A better way to learn chords on a given key has yet to be invented. And chords spawn more chords and experimentation. This is a great channel!

I play rhythm guitar so i barely do solos and this was so easy for me to find a melodic groove with to actually feel some melodies. I wish this video was 10 hours long.

This backing track allowed me to improvise in a way I didn't even know I could, and it really kickstarted my jazz piano phase and brought me out of the rigid classical style. Thank you so much for the inspiration, I will forever remember this as the video that began my jazz piano journey!

I use these backings in almost all of my double bass lessons for students to improvise over - they absolutely love it.
More like this. Great track allowing for smooth, easy-going jazzy licks, right into full-blown "You're eating this minor pentasandwich" territory.

this is such a beautiful smooth jam. tracks like these just make me want to quit everything and become a jazz player
💛 love this comment, definitely felt that way before - for stuff like this you'd probably get the best results setting it up like an 80s/90s RnB band and taking that jazz mentality into it, not unlike some Erykah Badu lineups or something - that way you won't have as many annoying elitists coming to gigs and going "this isn't jazz!", you'll instead get more music fans going "oh daaaang" when you play
Of course I'm just a randomer sharing an opinion, but I think the thing you're talking about is super doable and not an unpopular type of band - if you dig this stuff, try it out!

Why do I love this chord progression so much? Uhhhh ... because it's awesome!!! I find myself phrasing more so in F Ionian and A Phrygian on this particular track more so than D natural minor.

I've been at a plateau with my guitar playing for years...recently got interested in learning to improvise playing lead (not much prior knowledge of scales) and omg I've learned so much from these tracks and scales.
