You did have to run in to the stars. If you look back, you can see they disappear when the truck drove in to them.

You should try to use the trace tool on the bottom right and i think there are 23 new level in the new update. Some of the old levels was removed.
Rope=cable
Cable=Stronger Cable
You use the trace tool to make suspension now.
To make land braces you need to move them with grid turned of.
Also larger triangles are better most of the time.
you need to touch the stars with the cars. On some levels you need to do it in a specific order.
