Hiya Basia,
"Where I keep all the art..." But where is Mum's painting of the countryside? But as I do love the Great Wave so much, both that print plus my artwork that you so wonderfully made I'll let you off! xxx
I just love your workshop!
Your studio is a lovely place. Congratulations, hugs from Brazil.
Thank you! I'm very happy you like it 🙏🥰
@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing I am a gemstone cutter on weekends. My late father was a great gem extractor. It even extracted marine waters weighing more than 15 kilos.
I absolutely love the checklist next to your door, so simple and so helpful! ❤️
Btw I had no idea about the amount of things you use at your work, surprising.🤯
Yeah, I surprised myself haha 😁 I do try to keep it to a minimum and only have things I use, but there's still quite a lot of those. Jewellery making is not necessarily a minimalist job 😁
And yes, the checklist is so helpful. I need to make another one to keep at home, as I tend to forget things often too, keys, charger, mobile etc 😂
Girrrll you make me hate my studio 😂😂 Queen of organization? No queen, you're the Marie Kondo of workshops!!! Such a beautiful space (even without your amazing jeweller workbench) ❤
Oh no, that was not my intention! 😱😁 I personally love your space, from what I saw on you socials, it has a wonderful vibe 😍 In my case, I found that wooden stuff make all the difference and plants too, they add a really nice feeling 🥰 Thank you so much Faby! I appreciate your sweet words a lot ❤️
@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing thank you darling! You know that studios are never finished! we always want to make changes and changes to find the balance between useful workshop and inspiring space. And it's difficult. But your tips make it easier!
@@faby6451 oh I couldn't agree with you on that more! You are absolutely right and it's my constant struggle too 😁 a journey to most efficient and inspiring optimization 😁
I absolutely love your workshop❣️
This is my older space, before the current one. It was a tiny little room, unfortunately quite dark and sad. But once I put sime colourful lights in there and organised the space, it was very nice :)
Good to see ya back mate
Thanks so much! 🥰
Love your studio! I'm just getting started and your videos are excellent! Thank you!
Awesome! That's very exciting :) Thank you for watching and good luck!
Love it! Could you make a video on how you made your bench pin? Thanks!
Hiya, it is one of a few that Cookson Gold here in the UK sell, with a wooden block screwed underneath by her dad, then held in a vice available anywhere. I believe Rio Grande in the USA sells it too, but that is not confirmed.
Stay safe, Steve...
You have so many useful solutions that I really use … thanks a lot
My pleasure! Glad you like it! Thank you for watching ❤️
you have set the studio up really nice
Thanks so much! 🥰
Wonderful tips and workspace! so organized and beautiful!
Thank you so much! 🙏 Glad you like it 🥰
love your earrings!
I just love you Basia!!!! All of your videos are inspiring! Thank you so much! I hope you are all well and safe!!! Sending all my love your way!!!!❤️❤️❤️
P.S. I NEED ONE OF THOSE CHAIRS!!!
Thank you so much sweetheart, it means a lot! 🙏❤️ We're ok over here! Hope you're well too. Sending lots of love ❤️
Wow! your studio is beautiful. I am completely in awe of your organisation skills.
Happy creating, thanks for sharing. 🐳✨
Thank you so much Suzie! It's all work in progress and never ending journey to find that best, most intuitive organization method haha 😁 Though I do enjoy it a lot, so it kind of is a little hobby of mine. Thank you so much for watching ❤️
Hey Basia,
Njoyed your video. Tiny little things have place of their own. Thats what i learn from the way you organize things. Luv it. Thank you so much.
That's wonderful to hear! Thank you so much 🥰❤️
Queen👏of👏organisation👏
Aww thanks so much love!! 😁 Trying my best!
Amazing studio Basia 🧡 love your videos 😍
Thank you so much sweetheart! I appreciate it a lot 🙏
I've been waiting so long for your new video. thank you very much you are an inspiration greetings from Mexico.
Thank you so much for waiting for me and for watching ❤️ I needed to take it slow for a bit, but now I'm coming back to regular uploads! Next video will be up this Sunday! 🙏
Hiya!. this is top picture~see u around.
Thanks a lot! 😁
Hiya Lady Stardust,
Great video and view, thank you. I love your horsy!!! Me want one Aunty Basia!!! I even love the fake plant, one for me so I don't forget to water, or knowing me, over water. I love bambo and know I know where to get some plants, I love that you just stick it in water and keep it topped up, even I might manage that, maybe??? Okay I forgot with my last one... It's wonderful to have you back Basia, we missed you, well I have...
