Bought this airbrush 7 years ago I can say I have had no problems good product, and for those
who like a bit off weight there"s a metal bodied one, very clever design easy to use and can be
cleaned quickly.I think you would have to spend a lot more bucks to get any better,as an aircraft modeller it has served me well all the best Dave.

I have the Aztec 430, which I have used for over 20 years. Great tool, very versatile. Well worth what I paid for it.

I tested these for the importers in Australia back in the early 90's. They all seemed to have the same flaw; the trigger is plastic and a wire is threaded through it to push the needle assembly. Being metal is harder then the plastic parts, it would quickly wear out the plastic parts and fail. I asked the manufacturer how they could offer a life time warranty back then and he told me they cost around $6.70 to manufacture and the wood cases actually cost more! If you want some quality and also to save a few dollars, take a look at the Sparmax "SP-35" as they build most of the Iwata compressors and some of the airbrush lines for them.

The white and black nozzles are for acrylic paints, as the manufacturer says. Also, there's one nozzle just for spattering effect.. I have had an airbrush Aztec A470 in beautiful wooden box, 6 nozzles, three side feed cups, and 4 or 5 gravity feed cups, hose, wrench, adapter for 1/4" and adapter for air-can. And VHS tape with a detailed inquiry. On I liked the feel of that airbrush in my hand, the trigger was fantastic (less pressure - less air volume), the line adjusting nut at the back was the best type compared to all types of line adjusting nut systems, from the crown system in front of the trigger when winding from the front, it pushes the trigger back (Paasche), then the small screw in front of the trigger (Badger 100, 100lg,) and the rear "brake" screw system on the back of the airbrush (Iwata, H&S, Creos, Sparmax). After the initial delight, I chose to start working only with properly diluted tempera with water, because I wanted to get a feeling working with this new, and cool designed airbrush, and learn much as possible use advantage and avoid weak points of new design and feeling. When I was used to cleaning the airbrush with such a non-aggressive medium with water and finally with Createx Cleaner. I only had that Aztek A430 for about a month when I noticed colored water leaking at the junction of the two halves of the handle of my airbrush. From the same handle that has a lifetime warranty!! What would have happened if I have used acrylic, enamel or some more aggressive varnish and would the deposits of that color accumulate and stick to the valve or adjusting nut system inside the handle and make it impossible to work? I sold that Airbrush to a customer who never got back to me. Maybe he doesn't worry about such little things. In any case, to me; 👎🏻

I really like this airbrush. It's so easy to use and light weight. It's not plastic but resin and seems very durable. I have had no problems at all what so ever and the ease of cleaning is hands down the best!!! Thanks Testors!!!

I have been using one of these since the early 90's and love it. I am still using the same one and have replaced a few tips but that was due to poor cleaning habits but the body still works great.

i think the extra bungs are for the cups, when you change colors you DON'T dump the cup, simply put a plug in the pipe end, and change colors, like on a siphon fed brush (aka the jar with the straw top)- this plug stops the color running out and spilling paint everywhere!!

The Aztek airbrushes are unique. I really appreciate this concept. And it still seems to pull its weight all these years after it arrived. The lifetime warranty is legit. I got a brand new body for free when my old body had to be replaced because i had fully submerged it in mineral spirits. But the old manuals did not say anything about not doing this. I have to say i opened a beige (thin) 0.30? nozzle once and inspected the tip. It was bent, but not to the naked eye! Disappointing. But i did get a new one at the same time. One thing that still confuses me is wheather or not this is a pure acrylic airbrush or if this can tolerate enamels/laquers as well. It may seem this product was initially intended for acrylics. The price may be high for a plastic airbrush, but the people behind this product are solid :) Grab one if you can. It is very easy to use and only minimal cleaning involved. :)

Open the handle. The airline runs the length of the airbrush, it's likely plugged. Easy to even replace it with better.

I have the DA7777 kit which I purchased some 15 years ago. Still new in the box. Contains A270 single action and A470 dual action brushes with all the tips and accessories. I think I purchased the kit for around $100 USD.
The kit comes with two VHS tapes, which I can no longer watch. :( Just wished someone would provide a more detailed "how to" with the A470 brush.

  • @Dallas-Nyberg

@iliaspap88 I just bought an Infinity 2 in 1.....brilliant airbrush.....my other main airbrush is an Aztek 3000s (now sold as an A470) ...it's twenty years old and still works good as new.
A lot of people are a bit twee about the so called "plastic" construction...it's resin actually..it certainly is not a cheapy or a toy......It's easy to use and easy to clean.....it's a great airbrush
What were the two issues you encountered?

I thought those black extra thing ( 7:40) u put on the side were screw. I learn that mines is just a double action only. I cant complain i bought 500.00 worth of model stuff for 100.00.

I just adore this little "toy" It just is something else than your ordinary paint brush. Got mine back in 2000 and the VHS that followed. Do YOU know if this material is available on CZcams? I don`t have a VHS player anymore :-( I need to know what that little figure with a bomb head is called..nitro bum of some sort i think. Hopefully it wasn`t scratchbuilt..

This tool is superior to others. But it's like a Bic razor
it is jetable.Vous will change often there is no piece of repair and its life if you use it often is 6 months to one year after maximum.Sans air leakage that is on lon the new models.
