I dont usually write long ass comments but this is seriously amazing. I remember when you had to leave India and felt so defeated and you could see the heartache and pain you were going through and to see this transformation after only 3 weeks is incredible. Im so glad those first 2 really rough weeks were worth it! A cpl yrs ago I had a numrothorax, a small whole in my lung. I could barely breathe and I remember how I would do everything in slow motion bc even if I moved to quick walking or taking stairs I couldn't beathe. My heart would race I felt as if I had just finished a marathon race at all times. Was the 1st time in my life I was aware of every breathe I took, every beat of my heart. After 4 months and a diagnosis The air bubble that was floating back and forth on top of my lung was reobsorbed into my body and things got back to normal.. I honestly can't imagine having to deal with CF and facing your own mortality. We take breathing for granted I know I did. You are such a strong person and to see you have so much happiness and HOPE is honestly inspiring. WISH YOU AN AMAZING 2020.

The more I get to know you personally the more I realize I relate. I don’t have the same family background and I haven’t been dealing with cf my whole life But I was so painfully shy when I was younger too. I had excruciating social anxiety as a kid and I was selectively mute kind of as a kid but it really hit me in middle school. I only talked to my friends. Never tothe teachers and never to any student I didn’t know. Body language became my go to language. I remember at one point wishing everyone knew sign language so I wouldn’t have to use my voice to talk to people. Idk someone about TALKING was just so socially painful for me Middle school was the time I really started to LOVE art too. I loved it my whole life and always wanted to be an artist but I met my first favorite art teacher in 7th grade. That summer I took a summer art class. I remember I had such a god complex cuz my teacher kept talking so highly of my art to the class. Lol then I got to high school and I wasn’t the best anymore and that made me upset but I also wasn’t trying anymore soooo perspective is key. Anyways Idk where I was going with this just felt like rambling and sharing a story with you Thank you for sharing such personal stuff with us stephi. You’ve really helped me see things in a different light. You’re beautiful and strong and so so smart and I just. WISH YOU THE BEST. cuz you deserve the world. Love you stephi. I’ve been watching your videos for 2 years! I’m super happy. No words. This medical breakthrough happened in my lifetime. As a first responder paramedic I hope we keep moving forward with many other terminal illnesses.
When you took a deep breath my eyes started tearing up and I just felt my heart get so warm. I'm so happy for you Stephi!!! Now it's my turn to get my asthma and allergies under control. My lung function has dropped 20% in the past year from not receiving my allergy immunizations. My insurance doesn't cover it now that I'm over 21, idk why, but I'm hoping to figure something out.
Contact the pharmaceutical company, and see if they have an assistance program. It was the only way I was able to get my inhaler ($600 a month!) since insurance doesn't cover it. We like breathing!! :D
People can't afford allergy shots, inhalers, insulin test strips, etc because the government is more worried about handing out free Narcan to criminals.
There's already a noticeable difference in the way you speak. You're talking louder and faster now because your able to take deeper breathes as you're talking without being conscious of it. I think your smile is getting bigger too!
So happy you’re also doing great on trikafta!!! The one big thing that got me was being able to have a real hard belly laugh without breaking out in a coughing fit. I was laughing really hard at work, and someone mentioned they’ve never heard me laugh like that. And I realized it’s because I would break out in a coughing fit if I did. It’s such a awesome feeling realizing little things like that

I am super anti-pharmaceutical because of how they completely messed up my life and kept me sick for 25 years, but seeing this change for you and how your life is becoming more "normal" is so beautiful!!! I felt really limited and frustrated and depressed by my illness for so long it felt like I was missing out on so much so I can completely relate to that feeling and when you finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and healing begins it is such a crazy feeling.
I am so happy for you!!!!! When I went to CHOP my hospital I did my pft and when I first started the triple I was I 62%, I went back yesterday and no joke I am at 105%. I was like I can breathe with out coughing.
In my high school there are 5 floors and two of my classes are on the fifth floor and the rest are on main 1 ( floor 1). So I have a elevator pass because it’s really hard to walk up and down the stairs, yesterday I turned in my pass because I don’t need it any more.

If you know how to act around horses, they are fairly safe to be around. Much safer than most humans.

I’ve been watching your videos for 2 years! I’m super happy. No words. This medical breakthrough happened in my lifetime. As a first responder paramedic I hope we keep moving forward with many other terminal illnesses.
When you took a deep breath my eyes started tearing up and I just felt my heart get so warm. I'm so happy for you Stephi!!! Now it's my turn to get my asthma and allergies under control. My lung function has dropped 20% in the past year from not receiving my allergy immunizations. My insurance doesn't cover it now that I'm over 21, idk why, but I'm hoping to figure something out.

Contact the pharmaceutical company, and see if they have an assistance program. It was the only way I was able to get my inhaler ($600 a month!) since insurance doesn't cover it. We like breathing!! :D

So happy you’re also doing great on trikafta!!! The one big thing that got me was being able to have a real hard belly laugh without breaking out in a coughing fit. I was laughing really hard at work, and someone mentioned they’ve never heard me laugh like that. And I realized it’s because I would break out in a coughing fit if I did. It’s such a awesome feeling realizing little things like that

I am super anti-pharmaceutical because of how they completely messed up my life and kept me sick for 25 years, but seeing this change for you and how your life is becoming more "normal" is so beautiful!!! I felt really limited and frustrated and depressed by my illness for so long it felt like I was missing out on so much so I can completely relate to that feeling and when you finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and healing begins it is such a crazy feeling.
I have so so so much excitement for you. You deserve the shit out of this happiness. You deserve to feel GOOD.

When I went to CHOP my hospital
I did my pft and when I first started the triple I was I 62%, I went back yesterday and no joke I am at 105%. I was like I can breathe with out coughing.

In my high school there are 5 floors and two of my classes are on the fifth floor and the rest are on main 1 ( floor 1). So I have a elevator pass because it’s really hard to walk up and down the stairs, yesterday I turned in my pass because I don’t need it any more.

Now your life expectancy has grown and like you said, you can plan for your old age! I wish this Trikafta was available back in the 60's.