Stay safe, with less pain, Steve xx...
I missed you so much too! I'm so happy to be back. I'm very excited for new videos. The channel will need some reviving for sure, I don't think CZcams is showing my videos to a lot of people at this point (a mandatory punishment for not uploading, CZcams is well known for this 😅). But I'm hoping it will get better.
With the plants, totally! If you ever get the chance, these little bamboo, also called "lucky bamboo", are extremely easy to keep. It's actually a pleasure and guilt-free. I'm the best with plants myself, so these are everywhere now, in my flat, at a workshop 😁 And the fake ones are nice too. Obviously they're nowhere near a real plant, but add some much needed greenery and a peace of mind haha.
The horsy, I mean, the chair is really awesome indeed 😁 so much fun and actually works great, my back doesn't hurt. I love to see a good brand producing a well made product like this
@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing well they jolly well should, and quick too. The very idea, probebly the best larger, sorry the best jewellery channel on YT and they don't show it??? Shame on them... Stave...
I live in a second floor apartment. Any advice on reducing impact noises when hammering pieces?
I'm worried about my neighboors downstairs.
Do you use /can it be used/ the ikea Bekvam kitchen trolley for heavy hammering and metal stamping or just for storing heavy tools?
That's exactly what I'm using it for! I think it's an excellent solution. I keep my rolling mill on it, my ring bender, guillotine shear, bench polishing lathe with the hood AND i hammer and stamp on it. Overall great table/trolley for your workshop :)
What kind of green flux is that at 8:54? Do you like it?
Beautiful studio! I have a question for you, what do you do for ventilation when you are soldering? I have a small space and I'm looking to make a studio as well.
Please check out my recent video about it, it has all the info :) czcams.com/video/pvM2UkGl21M/video.html
@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing thanks!
Amazing videos as always Basia. I absolutely love your studio!!!
Wow, thank you! So happy you do ❤️
Always love your content. 😊. Is your studio at home? I make jewellery at home, but need more space so I'm looking around for a rented spot at the moment. nice set up😊
Thank you! 💖 It used to be at home when I lived in Bristol, but now I'm renting a small space. It's not too bad, but unfortunately I still can't use a bigger torch in there. It depends on the place and the rules of that property. But working outside of home can be healthier and better in many cases. I hope you will be able to find something nice! ❤️
@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing oh ok I understand 🙌🏾. Thanks for responding. All the best to you as well 😊
That previous comment, now removed, it was a scammer, I hope that you didn't contact them. Please be safe ❤️

Love the studio tour!! Question - I have a Dremel butane torch as well (and a few others like a Max Flame butane torch) but I have found that after a while, refilling my torches becomes really difficult. It seems like the butane no longer wants to go into the torch, or maybe I'm letting the gas out as I'm trying to fill! Do you run into this issue? Any suggestions?
Hi! Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️ As for the torch, I've never experienced this to be honest, which I think is actually quite unusual with an old torch like mine. I guess I got a good unit. But I think someone mentioned (Steve, was that you?) that it's the air, which can be let out by pressing on that bit at the bottom. But please - do double check, as I don't want you to do anything dangerous if I'm wrong about this. Like I said, I've never done it myself, that's why I'm not entirely sure
@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing Thanks for the reply!! I appreciate the tip. I have actually tried this and didn't see any difference, but perhaps I'll try again. Or if it gets too bad, maybe I'll just buy a new torch. I do really love the Dremel torch (and I got it because of your videos!).
@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing yes it was me and yes well remembered it is the air that is in the refill can filling your gas tank on your torch. Use a solder pick or something simular to depress the centre piece of the gas socket in the base, this will let any butane and the air out. It will come out under pressure so point it away from you and anything that might be damaged, and NEVER HAVE A NAKED FLAME ON!!! Or maybe BOOM!!! Not cleaver. You might want to take it outside, I usualy do. Cheaper refill cans are the problem, always buy good ones if you can, it's better gas too. This is how I do it, but it is up to you how you solve the problem, I'm not a gas engineer I just found it worked for me.
Check my reply to Basia for how I fix the gas problem.
@@stephencoster9532 amazing, thank you so much Steve!! ❤️🙏 I do recommend getting a second opinion, maybe at a hardware shop, just to be extra safe, but I think this is a good advice
😽
