 120 CL, the same amount of CL to get one Spotlight Key. (If you have S3 complete, you get 50 Collectors Token per S3 you would have gotton instead)

RegisKillbin, I love your videos but one thing is missing: because you put matches where you play for fun and not cubes it feels empty when you win/lose. If you would legit snap sometimes because you think you will trick enemy and win this it fould way more significant

It’s not a 50/50 for priority……since it was a tie at the the end of turn 5 it switches priority from whoever had it at the beginning of the turn…….so if you had priority to start off turn 5, priority would then switch to your opponent on 6……

They definitely need to make certain on reveal once per game/copy. Alioth getting triggered by Odin is definitely annoying, not to mention interactions with Hulk Buster and Sinister London and Bar Sinister making copies of cards and triggering their on reveals again.
I stopped playing Snap soon after they released alioth because I hated the gameplay patterns he generated just by existing. I'm glad to see I made the right decision.
