Left Right 90s style R&B with the vocals harmonies and adlibs from Jurin and Juria vocal styling was done really beautifully and lyrics were nice

I'm pretty sure XG will do promotions in US and other countries after they're done with Korea music shows. However, they already did interviews with international publications.
Also, it's a long shot, but I hope XG will get a Grammy nomination too.

NCT girls haha, yes! You get it x It’s the 90s R&B + Hip Hop MaryJB, Guy, Tony Toni Tone, TLC energy of NCT that we’re feeling with XG. Especially with NCT, is a specific sound they have that shows that have real people from that generation and scene working with them. It’s not just “retro” through a pop filter. Same with XG. Like you said - “a black man wrote this” I feel similar, if not a black man, someone in my generation, black american, korean american, mix or whatever background that grew up with old hip hop and new jack swing as their original sound. And aside from all of that these young women are amazing all arounders. I hope they succeed in the us and internationally.

absolutely blown away by that comparison to XG being NCT girls -- their 90s/00s R&B style has me massively crushing on XG same way I felt being run over by them golden NCT B-sides! and the Taeil/Doyoung and Juria/Chisa vocal volleying plus the Harvey / Mark rapping with it is what I love and live to hear so they better keep 'em coming! i'm not even into girl groups but XG changed my mind, I say ULT-worthy for sure!

The thing is - early Korean music was heavy on R&B. It was the dominant style in Korea. Especially SM entertainment songs always been mostly R&B. Then in the mid 2000s Hiphop and experimental music started take the audience more. My point that South Korea is not distant to this style. Old fans definitely are vibing with this.

Behind the scenes: CEO of XGALX (Korea based sub-label of Japanese music conglomerate Avex, $400 million company) is named Simon (Produces under name "Jakops", 36 years old) is the visionary behind this group, and the hands on producer of everything about them. They largely reflect his life experience as a Half-Japanese, Half-Korean born in the US, and a former Rapper in the 2nd generation Kpop Boy Group called Dalmation (later called DMTN). So his vision was to create a global Girl Group. He selected all Japanese from Avex's training pod, and trained them there for 4 years, then moved them to Korea, to leverage the Kpop infrastructure that has gone global, whereas Japan's music market is largely closed due to draconian music rights/broadcast/IP laws that limit global exposure to international markets. Plus the Jpop market for the last 10 years has been dominated by large GGs with a young, "Cute" concept teens by the likes of AKB48 (48 member GG!). So the decision was to sing only in English to maximize access to the global market, use Japanese girls (Japan is the 2nd largest music market after USA) and become fluent in Korean and use their music shows and production talent to create videos and content, and target a more global Retro 90s, Y2k Hip-Hop and R&B vibe concept in the music, only sung in English. So TLC, Destiny's Child, Lauryn Hill, Ciara, others in that space are inspirations and the target concept for their music. And now they are doing it. Most recent #4 single "Left Right", is getting top 40 music play on American radio stations, and they have done half a dozen interviews with US radio stations recently. Left Right was recently remixed as a 1 minute teaser at Coachella, at the global star' Jackson Wang's (from Hong Kong, rapper, singer, fluent in English, Korean and Chinese, member of Kpop BG GOT7 for 7+ years) live stage, where he surprised everyone with CIARA (Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson's main squeeze, and 90s R&B legend) singing live on stage with him (their new single Collab is called "Slow", Fire R&B!) and XG's "Left Right" MV was playing on the big screen behind them! as a Remix by Jakops specifically for Jackson and Ciara is being sung by them, while they tell the audience to Heads Up to the screen featuring XG! Total strategic coup! They about to blow up, as they go to KCON Japan May 13 (with 20 other Kpop groups like Ateez, TheBoyz, Itzy, BoysPlanet, Le Sserafim, Viviz, more) , and Head in the Clouds New York May 21 (also with Itzy there, Milli, more). I expect the full Ciara/Jackson remix to be released by HITC in May, perhaps with live performances, and perhaps live performance of the Shooting Star Remix also by Jakops, with Rico Nasty, the Puerto Rican American performer. I also expect that they may do some Radio, TV, and interviews while in NY and Japan.
