      @@kirstenneville1934 Grips make catching the bar easier. They also protect the hands from the friction, so the skin doesn't blister and tear.

    I love how straight her arms are and how she seems to go in slow-motion

    I wonder whatever happened to her… they could have used her on bars in Rio.

    Still aliya mustafina is the best when it comes to uneven bars.

    • @nathan10120
      @nathan10120 Před rokem +1

      He Kexin is better. Her routine in 2011 is 5 tenths harder than Mustafina's routine in 2016 by 5 tenths in the current code

      Aliya has two Olympic gold medals, she is absolutely ONE of the best. The absolute best? No, there are many throughout history that have been just as amazing and beautiful on the event.

    Yet people complain that Nastia Liukin put a lot of pirouettes in her routine rather than actual release skills for her high D-score, quote: "that shit she put out there"
    Sorry, it's unrelated to this fantastic video but I couldn't help but notice this hypocrisy.

      +nathaliexlr8 Nastia does not pirouette as great as Huidan.

    • @nathaliexlr8
      @nathaliexlr8 Před 8 lety +1

      Vette gaddia I'm not saying she does pirouettes better, but that people call her "code-whoring" by putting those pirouettes in her routine.

    • @vettegaddia6234
      @vettegaddia6234 Před 8 lety +16

      nathaliexlr8 You have to pirouette exactly on top of the bar to get full credit for them. Nastia is a great UB worker. But most of the time she is several important degrees off the top of the bar on her handstands--and arched. Those are deduction which she did not get deducted for. She should receive at least 0.5 on her UB EF during the Olympics. Just look at how textbook perfect Huidan is on her handstands. And she holds the position like a dart. Too bad she is not at the 2015 WC, or she'll destroy the four gymnasts who got gold.

      @anthonywilliams4204 Před 7 lety +1

      No, not on her on arm pirouettes. Deductions yes, but never 0,5.

      Comparing one athlete- from DECADES EARLIER- to the modern athlete who has just as difficult, if not even more so because of everything being connected as it is- is pure selfish childishness.

      @denisesachs7620 Před rokem +1

      @Sara Grant Every person is entitled to their OWN opinion. So, when you have an OPINION, does that make you childish? That was a silly comment you just made. I grew up watching Olga. She will always be one of my favorites. The girls all work hard, and I never discredited them.

    • @saragrant9749
      @saragrant9749 Před rokem

      @@denisesachs7620 you ARE being childish through your statement. Having an opinion is fine, but when it demeans others don’t be surprised when you are called out for it. There is no need to say “well, they are great but they are not someone else.” The appropriate way to word it is “they are all amazing but I prefer Olga.” That is a respectful way to state your opinion. The way you worded it was in no way respectful- and deserved to be called out on.
