He seems intelligent to... always making the unselfish correct decision with his passing...i like that in a international forward

You can hear him constantly bossing his players... he's basically walking some of the players through the game... he's a leader... and all good teams need leaders of men
Most people commenting like the flashy and skilled players. Hendo is a leader and gives stability in the midfield. He's in the squad for his leadership and presence.
He also covers RB position when it is needed

Looking at the potential World Cup knockout draw.
England is in the theoretically tougher half.
The other half is likely to feature a Brazil vs Spain quarterfinals, the winner of that match is favoured to make the finals in their half.
England need to have the balls to play a support AMF to support Kane. Instead of Kane supporting everyone else. Mount gets his chance to do it and offers zero, so why can't Grealish or Maddison?
Honesty Henderson has no right starting , his good for the last 20 mins but if you both have Rice a defensive mid , Bellingham who’s a box to box , you need to start Maddison a creative midfielder
He made a difference vs USA and was solid all night against Wales
He's the best leader in that squad and the experience he brings is invaluable in tournament situations.

With a population of just over 3 million compared to England with over 55 million, then the league set up etc, it’s always going to be tough for countries like Wales to make it to finals etc. They have been helped by having a couple of excellent players who have been in big teams in big leagues. Hope they don’t have to wait so long to get to another finals.
Uruguay have won the World Cup twice with a population of 3.4 million.
Great Britain would have at least won another 2 world cups, if it competed like in the Olympic games. Over the years, there have been a few decent Welsh players such Ryan Giggs who would have made a Great Britain team if there was one in world cup.

This is one of the most mediocre world cups I’ve seen. Brazil and France probably look about the best so far, but even they look distinctly average. This is a chance for England, we’ll see how positive Southgate is now in the knockout stage. Wales fans should be proud their team even got here, just a shame Bale and Ramsey got here four years too late.

And nobody says he is one of the best players in the world. Of course he isn't on the same level as Mbappe, Lewandowski, Haaland, Neymar or a few others. You could argue he's in the group that is the next step down from that. Still would get into most teams. But his lack of pace has always been his main negative. If he had that extra yard of pace he would be right up there with Lewandowski and Haaland.
