- Ramesh Sippy (born 23 January 1944) is an Indian film director and producer, best known for directing the popular and critically acclaimed film Sholay. He is a winner of the civilian honour of Padma Shri in 2013.
Sippy's father was producer GP Sippy His son Rohan Sippy is a film director. He founded Ramesh Sippy Academy of Cinema and entertainment in Mumbai.
This is the best show on earth, specially host Irfan sir he is so humble and ask questions who is so Relevevent to viewers. Keep it sir love you ❤❤

Irfan sir again i am watching your interview video with Ramesh ji. I'm lucky and happiest person that i worked with rameshji for star plus channel serial gaathaa. Before this i operated sholay in cinema hall as an projectionist. Rameshji is genius in his direction. I respect rameshji he great person. 💓🌹👍

Sholay was a complete film - brilliancy in all aspects coming together - what a brilliant action sequence in the train - the emotions in which the audience got carried away - the music, direction, acting, cinematography, sound engineering , everything was mindblowing.

Both looks like a brother
The scene shown towards the end of the interview is from recently re-dubbed version of Sholay which came in 2014. The sound, background score sounds very dull, diluted.. The original film was post-produced at Pinewood studios, London UK by Ramesh Sippy and Mangesh Desai. The sound design of 1975 "Sholay" was magnanimous, majestic. R.D.Burman's amazing background score created magic. There were many mad audience then who would go to the theaters again and again just to listen to the sound of coin Veeru throws after Jai's death.
First 70 mm film of Indian cinema. Sholay ran for so many weeks in Minerva theatre , Mumbai. My eldest brother was a big full buff. Whenever any of our relatives came from outstation taking them to see Sholay in Minerva theatre was a given.

Out of 36 minutes, 6 minutes were spent on the introduction. Introduction should be not more than 2-3 minutes at most. Whatever narration is given in the introduction should be covered during the interview itself. We are here to listen to the guest , not the introduction.
