  • I had a magical flight over the Masai Mara. I saw hippos, Giraffe and a lot more. From a balloon you gain a different perspective of the landscape around you. I also visit the area where I took my famous picture of a Python eating a waterbuck from a balloon.

    That was a very smooth landing. I was in the Mara last year and did a balloon ride. My landing was rougher but it was part of the adventure!!! I have to say though your animal sightings were much better. Seeing the flock of birds flying as well as the elephant towards the end were awesome. Congrats.

    Being a canon shooter, i usually only watch wildlife videos from other canon shooters. Just a preference really, but Felix, i found my self obsessed with your videos. I’ve watched them all and i can’t wait to see what you cook up next!

    You take some amazing photographs and you have a skill including the content that viewers interested in both photography and wildlife want to see. Having presented to camera a lot myself just try and forget the camera is there and relax which will bring out your personailty and display the passion you clearly have. Right at the end of the video I got my first feeling of the real you coming across. Keep up the great content.

    Pretty cool vid. Really never thought of shooting wildlife from a balloon. A first for me. But not the ideal way to shoot. I’ll take a look at one of your other vids. Happy shooting.

    A few questions for you, did you bring just 1 lens, the 70-200mm or did you bring a wider lens such as the 24-70mm? If you brought more than 1 lens, did you shoot with just 1 or more than 1? I will be doing a ballon flight and just considering the two lenses that I mentioned, just wanted to get your thoughts?

    What shutter speed did you use in the balloon ride
    ?
    Must have been fast

    • @felixrome7829
      @felixrome7829  Před rokem

      I start at 1/250 but a hight ISO as the light is low. as the sunrises I lower the iso and increase the shutter until I get to around 1/1000

    Am from india…we are planning a big group to Kenya to see the masai Mara…the migration is from July to…how many air balloons do they have to operate and how many people can one carry… Thanks…can a 70-200 take the images

    • @felixrome7829
      @felixrome7829  Před 2 lety

      They have lots so they should be able to fly the whole group, not all in one balloon depending on the size of the group. I find 70-200 is great but a wide lens is also a great option

    Amazing video. Did you shoot the video with a gimbal? because its not shaky

    • @felixrome7829
      @felixrome7829  Před 2 lety +1

      No gimbal, the balloon is one massive gimbal haha
