SteveO you and your Son did a GREAT job..... I used to do a little Taxidermy work myself.
As far as the incubator let me tell you what route I went with. I use a chicken egg incubator. Lightweight and easy to maneuver. I use 20 count, queen cell holding bars, X 10 placed evenly on the bottom of the incubator for a total of 200 cells per cycle. Love it! If you would like to know more I will be happy to reveal.
I am not taking away from you and your sons project, yall did good!! Keep up the good work.

Steveo great build. As always comment Fl as hot as it gets a minor modification a new thermostat for the working wine cooler and if to cold then a thermostat for the heating bulb if needed.

Good job SteveO.Only one suggestion. Two bulbs.I have used bulbs for almost 50 years mostly for chickens but queens also. The bulb goes out and you lose everything.A second bulb will save your day.

Be sure to let us know if you like the graft tool or not. I haven't tried that kind yet. Not sure if I can keep a steady enough hand or punch through new drawn comb. I would like to try it next year on some black plastic foundation. Keep us posted.

Steve I have the same control unit. Not sure if I like it. I have the little giant incubator think I’m going to need a fan plugged in.

    • @stevesoutdoorworld4340

That unit has been working perfect for me and the fan in the parts list runs slow and is just right for the size of my box.

Good luck with the queens. I looked into the state requirements. You'll need 60 "European drone colonies" and although it's not specifically stated in the regs, they want you to have an II breeder queen. I think the whole thing is BS. Anyone open mating queens south of Daytona is likely to encounter Africanized drones no matter how many colonies you have.

Isn't it crazy what they are doing! We Beekeepers know what bees we like and we sure as hell don't need the Government getting their nose in our hives. If they want to help us they should help us find land for our bees.Yea breeder Queens what a joke that is! All my Queens are Breeder Queens. The thing is to get their hand in your pocket. Its all Bullshit!
