    My prediction is 20 years from now there will be a totally new technology like laser tracking from satellites which will make everything you are doing obsolete. 😂

      I am 100% down for a easier more precise way to find the tile but I always prepare as if nothing will change!

      @@6thGenFarmer Yes I agree but when you think how technology has changed in the last 20 years the next 20 should be a crazy interesting. Flying cars, transport drones, the sky is the limit.

    I agree tiling is a lot of fun if the weather and ground conditions are as nice as this fall! What spacing do you normally run? Also how fast are you installing lines?

    • @6thGenFarmer
      @6thGenFarmer  Před 7 měsíci +1

      We normally run 55-60ft but may go narrower if needed. The cat we used to have was less than 10mph but the 9570rt has a faster first gear so around 1.2-1.6mph I’d guess

    city boy here - I had no idea that the whole fields are tiled. I thought just the low or water prone spots.

    • @6thGenFarmer
      @6thGenFarmer  Před 7 měsíci

      Depends on the location. In our area here in Southern MN it is very common to do entire fields. However, you get to dryer parts of SD or Nebraska and then it might just be to a spot or 2

    Maybe we are doing it wrong,but when we start a run we just jump in the hole and connect the tile to the main then stand on the tile while the plow starts moving,no cutting,no wasted tile

    • @6thGenFarmer
      @6thGenFarmer  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I have done that a few times but every once in a while it would pop out on me and I would end up adding more anyways. It doesn't help that I only weigh 145lb either.

    Can you get a CRG receiver with just sf1?

    • @SirAnderw
      @SirAnderw Před 7 měsíci

      I dont believe so, SF1 is john deere only. But you can run it on the free WAAS signal which is pretty comparable to SF1.

      They only make 1 receiver which is rtk. It is $4400. You can run it on waas if you want but for the same price you have rtk so nobody runs it on waas
